Jeff was extremely responsive and professional throughout the planning process, and did a great job taking our preferences into account while also taking time to listen and care about the special moments - for example, playing a special song for my parents and making a nice announcement during the party. Jeff also helped keep us on schedule during the reception while still allowing us flexibility to enjoy the event. Jeff also coordinated effectively with the planners, event staff, and us leading up to the wedding day, as well as throughout the day and night. From a music perspective, Jeff was fantastic: he was flexible to take as little or as much direction as needed. For example, we chose specific songs for the ceremony and first dances which he cut for time and mixed to perfection. We gave a more general "vibe" for cocktail hour and he ran with building out a broader playlist for that, and he did a great job of keeping the dance floor rocking the entire night, while accepting our must plays, our "do-not plays" etc.”

My friend had him at her wedding a few years prior and highly recommended him, and I’m so glad we took her suggestion! Ed has a great DJ website where you can add all the songs you like, as well as which songs you don’t want to hear (which is very important for me). He then creates amazing mixes with the songs and knows how to keep the party going. I was really happy he was able to find our first dance song, which is from the 1940s and not easy to stream from just anywhere (thank you!!!). They learned two new songs to play alongside two vocalist performances during our ceremony, and jammed out during cocktail hour before becoming our emcees and DJs for the reception. They even made it work when we had a last-minute rain plan go into action. My guests will not stop talking about how great the music was throughout the whole event. “Summit Events and DJ Sean Markland were amazing to work with! Do you want to have the most epic dance party of your life at your wedding? Do you want your guests on the dance floor all night? Do you want the wedding playlist to be a reflection of you and your spouse's music choices? Then you want to book Summit Events ASAP. Our wedding DJ was Sean Markland and he was just phenomenal to work with. Prior to our wedding we had a lengthy call with Sean; my husband and I were very picky with our wedding playlist and had a rule of absolutely no traditional wedding reception songs or line-dances. We love electronic dance music (EDM) and wanted our wedding to be "festival/show vibes". We pretty much curated our own playlist of EDM, country, hip-hop, folk and I really wasn't sure how our guests would respond (and we really didn't care because it was our wedding), but the way Sean mixed and transitioned the songs and hyped up the dance floor kept the vibes going all night! We used Summit Events for our up lighting too - highly recommend as it was a great way to turn the room from a classy dinner reception to a dance party in one click! The sound quality was great for both speeches and music; we wanted to make sure guests could hear speeches clearly and we had no issues at all even though it was a large room. I also appreciated the Vibo app that we used to plan out our ceremony, entrances, first dances and our playlist for the night - it was a great tool that kept songs and notes in one place. “Our original DJ had a family emergency and I reached out to Jeremy one week before our wedding. He was somehow available which was the greatest miracle of our wedding. We were so stressed and he immediately calmed us down and ended the call with "let's have a wedding!" Given the timing, we didn't have time for another call before the day. He had a comprehensive questionnaire that covered every situation we wanted a specific song for (including our cake cutting song) so another call was not needed and he did everything perfectly. He is extremely adaptable and stepped in so many times without needing to be asked (helping corral people for pictures). He followed every song we wanted (and didn't want), but also was able to nail the vibe when given vague directions (chill love songs during our cocktail hour). The best part was when we opened up the dance floor, my Fitbit logged me as doing "sport" for 2 hours straight at one point and I did over 10,000 steps just from dancing. He kept people dancing and people loved it, my wife and I both had multiple people tell us our wedding was the one of the best they had been to BECAUSE of the DJ. My favorite part was he genuinely loves what he does, you could see the joy on his face when he made a great transition between songs and that energy was infectious. I would highly recommend him to anyone. He is extremely organized, professional, and fun. Jeremy, thank you for making our wedding unforgettable!”

He listened to every request we had leading up and I truly didn't think about a thing during the wedding day - he had our timeline completely under control and kept us on track (and if we were running behind I still have no idea because he's that good!!). The band is INCREDIBLE and had our guests on the dance floor all night!! I realized at the end of the night I never even changed out of my heels into my white sneakers because that would have meant leaving the dance floor. Our guests are still telling us how amazing the band was and several of them even got their card for their own events! Having Experience was the best decision we made!!
