“My only regret is not writing my review and a public THANK YOU to Kasie and her husband, Dan, sooner (I'm so sorry!!). My husband and I got married on 1/3/25 and I was a nervous wreck of a bride. I very much fell into all the pressure of other people's opinions of what I should/shouldn't do for my wedding and my wedding photos…but Kasie was an exceptional listener. Through conversations upon my first booking with Kasie, I told her exactly what I was expecting for my wedding day (we didn't want a first look or first touch) and she took note. Included were engagement photos and she made it feel so easy and fun, and her excitement fueled us and made us more comfortable. As we got closer to the big day, we had more conversations and I filled out a very detailed questionnaire of what we want, and who we want for specific photos. In the questionnaire, I mentioned how we would do a first touch (yep - you guessed it, I folded to the pressure) and went into details there. We had a phone call based on the questionnaire and she asked point blank, 'do you want to do a first touch or do you feel like you have to do a first touch?' I fumbled and said that I feel like I need to do one and her response was, "Perfect! Then we're not doing one!" THE RELIEF!!!!!! I felt like she was the strength that I lacked during the pressure of wedding planning - I couldn't be more grateful for her. WEDDING DAY??? She and Dan knocked it out of the park well before we even received a sneak peak of our photos. Their excitement, professionalism, and their way of wrangling our massive families for quick (and beautiful) photos…my mom wouldn’t stop raving about how amazing and pleasant they were all day. I felt sadness when they said their goodbyes. Kasie - a huge thank you to you. You are an amazing person and an amazing photographer who truly captures those candid, genuine, real moments so beautifully. Dan - thanks for being such a great hype man and working with Dylan (LOL). Dylan and I talk about how happy we were with you two and we had so much fun. We hope to stay in touch! “My partner and I eloped last weekend at SF City Hall and just opened our sneak peek of Dani's coverage of the day... The photos are beautiful and so authentic to us as a couple. She did an incredible job and we are so happy that we were able to work with her. Throughout the process, Dani was very communicative and available to answer all of our questions. She also took the time to get to know each of us individually, our story as a couple, and our goals/hopes for the day which I think really contributed to her nailing the vibe we were going for. She helped us brainstorm how to get the most out of our 3-hour shoot time and we were able to get in an impressive amount of shots in two different locations without feeling rushed or stressed. Throughout the shoot, she did a great job balancing directing us with letting us just exist together, which resulted in really natural looking photos of us that don't have an overly-posed look. But she definitely got both of our good sides lol. She also handled a high-traffic wedding day at SF City Hall with grace-- there were lots of couples getting married at the same time and it took some coordinating to get the best shots, but she made it happen! Dani is warm, respectful and kind and brought exactly the kind of energy we needed to our wedding day! It goes without saying, but I would recommend her to anyone who is looking to commemorate their special day.”

That day comes and my family couldn't stop talking about how much they adored her! Honestly, she will make you feel like she has known you and your family forever. Okay, I'm probably losing you here so fast forward to our real wedding last weekend and as things go, we got a little bit behind in makeup so Andrea (and her AMAZING second-shooter Rachel) were already at the venue getting the groom shots, details shots, etc. I get there, I'm stressed, not entirely confident in my last-minute coordinator supplied by my venue, and there's Andrea ready to greet me with a huge hug, smile and all the reassuring words a bride needs to hear. Instant relief. When I tell you that Andrea (and Rachel <3) went ABOVE AND BEYOND their job description, I whole-heartedly mean it. She literally bustled my dress and helped me get in/out when I needed to pee. Without this girl, my day would have been unbelievably chaotic and frankly, a mess, but she truly saved it. She will not only photograph your day and produce those breathtaking photos (which she 10000% did because I already got my sneak peeks), but she will be your shoulder to lean on because she truly cares about her brides and loves what she does. Here's an unexpected fact - I hated weddings when I first started second shooting them. It broke my heart to see couples being rushed, overwhelmed, and not truly having any connection to couples. That's what drove my passion to breath a fresh air into the wedding experience! Plan with intention, focus on being present, and building genuine relationships with couples! You should be heard, appreciated, and understood. You should feel encouraged to get married your way.

“Read for my true heartfelt experience with Angelica at Dawnpoint, but in short - hire her. This should be the easiest decision you make in your wedding planning journey. I came across Dawnpoint after she documented the wedding of someone I know. Those pictures felt so authentic and real. They took me right to the event and made me feel so much. I knew I needed to meet her. From my initial zoom meeting with Angelica, we hit it off. I said I wanted to get the best views in our pictures. She was on board right away. For our engagement pictures, she took us on a hike. Chris and I showed up in hiking gear with our formal wear in our packs. So did Angelica. This may seem so minuscule but for two people who had never been photographed and just wanted someone to make them feel comfortable and to capture something real, this made us trust her from the get go. Needless to say, those pictures were amazing. We even used them for our save the dates! Fast forward to our wedding day in Lake Placid on June 15, 2024. My goals were ambitious but Angelica was on board every step of the way. From creating the timeline to executing the plan the day of, it was the least stressful part of our day. What I loved most was that she listened to my vision and incorporated it in everything she did that day. I even forgot that I wanted a specific picture of my dress, but she definitely did not. When I was getting ready, she had my bridal party share personal stories of us and it was so sweet, I felt so connected to the people closest to me that day and it helped me stay grounded and present from the beginning. For our first look, we wanted to meet at the top of Whiteface Mountain. This was 40 minutes away from our venue and logistically a lot of things could go wrong. Yet, Angelica was a smiling face reassuring me that we could do it. Everything from asking for us to skip the elevator line, to clearing the space on Whiteface for Chris and I to get our moment. I was and remain truly speechless of how she actually made this happen. The pictures speak for themselves. After, we returned to our venue and without delay resumed with a first look with my dad (which I added last minute and was meeted with so much excitement from Angelica). One of my favorite parts was golden hour pictures. I take zero credit here. This was Angelica’s idea and I am so thankful. It was a truly beautiful and authentic experience to photograph the newly wed joy I felt. This is just one of so many ways in which Angelica showed that she was as present and invested in our day as we were. After receiving my sneak preview pictures, I was honestly met with so much emotion. I was brought right back to each moment and exactly how I was feeling. I am truly blown away because if anyone can get a picture to tell a thousand words, it is Angelica. She perfectly captured our day and was the single most best decision I made that day. Unsolicited feedback from my guests: “Your photographer smiled the entire night! She looked like she was having so much fun!” This was feedback I got multiple times and it goes to show much Angelica loves her job! P.S. Jake, her second shooter, was also an absolute pleasure. Together, their energy was infectious.”

“Booking Tati & Roman was hands down the BEST decision we made for our wedding. We were looking for someone with more of an editorial style with a focus on genuine candid photos, and they absolutely delivered!!! Tati & Roman took the time to get to know us and what the vibe of our wedding would be like, and it translated SO well in their photos. When we told them we were leaning into a movie theme and wanted to do our engagement photos in a movie theater, they really took the idea and brought it to life in ways we hadn’t even imagined. People are STILL talking about how cool our engagement photos were. And now we all can’t stop gushing over our wedding photos!! They captured everything so beautifully - all of the love and absolute joy of the day just shines through each photo. They took so many gorgeous photos of our loved ones too - the best photos we've ever seen of many of them! Trying to pick only a few of our photos for this post feels IMPOSSIBLE.
