Bonjour, I’m Kait., Founder + Florist of French Girl Florals. We are a floral design studio in San Diego, Ca., but our story starts in France. I was born in a suburb of Paris and in the summer, my family would vacation in Antibes. When I was young, my Grandmother, “Mamie Genevieve” would have me help around the house by creating arrangements with flowers from our garden. She believed flowers had the power to transform a space, cultivate an ambiance and encourage us to linger over dinner and enjoy one another. Those summer chores were my earliest interactions with floral design and though seasons change, I still hold onto those garden roots.

I am a sustainable florist, and I work with 100% locally grown blooms, most of which are grown in my front yard cutting garden. I welcome couples who love nature and sustainability, who don’t shy away from surprises, and who want to know their flowers from seed, to stem, to ceremony.

A.H.R. florals is the love child of Arturo H. Ramirez, born & raised San Diegan and lifelong creator. Growing up picking massive french hydrangea from his Tita's garden and pretending to walk down the aisle wasn't for nothing. With a background in fashion design and a career in creative direction, Arturo was led to his own venture in floral design. What started as a helping hand for family weddings and parties turned into a passion that led to full floral installations and event design.
