Rubicon’s team is like a genie in a bottle creating magic with its affordable packages that include photography, custom ceremony site on the 30-acre property, lush fresh flower bouquets and boutonnieres, a house made wedding cake, the officiant and more. We are a family farm venue with an authentic vintage 1820 farmhouse and an event space that seats 150 nestled in the shadow of Pinehurst Village in southern North Carolina.

The venue can seat around 200 guests comfortably. The main space is a dream with beautiful white shiplap walls, gorgeous stained plank cathedral ceiling and lots of natural light. The main space is heated and cooled so you can be comfortable in any season. There is a covered porch that leads to a large flagstone patio with a white fireplace, this is a great space for rehearsal dinners or just an extension of the reception space. The bridal suite is in a separate building adjacent to the venue. Recently built in 2023, with nearly 800 sq feet you and your wedding party will have a comfortable space to enjoy the day. Finally, there is an open air chapel that can seat 200 guests comfortably. It has beautiful cathedral style windows in the front and back of the chapel and open arches on the sides. This chapel will make a great rain back up option for your wedding day or if you love it as much as we do, it can be a beautiful plan A option as well.

With a reimagined chapel, Euro-inspired courtyard, and beautifully landscaped grounds, this dream setting capacity is 100 guests or less. Sugarneck is rumored to have gotten its name by the bootleggers traveling along the Cape Fear River as a code word for the place where they would pick up their moonshine. Sugarneck reaches back long before smartphones and social media, back to a time when the only way to send a message was by writing a letter and sending it in the mail. One of the earliest U.S. Post Offices in North Carolina still stands strong today. It was a community where people gathered, shared news and good times. Built in 1874, the renovated original Cabin structure serves as a unique visual reminder of those simpler times. The Cabin and the Post Office are on the National Register of Historic Places. The vast scenic views of the North Carolina countryside along with the grandness of our 150 year old Oak trees do not go unnoticed, and at night, the stars light up the sky. Today, there is an unexpected immersive experience that brings history, nature and modern elegance together in total privacy.

The world melts away as you drive up our long, gated entrance to the Westwood compound. Sitting on top of a lofty ridge, with unparalleled views, you'll find yourself immediately miles away from the hustle and bustle. Relax, partake, drink in our sumptuous offerings of earth, water, fire and sky. At Westwood there are 4 distinct wedding locations. The front or back lawn of the lodge provide an intimate and regal setting for your event. The Moongate, which symbolizes everlasting love, nestled between The Lodge and The Grange, accomodating 200. Foxtail Lake has a beautiful view of the sunset and also accomodates 200.

In the year of 1762, Mr. Newberry and Mr. Thames purchased the land from Mr. Gray. In the deed, there was mention of a sawmill and grist mill on the place, but no mention of a house. In 1833 Mr. Byrne purchased the land from Mr. Newberry. At this time the house and store were on the land. Later on Mr. Byrne sold the land, and it change hands several times..." The house served as a mill home, store, and the Gray's Creek post office for many years.

Enjoy our 3,000 outdoor patio with our stone fireplace, wrought iron gazebo, all overlooking our 4,000 lavender plants.
