I began my photo career in the commercial world. I photographed for many ad agencies, fashion clients and magazines. When I segued into the wedding world, I brought that style of fashion photography and lighting with me.

I truly feel that relationships are key to excellent photos. My clients become my friends, leading up to, during, and after their weddings. I don't ever want to work with a couple that refers to me as their photographer. I want them to drop the formal vendor/client wall. I'm just John and we are gonna have fun. I promise.

The Best Decision We Made for Our Wedding

I was hesitant to book anyone for our wedding photography at first — it wasn’t personal, I just felt unsure and overwhelmed by the whole process. But John Barone completely changed that. He followed up thoughtfully over email and offered to set up a call. From the moment we started talking, I felt like I was catching up with an old friend. He was clearly the most capable person I had spoken to, and by the end of the call, I was completely sold on him and his team. I had my heart set on a documentary-style photographer, and I was especially drawn to Stuart’s work. I followed his portfolio online and was continually impressed with every post. Leading up to the wedding, John was more of a help than he probably realizes. He took the reins on scheduling the entire day — something that should’ve been in my wheelhouse (I’m a planner and a project manager by day), but somehow felt incredibly daunting. John made it easy and even encouraged me to book extra time with our venue. Thank god he did. Every bit of advice he gave was spot on, from how much time we needed for getting ready, to first look, to portraits. The guy knows what he’s doing — he’s a true professional and I only wish I listened to him sooner. On the day of, Stuart and Denida were top tier. They arrived right on time, were exceptionally kind, and made both me and my husband feel completely comfortable. They worked seamlessly and quietly, doing things behind the scenes that I didn’t even notice in the moment — because they never wanted me to stress. My family and friends were absolutely obsessed with both of them. They were not only professional, but also hilarious and engaging — somehow making noises I didn’t even know were humanly possible to get the attention of my 10-month-old twin nephews! I would book this team again in a heartbeat and will recommend them to everyone I know. There was truly nothing more they could have done to make our day more perfect — because they already did it all. When I received our photos from John, everything was communicated clearly and on time. I never once had to worry, and the results? Absolutely exceeded every expectation. The photos are spectacular, beautifully edited, and exactly what I had dreamed of. If you’re on the fence — this is your sign. Book John and his team. You won’t regret it.

John was amazing to work with. His long standing experience in the wedding industry helped guide us, especially when we weren’t sure of what to do next. Even though we were out of state, John’s responsiveness and willingness to work with us showed us we were a priority. He was receptive to our photography vision, and always had recommendations that helped us get to the finish line. John’s colleagues were also great to work with. We highly recommend John not only because of his talent and artistry, but because he really listened to us and helped us capture some truly beautiful memories.

John is the best! We couldn't have been happier with our decision to pick John to photograph our wedding day. Not only is he an immensely talented photographer, but he is just a great guy who puts you right at-ease. We are particularly glad that we did an engagement shoot with John. We got great pictures out of it, and became much more comfortable with him and the photoshoot process. Hiring John was one of our very best decisions and we highly recommend him!

We are so glad we worked with John for our wedding photos! He was great at communicating before and after the event and even helped us work out some details about the schedule. We really appreciate how flexible he was as we didn’t do a lot of the traditional wedding things. John captured our day perfectly. His unique vision really elevated our portraits, and he got several great candid shots. We are obsessed with how all our photos came out, it’s honestly hard to choose a favorite. He is also really easy to get along with and made the day actually fun despite all the usual stress that weddings bring. We would highly recommend booking John for wedding photos!
