Pocono Palms is a wedding and event venue located in Canadensis, PA, owned by two sisters. A former church, originally built in 1912, Pocono Palms is currently nearing the end of extensive renovations that began in the summer of 2019. Pocono Palms combines the rustic charm of the Pocono Mountains with lush greenery and modern lines, to create a memorable and unique oasis for couples looking for something different. The venue features a large outdoor garden, ceremony site and altar, and cocktail area. The building dates back to 1837, a three-level structure which was built by William Nelson. Peekskill lawyer, Congressman, and friend to Abraham Lincoln. A small stage, built on the 3rd floor in 1870, was identified as the “Dramatic Hall.” This emblematic building had been abandoned for about 20 years and fallen into disrepair until 2012, a complete renovation took place restoring the 1870-era theater. The Dramatic Hall serves as a space to host weddings, private parties, plays, live music performances, and more.
