We absolutely loved having our day at Geronimo Oaks. Jacy, Ali and the rest of the team were absolutely amazing. From the very first meeting, Jacy put us at ease and we knew right then that the Creeks was the venue for us. It was very affordable, management was extremely warm and professional and the venue itself was just an absolute dream. One of the things I liked the most was the ability to go and visit the venue throughout the year. We got to show our families the space beforehand, I took my bridals there and we could visit any other time just to dream up our own day. I 10000% recommend Geronimo Oaks to any couple. It was so worth it and it will remain a special place for both me and my husband for the rest of our lives.

Harper Hill Ranch was everything we dreamed of and more! This venue truly surpassed our vision and was perfect in every single way. From the very beginning, Amy and Marine made the entire planning process seamless and easy — their experience and attention to detail gave us total peace of mind. I can honestly say I had zero stress leading up to the wedding and on the big day itself. The property is absolutely stunning and immaculately maintained. Every corner of the ranch has charm and character, creating the most beautiful backdrop for our celebration. One of the most special parts was having our entire bridal party stay with us on the property — it made the weekend even more memorable and meaningful. If you’re considering Harper Hill Ranch, do it! My wife and I wanted to do a cheap wedding in the park but restrictions kept piling on, no glass containers, no open flames, no noise above a certain decibel. So in less than three weeks we had to find a new venue. It was well worth the money. There are a lot of other venues in the area but neither of us wanted to get married in a Barn. The venue is on the smaller side, but that's exactly what we needed for our small wedding. Our guests loved this venue. We kept getting compliments about how nice it was. You kinda of have to see it in person for yourself to get a feel for how modern and sophisticated it is. You can really tell the owner spared no expense. The host told me that ours was the first wedding at this venue. There was some minor miscommunication that added some stress to the planning stages, but the Day Of can only be described as perfect. It was the happiest day of my life. We had so much fun and so did our guests.

Texas Rock House is a labor of love. My grandparents built the house and barns in the 1940's as a working farm for their family. My mother was the youngest of seven children that grew up here. I grew up almost across the street with my mom (Joyce), daddy (Buddy), and brother (Larry). Larry and I spent almost every Friday night here - listening to his records on Grandma's old record player or sitting on the back porch swing counting the number of cars on the trains as they passed by. Whether you are looking for a memorable barn wedding venue for your special day, a unique event space for your corporate meeting, or a beautiful place to celebrate one of life's special moments, the Texas Rock House is the place to be! I (and my family) have had many wonderful memories in this place - and hope you do too!

Why you'll love this venue

  • Lush gardens

  • Has a dance floor for celebration

Venue considerations

  • No all-inclusive dining options

We had our wedding at Texas Rock House and it was absolutely perfect! The venue is gorgeous with its rustic charm and spacious layout. Throughout the planning process, Erin and her staff were extremely helpful, communicative, and available to answer any questions we had. They were positive, hardworking, organized, and so reliable - I trusted them completely to help our big day run smoothly. The venue was decorated beautifully and every detail was perfect. Texas Rock House was the ideal setting for our wedding and truly made our day special. I cannot recommend this venue highly enough!

About wedding venues in Smiley, TX

Why Is Texas an Exceptional Wedding Destination?

Texas offers an incredible variety of wedding settings across its diverse landscapes. You'll find everything from romantic Hill Country vineyards to stunning Gulf Coast waterfronts that provide perfect backdrops for your special day. The state is home to countless venues that showcase authentic Texas character while still matching your personal style. Think rustic barns where longhorn cattle graze nearby or sophisticated urban venues with dramatic city skyline views that'll impress your guests. Many Texas venues incorporate unique regional touches you won't find elsewhere; live country music that gets everyone dancing, mouthwatering BBQ stations and custom boot favors that celebrate local heritage. Whether you're planning an intimate gathering or a grand celebration, you'll find Texas venues ready to accommodate your vision.

What's the Average Cost of Wedding Venues in Texas?

Wedding venues in Texas typically cost between $3,000 and $30,000+ depending on what you're looking for. The national average runs about $6,500-$12,000 which represents roughly 25% of your total wedding budget. Your overall wedding costs will depend largely on how many people you're inviting to share your special day:

Guest CountAverage Total Wedding Budget
50 guests$19,410
100 guests$32,365
150 guests$44,545
200 guests$55,433
250 guests$66,322
300 guests$77,211
In Texas specifically, venues typically account for about 16% of your total wedding budget with couples spending an average of $6,932. This gives you plenty of room in your budget to customize other elements of your celebration that matter most to you and your partner.

Which Wedding Venue Types Are Most Popular in Texas?

Texas venues offer distinctly regional experiences that capture the state's diverse character. Hill Country locations around Fredericksburg give you gorgeous vineyard settings with beautiful limestone architecture and sunset views that will take your breath away. If you're considering Houston, you'll find venues that thoughtfully incorporate bayou landscapes alongside sophisticated cosmopolitan amenities. Dallas spaces tend to showcase luxury urban environments with elegant design elements that create a refined atmosphere. Fort Worth venues perfectly blend Western heritage with modern conveniences for a uniquely Texan experience. November emerges as the most popular month for venue inquiries across the state, so you might want to plan accordingly if you're interested in this popular time frame.

How Far in Advance Should You Book Your Texas Venue?

Texas couples typically book their wedding venues about 16 months (or 457 days) before their wedding date. November stands out as the most popular month for venue inquiries so planning early is essential if you're considering this timeframe. This advanced booking timeline helps you secure your preferred date since popular venues often fill their calendars far in advance especially for prime weekend dates. Booking early also allows you to lock in current pricing before annual increases that many venues implement. Plus you'll have more time to work with venue coordinators to customize floor plans and discuss details that will make your celebration uniquely yours.

Where Can You Find Accessible Wedding Venues in Texas?

Madera Estates in Conroe stands out for its commitment to accessibility with fully paved event spaces that accommodate wheelchair navigation throughout the property. You can host up to 330 guests here and the venue is frequently praised for physically walking through accessibility needs during the planning process. You'll also find excellent accessible options at Jennings Trace near Houston which offers single-level celebration spaces. Hummingbird Hill Weddings in Chappell Hill prioritizes inclusive design throughout their venue and The Preserve at Canyon Lake features wheelchair-friendly pathways connecting all major celebration areas. These venues ensure all your guests can fully participate in your special day regardless of mobility considerations.

Which Texas Wedding Venues Offer Outstanding Culinary Experiences?

The Bell Tower on 34th in Houston delivers exceptional dining experiences under Executive Chef Sergio Arellano. His international culinary team creates gourmet meals on-site that will impress even your most food-savvy guests.
