From the second we met Mandy and Greg (the owners) and then toured the property, we were hooked. They are so experienced in the wedding industry and made our vision of our big day a reality. \nOne of the best parts of our wedding weekend was the all-inclusive nature of the property. We got access starting Friday and had the venue all the way until Sunday. This allowed us to bring our decorations and start setup without last minute stress. The night before we had our ceremony rehearsal and then held a bonfire for our guests. \nThe morning of we used their onsite cabins to get ready, and then took some of the most breathtaking photos. You can tell just how much thought that they put into making the landscape beautiful, with endless flowers. \nOur guests had a wonderful experience as well, with attendants for parking and constant friendly faces directing them where to go. The site for the ceremony is just a short walk from where you park and is right on the river…. gorgeous. \nOur other vendors were able to communicate easily with the venue owners and it allowed for our day to go by stress-free. Day of coordination is included and truly made the experience. We met with Mandy and Greg multiple times during the planning process and it allowed us to put full faith in them. \nThe venue is spacious which is ideal for a variety of different vendors, allowing for personalization of your day without fear that things won’t fit. \nMeeting Mandy and Greg was fate, and led to our day being more than we ever could have imagined. We cannot thank them enough for taking our vision and making it a reality! Any extra things we wanted for the wedding or reception just needed to be dropped off and the event coordinators took care of the rest. The coordinator we met with was great with communication through email. We really enjoyed our dinner tasting - the food was amazing! The coordinators made the day run so smoothly. The room for the cocktail hour was set up wonderfully. Table settings are included with the package and the candles looked perfect. We felt secure in knowing we could easily move the ceremony inside with any weather concerns. The landscaping/greenery is so well taken care of, it looked fantastic for our ceremony outside on the patio. The hotel staff set up, serve, and clean up - it made for a very relaxing weekend. Our hotel room was incredible also. The hotel was generous with leaving little surprises and gifts for us when we arrived to our room. Literally a beautiful classic venue with such potential to make any brides dream come true. We rented the entire hotel for our reception all 19 rooms and it was perfect for our guests. The bridal suite room is beautiful with a whirlpool tub and was perfect for my wedding party to get ready for the ceremony in. Our ceremony was elsewhere but I could see someone have everything right at the Sherwood and it being completely beautiful. Greg was absolutely wonderful to work with. There are 2 venues to choose from a formal venue room on the 1st floor and a basement bar venue which we rocked and danced our reception into the early morning hours. The photos are to die for trust me!! Allie and Kurt are gems and helped make our wedding so very special. From the beautiful property to the fun yard games, gorgeous renovated barn and hayloft to the lovely overnight we spent at the B&B, it was an occasion we'll never forget. The space is flexible to have a ceremony indoors or out, space for live music, ample dance floor real estate, and the loft can be set up in different configurations for whatever suits the event.\n\nAllie used flowers from the property to adorn the tables while Kurt managed catering deliveries, and they were amazing with set-up, tear-down, welcoming guests, and so much more. Allie communicated with us clearly about making sure we had the proper paperwork filed for having beer and wine on-site, and details for making things run smoothly on the day-of.\n\nWe booked a night at the B&B which was so fabulous - they've renovated the farm house with such charm and character, many things being up-cycled - and breakfast we had the next morning (with ingredients from the farm!) was scrumptious.
