Fireweed Meadows Venue: A Hidden Gem in the Heart of Nature The venue’s setting is simply stunning. With a majestic mountain backdrop and peaceful meadow, it created a picturesque atmosphere for our ceremony and photos. The open grass field was perfect for yard games, keeping both kids and adults entertained throughout the day. And just minutes away, the beautiful Fish Creek offered another unforgettable photo opportunity. The secluded location provided a personal and tranquil environment, making our day feel spectacular. After touring several venues, we were searching for a place that not only matched our vision but also fit within our budget. While each had its charms, none could compare to the unique offerings of Fireweed Meadows Venue. What sets this venue apart is it provides all the tables and chairs needed, eliminating the stress of rentals, the hassle of setup/takedown and the dreaded return deadline and possible added late fee. The private Bridal and Groom Suites boast their own bathrooms, offering a private space to get ready. Including a personal retreat for the couple amidst the festivities to catch their breath. A minor regret, looking back, is not opting for a larger package to extend our stay by an extra day or two. The day passed by so quickly, and having more time to relax and savor our special moments would have been wonderful. In summary, Fireweed Meadows Venue provided us with the private, serene, and enchanting wedding experience we dreamed of. If you're seeking a venue that combines natural beauty with practical, thoughtful amenities, we wholeheartedly recommend it! Yours truly, Mr. & Mrs. Poteet June 3rd, 2025

Arctic Valley is a non-profit ski area in the Chugach mountains just outside Anchorage. We offer most of the necessities as part of our packages, including tables, chairs, arch/arbor, dance floor, sound system, bar areas, and a bunch of table & room decorations. Venue considerations

  • Does not provide event staff

We found Arctic Valley Ski Lodge through a recommendation from my boss who is part of the ski team that frequents there. I went in thinking "we'll just check it out", but I was absolutely blown away. The venue is BEAUTIFUL, and had everything we needed and more. John was incredibly kind and helpful, he responded quickly any time we had the smallest of questions for him and the process was simple and easy to reserve our wedding day. They even have a package where they will do the ENTIRE DECORATING AND TAKE DOWN PROCESS FOR YOU. That took SO much pressure off of us. They sent us a brochure of all the decor they had available but we weren't picky and just told them 'make it pretty'. They delivered! The venue was gorgeous, the chairlift was AWESOME - they even kept it running longer than our contract stated so they could make sure everyone had a turn. They truly helped turn the wedding of our dreams into a reality. I remember my brother was really stressing me out at one point and one of the people working the chairlift (I can't remember her name right now unfortunately) told me "Just breathe, this is your day and they will wait for you". She was so kind and helped me to remember that stressing would help nothing and I should just sit back and enjoy the day. The next day when we came back to grab all the gear and anything we might have missed, they had boxed everything up for us, they had even taken down the photobooth! I could not recommend this venue enough, I truly had the best wedding I could have ever hoped for and a huge reason was because of these guys. They made it so fun and so easy. The ONLY thing I would say that is not so great is that I would highly recommend for the ladies to get ready before heading over, there wasn't a great amount of mirrors or plug-ins for hair and makeup in the dressing room. Otherwise? It was PERFECT and more than worth the money spent.
