She was so organized, and helped our day go super smooth. She provided questionnaires for us to make sure we were on the same page, and knew our values. We met a week before the wedding to go over details, and prepare for the big day which made us get super excited for everything too! My husband and I were a little nervous being the center of attention and in front of the camera the entire day, but she made us feel so comfortable and natural! She was familiar with our Church, and took the extra step to go to our venue prior to the wedding to familiarize herself with that setting as well! “Liza photographed our small intimate wedding. From the outset, she set out to make sure the day went smoothly and that we would get the best pictures possible on our special day. We explained to her that our wedding would consist of a very short ceremony and a dinner. The rest of the night would be some games and hanging out, but no dancing. Our original vision was to have her photograph the ceremony, group shots, and the dinner and skip couple portraits. After consulting with her, she recommended skipping the dinner photos (nobody looks good while eating) and photographing the ceremony, group shots, and, since our package left us with a remaining hour, plan for couple portraits before our ceremony. “We had such a great time working with Ben for our engagement photos and it only solidified how awesome it would be for our wedding the following autumn. He was flexible and professional, made sure we were comfortable, and thoroughly explained everything so we knew what to expect from our final photos. Speaking of which, they came in 3 days! We were happy to wait the full two-week period for engagement photos, but getting them sooner blew us away. Our wedding experience was somehow even better—Ben and his second shooter were so fun and added such a good vibe to the already amazing day. “We just received our photos back from our wedding about a month ago, and we were blown away. We had a feeling the photos would be wonderful because of how professional and attentive our photographer (Athel) was, but of course there is always still that suspense. The team at Indigo and Ivory was wonderful throughout the entire process, always communicative, and it felt like they really cared. Athel even drove a good distance to attend an open house with us at our venue, to get some ideas ahead of time around what settings would be best. He was lovely throughout the whole event, super accommodating of our special requests, and captured all the most important moments. We cannot recommend them enough, the images came out amazing and we are getting tons of compliments! If there is anything I would do differently (and this is not any knock on Indigo and Ivory, this is just general advice for anyone looking to hire any photographer), I probably would have went ahead and added a second photographer for the day (which is something they offer). I wanted to cut costs a bit so we didn't go for it - but of course if you have two you will make sure to get all the different angles you are hoping for and then each person can spend a bit more time with both wedding parties to capture more of those candid moments. I also wish I had made sure to put together a better list of shots that I wanted - once again, these are items that I recommend in general and has nothing to do with Indigo and Ivory. If there are certain things you want your photographer to capture, make sure to write them down and communicate! With all that being said, even if you go with just one photographer and you happen to forget to write down all the specific moments or you just want things to be more free-flow - I 100% recommend Indigo and Ivory for you! They are wonderful and I'm so happy we have these gorgeous images to treasure for years to come.”

Hey, I’m Lindsay! I first picked up a DSLR camera in 2009 as a Sophomore in high school, I was so naturally drawn to photography from the very beginning, and that desire to continue something that I was passionate about propelled me into attending and graduating from the New Hampshire Institute of Art in 2015 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Photography and Printmaking. Born and raised in New England, I now reside in Goffstown,NH + when I'm not out and about with my camera, I can be found spending time outdoors, reading a good historical fiction book + spending quality time hanging out with my husband, our two daughters, pup and cats!
