When we had to postpone our May 2020 wedding because of Covid, and then changed our August 2020 rescheduled wedding to more of an elopement with 17 people, he was really flexible and supportive and and just wanted to help in whatever way he could. Our wedding weekend turned out to be a little extra stressful and he was calm and professional the entire time. The timing and edits of the music all turned out perfectly and he does an awesome job as the Master of Ceremonies. After years of performing in the pulsing cities of Philadelphia and New York, Liat moved to Colorado, where she drew inspiration from the folk music of the mountains. Her music evokes her itinerant life and Israeli-American heritage— 90s’ pop-rock meets 60s’ folk with glints of Middle Eastern desert soundscapes. She spins guitar acoustics with her powerhouse vocals for lyrical “dark folk” sounds that linger long after a performance.

She learned our song while truly making it her own. Even though it was Radiohead and kind of emo it was special to us. After years working at a luxury entertainment design company in NYC, I noticed a void in live music, one where planners saw music as the background to the main event rather than something that can guide and elevate it. The bands weren’t listening to the room. We should make deliberate music choices based on the people in it, reacting to them. Not the other way around. My desire to create this harmony sparked the founding of Honey+Vinyl in 2013. Ten years in the industry, she began to dive deeper into the science of sound; how lighting, décor, food and timing interact with music, which drove her to establish the Sonic Sommelier™ service.
