In 1910, President Taft signed the bill to establish Glacier National Park as the country’s 10th national park. Mr. Healy was given a plumbing contractor for the train depot here in St. Paul, where he met Samuel Bartlett, the architect of many of the railroad depots and Glacier National Park Lodge. Healy then commissioned Bartlett to renovate and enlarge the house. In 1914, the farm was sold to John Healy, the owner of Healy Plumbing and Heating Company of St. Paul. Mr. Healy’s company became closely tied to the Great Northern Railroad, as it provided the heating and plumbing for many of the train depots that were being built around the country at that time. The farm was named Hope Glen Farm, the name of John Healy’s mother’s maiden name of Hope, and the house settles in a Glen, thus Hope Glen.

On the day of, the staff was amazingly helpful and attentive - Eryka in particular was a true godsend, keeping us organized and responsive to our every need. The Bridal Bliss decor package they offer is a must, as the venue looked absolutely beautiful and pristine. We couldn't have asked for a better experience, and feel the value we received was worth every penny. Plus a wedding night in a Tree House or Corn Crib Cottage? How can you beat that?! Wish I could give this venue an even higher rating!! The owners, Brad and Louise Madison, are truly two of the most kind and genuine people you will ever meet. They are extremely easy to work with and will do anything to make your day go perfectly! Our wedding was last Friday and Brad and Louise made sure everything went smoothly and was stress-free. Plus the venue is absolutely gorgeous, which is a result of how much passion and hard work these two have put into it! If you are looking for a venue with owners that truly care about getting to know you and making your day special, then this is the place!

We had an unforgettable wedding at the University of Minnesota Campus Club in February. We had about 6 months to plan our wedding and working with the staff at the Campus Club made the planning process more fun than anything! They had great taste and suggestions for the wedding, responded quickly to questions, and were so kind. We were also allowed to have our dog at the ceremony! It made the planning process streamlined because we could have the ceremony, dinner, food, and the dance floor all in one place. The venue already had so much character that one doesn't need a lot of extra decorations (and extra work). The space is so large that it does not feel crowded to have the entire wedding at this location. What drew us to this location were the stunning views of Minneapolis, the incredible food options (the guests could not stop talking about the steak!), and the multiple options you had for room choices. We rented out the West Wing and the bar area, which proved to be a great option for guests to mingle after the ceremony and before dinner. With amazing views, delectable food, and a beautiful venue it made our wedding a perfect day!

The St. Paul College Club was the perfect venue for our wedding. From the moment we first spoke with Tracy, our coordinator, we knew we were in great hands. She was prompt, helpful, and incredibly knowledgeable, guiding us through every step of the planning process. The venue itself is a gorgeous mansion with such a great variety of spaces. The cozy rooms and fireplaces make guests feel at home and give them a place to have a quiet convo, the outdoor space was gorgeous for our ceremony and for folks to catch some fresh air, and the grand ballroom looked beautiful for dinner and dancing. The food was outstanding - many of our guests said it was the best they had ever had at a wedding. The menu tasting event was especially helpful, as it allowed us to envision the setup and plan the perfect menu. Tracy's experience and attention to detail ensured that our wedding day was flawless. We couldn't have asked for a better venue or coordinator!

Quincy Hall was an incredible venue for our wedding! We had around 200 guests for our September wedding and it felt simultaneously spacious and cozy. The QH team was very responsive and helped with planning every step of the way. They were also super accommodating and helped fine ways for us to meet out budget while still getting the experience we were looking for. The venue and surrounding area had a number of spots for stunning, industrial vibe photos and we couldn't be happier with the look and feel for our day. Our food was also outstanding. We knew the food at Crave would be delicious, but we received so many compliments from guests about their meals. They have some of the most reasonable prices on the market and the catering staff were super professional and polished. Overall, we had a great experience and would highly recommend Quincy Hall!

Having attended several weddings leading up to and after our day, I've gained a sense of appreciation for how important the staff is to the flow of the day. When I say there was not a single glitch in the day, I mean it. David could not have been more amazing ensuring from guest arrival to the final dance that the event stayed organized and on track. The venue itself could not be more stunning with the large windows and natural light. Our guests were so complementary of the venue and set up. I recently had my wedding at North Garden Theater and could not have been happier. This was such a gem to find. Ryan and Tina were amazing to work with, so responsive and helpful. You can tell they really care about making sure your event goes perfectly. Tables, chairs and linens came with the rental, which most places do not do. We got to customize the lighting, the dance party lighting (which is extensive with fog machine!), and the entire layout. They have a bar onsite and the cocktails were great! They were able to serve our guests very quickly. We used multiple Spotify playlists for our music and Ryan was on point switching between them at the right times. The facilities were amazing too; large dressing room to get ready, and nice big bathrooms that they continually cleaned throughout the night. They are also big on reducing waste so we were able to use all compostable cups, which we also had our caterer use all compostable plates and silverware. I really do not have enough great things to say about Ryan, Tina and NGT; they made such a magical day for us!!!

After touring multiple venues in Minneapolis, the Lumber Exchange was the perfect choice for us. Without knowing exactly what our "dream wedding" would look like, the team at the Lumber Exchange guided us through planning in a way that organically created the PERFECT day and night for our wedding. The venue's new chef, Ali, was so incredible and worked with us to make a few changes to an already-DELICIOUS menu (we asked for a lighter sauce to go with the salmon) and the guests said all night that it was some of the best wedding food they've ever had! The parking ramp attached to the venue was great for guests to easily access an otherwise-intimidating downtown excursion! The bridal and groom's suites were both beautifully maintained and secure for the day and evening making it so comfortable to get ready and celebrate! Also, between the parking ramp rooftop, the stunning staircase and light shining in from downtown through the massive windows in the Dylan Room, the venue provided so many amazing photo opportunities. We were so at ease for the entire process, and we would recommend this space to anyone looking for a classy venue that is SO well-run, all of the typical stressors one might encounter in planning a wedding are completely taken care of. A special thanks to Hannah Fox who was our assigned (included in the cost of the rental) coordinator and Shannon who was the manager of the building for both our rehearsal and the entire wedding day. They were a dream team one can only........dream of! Attention to detail, charming personalities and complete support of all ideas we had!

The Hotel Ivy, A Luxury Collection Hotel in Minneapolis was an absolute dream hotel for our wedding party. From the moment we started planning, the staff were clear, attentive, and available to help with every detail. They even rented out their unique masa and agave for our private event, and we were able to stay in their newly renovated penthouse suite which was so classy and luxurious. The on-site spa was also a wonderful perk for our wedding party. Throughout the weekend, the Hotel Ivy team provided thoughtful touches like welcome bags, beautiful flower arrangements, and a coffee service that went above and beyond. I can't say enough great things about Wicked Wort. When we got engaged, we didn't give our venue a second thought. The inside of the brewery is so cool and unique, it made for some amazing photos. The day of, I didn't have to think about anything, they were all so great at taking care of what needed to be done. The best thing about having our wedding here? It was working with family. There wasn't a bunch of people running around who we didn't know- it was the same faces we had met with and planned with. Steve and Tracy are about the best business owners/runners, and having their family involved makes it even cooler. I look back on our photos and think about they day with so much joy- the pictures are as unique as the day was- and that's how it should be :) We wouldn't have changed a thing of how our big day went- and I will keep recommending Wicked Wort forever.
