The Talented Photographer was an absolute dream to work with for our wedding. From the very first interaction, Alec's communication style was fun, professional, and incredibly personable. He had a true passion for his craft that shone through in every interaction. The quality of Alec's work was absolutely stunning - we got a wonderful variety of candids, formal shots, and editorial-style pictures that captured all the special moments of our day. Alec has an incredible eye for the right shots, and the final photos are absolutely gorgeous. Despite a complicated location schedule that I was worried about, Alec made the whole day seamless, traveling to over 4 different spots to ensure we got all the groupings and special shots we wanted. Alec truly went above and beyond, and we had such a great time working with him. I'm obsessed with the pictures and would give him an 11/10 rating!

Victoria is an amazing photographer to work with! I found her on relatively short notice for my proposal (she said yes!) and had to change my plans due to inclement weather, to which Vic was flexible enough to accommodate. She was able to hideout to catch the moment candidly, followed by a beautiful beach photoshoot. Thank you Victoria for being part of our special moment!

I am a Portland native through and through! My love for photography rivals only my love of traveling. My interest in photography began at a young age, thanks to my Uncle and 8th grade math teacher. After over 18 years of experience, I have mastered the art of putting my clients at ease and creating an environment for them to be present and most importantly be themselves. I have a deep passion for not only the images I create but for the people I work with. I truly consider it an honor to be a part of someone’s wedding day and the images we create together become reflective memories for the couple, not just snapshots in time.

Cambrae was very easy and fun to work with. She is very professional and good at communicating. The photos are so amazing and the prices are totally reasonable. Highly recommend!

My name is Ali Cushing, a NY-based photographer, working near and far, capturing life, love, and letting people be themselves. My goal first and foremost is contributing to you having a wonderful experience and getting to live in the moment; making the photos about the day and not the day about the photos. I approach each opportunity with personalized care and whatever your photographic goals and day's plans, I’d love to be a part of and to document your story. All couples of all genders, ethnicities, ages, faiths, shapes and abilities, are more than welcome.

Awarded Best of Zola
I am SO HAPPY that we hired Ali for our wedding! She was so kind and easygoing while also totally in command and on top of every request we had photography wise. Her years of wedding coordination and event experience were truly evident throughout every step of the day. Not only was she totally on top of keeping us on our timeline and capturing all of the special moments, but she even went into super hero mode and on the spot sewed one of my bridesmaids dresses in the bathroom right before the ceremony without showing an ounce of stress. We already received our preview photos and are truly blown away by how she captured our love & our special day. Her attention to detail, calming presence, and creative approach are truly invaluable and we will be recommending her to everyone we know for years to come!

My husband is my second photographer, so we come as a photo team! Just like you, I have felt awkward in front of the camera. I’ve had photos taken of me that I didn’t like. When you go on a session with me, I will not only make you feel comfortable, but I will make sure you look good! I will give you prompts to keep you moving so you look and feel natural and comfortable. I’m sorry but there are some angles, and poses that are not flattering for everyone. Like, please don’t take a photo of me from below! Hello double chin! What I’m saying is, I Got You!

Awarded Best of Zola
Lacie captured moments that took my breath away. Her style and skill is every bride’s dream. She delivers everything you adore from those Pinterest and Instagram wedding photos. So there is no question she can deliver what she is looking for. And we are beyond thrilled with all of our photos. The sneak peeks are also so much fun (she sends a batch of photos shortly after she shoots you). But where Lacie shines and what I have to tell you about is everything else. She truly went above and beyond. She’s not just a photographer, she’ll be one of your favorite people on your special day. Yes, Lacie is kind and friendly and comforting and just the kind of person you need on your wedding day (and who you wished you roomed with in college). But she is so much more. Here are just some of the few meaningful things Lacie did that I noticed that I’ll forever carry with me. Firstly, I had a very important rosary I wanted to photograph, and with the chaos, I had forgotten. It would have broken my heart if I left it behind. Lacie remembered. I got fixated on an insignificant hiccup on my wedding day that could have ruined my day. Lacie redirected my attention to the things that really mattered and brightened up my mood immediately. Leading up to the wedding, Lacie advocated for me and my husband ensuring us she was fully dedicated to only us on the day, literally saying “You and Sean are my priority.” Nobody and nothing would take her attention away from us. She was always quick to respond to texts, I could go to her for quick wedding advice, and she’s genuinely so passionate about her craft. Lacie could really be a wedding planner with how much she knows. Other vendors loved working with her, especially our videographers. She was so quick, efficient, and took initiative. She gave them space and skillfully took turns capturing moments with them. With a big wedding party and spacious venue, we kept losing track of people for pictures, Lacie corralled them masterfully. She’s not afraid to get people to focus and get the photos done, but also in the most polite and respectful way. I watched videos of brides saying I wish this or that moment was captured. Sometimes I’d forget whether I had those moments captured myself. Then I go to Lacie’s photos and every single thing that brides mentioned got missed by their photographer she captured for me. Her vibe! She’s so positive and cheery. I was so nervous and also worried about how dark my church was. She got me excited about it after turning it into a positive saying it would look like the theater and she could absolutely work with it. I texted her a shoot list the night before our wedding. She carried that around and took it so seriously making sure she captured everything I listed. I made a Pinterest board of photos I liked and she remembered ones I forgot I included in there. She was my favorite vendor (tied with my incredible florist @dazyflorals) and the vendor I had no worries about it. I didn’t have to check in with her. I could trust her with my eyes closed. She’d be where she needed to be on time, professional, and prepared. I’m going to miss her. Sign her and soak up her sunshine for me, will ya?

I am a photographer and artist from the Pacific Northwest with Costa Rican and Scottish roots. My favorite things are dinosaurs, exploring new cities, board games, soccer, National Parks, and whiskey. I have been fortunate to photograph 200+ weddings in my PNW home, to ruins in Scotland, cityscapes in Vietnam, to the beaches of Maui, and beyond! I live in Portland, Oregon with my two dogs and three cats | 🏳️‍🌈🦖⛰️✈️📸⚽🫶🏼🌈🌲🦕🏝 Fun Fact: I was born on Leap Year Day so I'm 9 years old 🥳!

Awarded Best of Zola
I could write a book about Leah; or at least a very detailed blog post but I'll try to keep it shorter! As a fellow professional photographer, I got the opportunity to meet Leah and work with her as her 2nd photographer on a wedding. It took that one amazing experience and absolute blast of a time to know that whenever it was I got married she was THE photographer for me. Fast forward some years later it was finally my turn to tie the knot and my now husband and I chose our date based on when Leah was available, because there was no other option for me! I have gotten to work with dozens of photographers throughout my going on 10 year career, and I'm telling y'all, it doesn't get better than Leah. The photos - amazing! I love her eye for details, the crispness, the colors! Not to mention she is such a beautiful soul with the best personality and energy, with the professionalism to get a gallery worth of beautiful photos with you barely realizing she's there. While going through our gallery, I was stunned and overjoyed so many times to see things I had NO idea happened or even photos of people that I unfortunately didn't get to spend much time with yet seeing that they still enjoyed themselves. In my opinion, a photographer is the most important vendor you can choose for your wedding day. I am so thankful my experience in the wedding industry allowed me to cross paths with Leah because that made a really important decision very easy for me. And I hope my review can help other soonlyweds out there make a hard decision easier. You will not go wrong choosing Leah to photograph your big day!

I have been a photographer for 8 years. Throughout my time as a photographer I’ve captured clothing, models, and memories. I shifted from corporate shootings to families and weddings because it gave me this warm fuzzy feeling when I edited my couples and families photos. Don’t be afraid to reach out to me and ask about my photography style, my editing style, or my favorite restaurant! I highly recommend scheduling a free consulting session!

If I could give Grace and her assistant 10 stars I would! Our wedding was very low key with no day of coordinator, etc. Grace and her assistant helped my husband and I navigate the day. We were also very nervous about having photos taken and she did a wonderful job at putting us at ease and helping us with poses. Our wedding photos turned out amazing and we get so many compliments on them! I highly recommend Grace for your wedding!

Hi, I’m Isaac. In my world, light is everything. The cool ambient hues at dawn, hinting at what the day may bring. Golden sun rays catching particles through a tree as friends gathers to celebrate. A Cotton candy sunset peppered by patio string-lights as a DJ plays my favorite song. We all have timeless memories logged in our minds. For me, they are based in a language of light. As a wedding photographer, this deep connection to special lighting helps me produce dynamic visual stories of romance, personality and beauty.

Awarded Best of Zola
We loved Isaac and his wife, Jing, who photographed our wedding earlier this month. Isaac was super calm and collected and on top of everything. His photography style was perfect for us. He already delivered about half of our retouched photos a week after the wedding which was insane and I love every single one. He was flexible with the 5 flower girls we had in and out of pictures and the multiple areas on our venue property. Overall an amazing experience and I recommend his work to anyone and everyone looking. He was very considerate when I first reached out about his work and wanted to use him and was very mindful of his travel fees to fit in our budget.

My name is Nadia. I specialize in elopements + adventure weddings in the Pacific Northwest. I help people have the wedding of their dreams in magical outdoor spaces. When you choose to elope, you’re choosing to get married free of society’s wedding day expectations. So go wild! Spend the entire day in your favorite place, with your favorite person. Wear a fancy outfit, or wear your hiking boots. Invite your dog instead of your mom’s second cousin. Share your first kiss under the stars instead of under an altar. In the great outdoors, you write the wedding rules. And I’m here to help make it an experience you’ll remember for a lifetime.

Awarded Best of Zola
When we began looking for a photographer for our micro-wedding, we gravitated towards Nadia’s images over and over again. Not only did they capture raw, intimate moments between couples and families, but they elevated those moments in elegant and natural landscapes of the PNW; everything we wanted. We reached out and set up a consultation call immediately. We were initially nervous and felt very unprepared to speak with photographers because we had zero ideas for what our special day would look like, but after our call with Nadia we were confident that Venture Ever After was the right choice for us. She was so knowledgeable and did a TON of legwork planning our timeline to best capture the moments we wanted in the lighting we needed, recommending a variety of locations for some private moments as a couple and group activities with our family, and keeping us grounded and calm throughout the entire process. On our wedding day, Nadia took the reigns and gently guided us through the day with compassion and grace. She constantly reminded us that each moment was for us and encouraged us to revel in all of the details. She even conquered some pretty crazy heights armed with multiple cameras and a walky-talky to capture some dramatic and beautiful couple’s portraits. Beyond being an incredible photographer, Nadia is one of the most genuine and kind people I’ve met. She has a knack for keeping elopement/wedding day energy light and helping her clients feel natural in front of the camera. My partner and I truly felt like models. I feel so blessed to have our wedding photographed by her and, above all, be able to call her a friend. I would recommend Nadia at Venture Ever After to everyone planning an elopement, wedding, or adventure in the PNW. In fact, I hope to be able to visit her and capture anniversaries and momentous occasions for our family long into the future.

Imagine a wedding day that feels like stepping into your favorite storyline —intimate, magical, and unapologetically yours. I help craft experiences for couples who value creativity, intentionality, and a touch of wonder. My photography is a blend of both documentary and editorial, combined in such a way that feels authentic and timeless. From windswept vows on a mountaintop to quiet toasts in a mossy forest. Based in Oregon, I specialize in elopements that celebrate your individuality and sentimental parts of your story. Let’s create some truly magical photographs—together.

My husband and I booked Mioara after we got engaged in 2018 for our wedding scheduled for 2020. She's sweet, personable, communicative and professional. She truly goes above and beyond to make sure you are happy with her services. We worked with Mioara for a very long time due to the pandemic pushing everything back and/or rescheduling, she was so kind and flexible to whatever we needed throughout. We knew immediately after meeting her and doing our engagement session that she was the perfect fit for us, laid back and fun with a way of making you feel relaxed and comfortable in front of the camera. We were blown away by our beautiful pictures when we got them back! On our wedding day she captured all the important moments along with some fun creative ones as well. Mioara has an eye for capturing couples naturally, making for pictures that are reflective of your personalities. We honestly couldn't have been happier and left the experience not only with beautiful pictures but feeling like we had gained a friend.

I am a firm believer that friendship comes from learning the weird and quirky about a person, and still wanting to hang out with them after. And, since you will literally spend more time with your photographer than most anyone else on your wedding day, I want to be friends. We NEED to be friends. Like, I’ll-probably-end-up-holding-your-dress-up-while-you-pee type friends. That’s practically BFF status. I’m not only in the business of capturing your epically rad and emotional moments, I am also in the business of making lasting friendships, both of which I’m really awesome at.

Dionne was amazing! Our photos turned out beautiful! I have no idea how we will choose which photos to frame!

Hello! My name is Dana (pronounced 'Donna') and I was born and raised in Mexico, and now I currently reside in Vancouver, WA with my husband and three fur babies. I love to travel and explore the beautiful Pacific Northwest, and beyond! I am so grateful to be able to photograph couples and families displaying so much fun and love. I primarily shoot couples, maternity & destination weddings, and elopements. When I'm not working behind the camera, you can find me hiking, doing pottery, painting, practicing yoga, playing music, or finding new places to eat.

Awarded Best of Zola
I don't even know where to begin this review. If you're like me and weighing/ weighed out 100's of photographers, I hope this post helps put Dana in your top 5 or immediately your number 1 pick. Short version: this sweet woman slipped in cow poo and continued to take our photos until she felt the job was done. Our love was captured in a way we didn't know it could be and we are eternally grateful for her and the experience she provided us. Long version: Dana went above and beyond for mine and my husband's wedding photos. Throughout the process leading up to the big day, she made sure to get to know us as a couple and what we were looking for. She made me feel comfortable enough to text her my never ending questions/requests. She even sent us our printed film photos along with a separate letter with a hand written note after our wedding! When we all finally met at our destination, her and her husband gave us some of their personal travel remedies and I still have some with us for our next trip!! Dana's work in and of itself is catering to the love of a couple. It felt very natural, she didn't force us to stand or sit or look a certain way, unless she could tell we were feeling bashful and needed some direction. She made sure to ask if there were any specific photos we were looking for - which I feel is a small but very big gesture as she was again focusing on us and our wants for the day. Her editing style is very warm and subtle, which I personally adore. My husband and I are very authentic people so having photos of us that felt authentic and raw were very important to us. Another deciding factor in choosing Dana was that her photos make sure to capture the scenery but still highlight and focus on the couple. We had a destination wedding in Switerland and felt this was something that many phoyographers did not do. But consistently in Danas work you can still see the focus on the couple with the scenery used as a compliment to them. She always made sure we were comfortable and that we were ourselves. We talked any chance we got which was an extra bonus as my husband and I both are socially anxious and she always made sure to have something kind or funny to say while making us feel comfortable and accepted by her and her husband. Now I know what you're thinking - how is this above and beyond she just seems really kind hearted. Yes that is one thing that was very important to us for our big day, having a team working for us, and with us, that focused on us and our needs, rather than their own. With that being said, this sweet woman literally did a summersault while slipping in cow poo on the side of a Swiss hill and continued to take our photos. Even after we pressed to go back to the hotel - of course we did after about another 15 minutes of photos. Now I can promise you I've heard a lot of things about wedding photographers, but I have never heard of one so dedicated to their work and clients to slip in poo and continue to do their work until they felt the job was done. Again Dana we cannot thank you enough for what you have gifted us with. To have our special moments captured for eternity is the greatest thing, and to actually love and adore these photos as well as the relationship you worked so hard to cultivate with us is the cherry on top. Thank you again for capturing our love.

I truly found a love for storytelling once I got into weddings. Weddings are these multifaceted community of stories and relationships that continue to keep me fascinated and excited about capturing them. I find that my style leans towards an editorial, storytelling side, with hints of sophisticatication, hues of modern relevance & overall timeless imagery.

I have known Jesi for over 20 years. She has a beautiful soul and has worked very hard at honing her skill. She previously took some amazing maternity photos for me that are flattering and artistic. They truly mean so much. I'm thankful for her artwork. This year we got the honor of having Jes take our wedding photos and our hearts couldn’t be more full. We are so happy we chose JesiB Photography to capture the most special day.

We are so happy we chose Lucia to capture our elopement. Lucia is professional, fast to respond to emails and texts, helpful with decisions, accommodating to any requests, concerns, and excited to give advice. Duncan and I really wanted our photographer to capture our true emotion and to get candids of us, and Lucia DID THAT! The day felt blissful and a key point for us was that we got to enjoy the day without it feeling solely like a photoshoot which I think speaks to Lucias talent and confidence in her craft. She was good at giving guiding advice for posing without us feeling posed. I put together a Pinterest board and shot list which she really did a great job pulling inspiration from. The photos are stunning and the exact style we envisioned. Also, our sneak peak was huge and she got them to us very fast. If you are torn between photographers or are just starting your research, you're in very safe hands to stop here. We hope to continue reaching out to Lucia in the future when we start a family.
