We went with an acoustic guitar player for ceremony, electric guitar cocktail hour and reception along with a DJ (Josuel lead) for the reception. We also had the photo station Photo Booth which was perfect for the setting. However our biggest compliments go to Josuel who was our lead DJ. He was organized, prepared and had an excellent presence and composure. He even sorted our last minute changes with the venues matre de because we and guests were taking too long at cocktail hour.. he figured out little changes so I didn’t have to! Above and beyond. Also he had everyone and I mean everyone dancing the whole night to a blend of 80s rock, 90s pop 2000s alt.. it was just perfect. Cannot say thank you enough to him and the whole EMG group.”

During the day of the ceremony, the Photo Booth attendant (Leslie) was very professional and very caring of all the guests. He was there to assist the guests from start to finish without leaving the spot. Very impressed. As the reception was rapping up, the bride and groom (us) really didn't have time to join the Photo Booth due to being so busy with other stuff. Leslie waited till the end to make sure we at least had some pictures ourselves of with other guests. The prints are really high quality and were worth every penny. The fact that we are able to get all the photos also digitally was a big bonus! Great service and highly recommend!”

But Johnny’s modest confidence and professionalism earned him the respect of those we asked to perform with him, meant that the performers loved the rehearsals, and gave us an end result that was so much more than we expected. “Highly, highly recommend the Barnstorm for a wedding or any event. We hired them for our wedding the last weekend of September 2019 in Montauk, and they absolutely put the night over the top! First and foremost, they are a great band; not your typical “wedding band”. They aren’t cookie cutter (i.e. you won’t hear them playing the same songs that you hear at every wedding) and they certainly aren’t stiff. They vibe off each other and the room. They are legitimately having a fun time performing with each other and that permeates throughout the room. Everyone will be up dancing, singing, drinking, and sweating their butts off, and having a blast! What to expect: -Professionalism. Brooks responds promptly and covers all bases. No detail will be overlooked during the planning stages. Day of, they get to the venue well ahead of time to sound check and make sure everything is sounding perfect. During the event, they are great at providing direction and making sure everything runs smoothly. -Personalization and flexibility. The guys truly care about making the event as special as possible and are very open to any idea to bring the event over the top. In addition to our “special request” songs (which they nailed) the band was incredibly gracious at my request to join them onstage to “surprise” my wife and guests by playing a song along with them. It could not have gone over any better…my wife was thrilled and it absolutely brought the house down! -Party! They know what will get everyone up and moving. Their catalogue of songs is well over 200 and it includes all decades and genres. Multiple guests commented that they didn’t want to leave the dance floor to get dessert or go to the bathroom because every song was such an amazing jam. The Barnstorm is absolutely worth every penny. We knew they were the right band for our wedding the first moment we heard them at Hill Country, and we feel so lucky and grateful to the guys for playing our wedding. On top of it all, my wife, friends, and I get to continue to relive that night by seeing their gigs throughout NYC! We simply cannot say enough great things about The Barnstorm.”

“We had so much fun at our wedding last month! We had everybody out on the dance floor the whole time. The best part was when the singers would walk out into the audience and include us in the performance. We were singing at the top of our lungs and just having the bet time. Great performers, and great customer service on the planning side. “Damien and the Sumar team were fantastic and made our wedding so fun and special! We booked The Wedding Crashers for our reception and their harpist for our ceremony. Damien worked with us for weeks leading up to our late June wedding to confirm every detail and helped us curate the perfect playlist. He even helped us customize a few songs so that they would have maximum impact. We unfortunately had a sudden rain delay to our ceremony but Damien didn’t miss a beat and perfectly adjusted to ensure everything ran smoothly. The harpist was absolutely beautiful and made our ceremony feel like it was straight out of a story book. The wedding crashes ensured that our dance floor was always packed and the party never slowed down. Its been a week since our wedding our guests are still raving about how amazing they were! We encourage our clients to come out and hear us live to decide for themselves. Much better than viewing a video and trusting it was all done live in one take.

“Hoi Polloi - 10/10 having a band was super important to us. Hoi Polloi was everything we could have hoped for and more! They played all the music we asked for and were great to work with from the start. We booked them for our ceremony, our cocktail hour, and had 11 people with horns and a DJ. They were fantastic to work with and we loved working with them. Jim is super responsive which makes a difference. He made sure the band knew all the music we wanted to play and they even interacted with guests (which I loved).They are also VERY reasonably priced and should probably charge more! They were great. I think the biggest compliment is that people from all ages kept saying they loved them which was perfect to me. They opened with Runaround Sue which is one of the best wedding songs in the world. Everyone got on the dance floor once that song came on and they didn’t leave.”
