Aisle + Daisy

Lead Planner

When it comes to planning and floral design, I don’t do many traditional “black-and-white” weddings - I’m all about bold, colorful, and whimsically organic celebrations that scream you. If you're looking for an event that’s as unique as your love story, with a side of fun and a dash of the unexpected, then we’ll be a perfect match. My job is to help bring your vision to life whether that’s with helping you plan your dream wedding or curating the perfect floral arrangements and installations. You’re the ones calling the shots, but I’ll be here to offer creative ideas that get you thinking outside the box, but every decision is yours to make.

Throughout your day, I’ll be here making sure you feel fully supported, understood, and celebrated. That means finding vendors who share your values, making sure I’m pronouncing every name correctly, and taking the time to learn about your culture or traditions. It’s all about making sure your big day feels 100% true to who you are. After all, this is YOUR party, and I’m here to make sure it’s unforgettable.

We hired Kayla to be our day of coordinator/planner to assist with the set up of decor and rental items and ensure the day ran smoothly. The months leading up to the wedding day Kayla was on top of everything. Unfortunately on the day of the wedding I felt a little let down by her services and overall was not impressed with the execution. I spent a lot of time prior to the wedding getting all decor items into boxes labeled and with pictures of where items were going and how they should be set up. During our last meeting she was clear that she doesn’t usually like to work with volunteers who want to help set up decor, totally fine we listed and let her take charge of who can help where. The day of the wedding comes and both the ceremony space and cocktail hour were not set up by her or her assistant, it was close friends and family who did that. Kayla asked us leading up to the wedding what were any stressors that we had for the day and the only main one we had were things we wanted brought down from cocktail hour to the reception to help entertain guests. That never happened. We were promised champagne for toasting during signing our marriage license, never happened. I never saw Kayla until about 20 minutes before walking down the aisle. She moved at a slow pace and in all honestly I felt she took advantage of our money. She cared more about her vendors meal and getting her break than I feel like she did for things to be set up accordingly and on time. If it wasn’t for my close family members and friends the venue would not have been ready for guests when they arrived. I would not recommend her services to anyone.

Hi Amy, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. I’m genuinely sorry to hear you felt disappointed on your wedding day. Your experience matters deeply to me, and I’ll admit this review came as a surprise—everything ran on time and according to the plan we confirmed together, everything was setup and ready for crucial transitions, and received praise and thanks concluding your event. I know that how things felt is just as important as what occurred, and I want to acknowledge that your perception matters while offering nuances to the situations you describe in your review. This work often involves real-time decisions and adapting to circumstances that aren’t always visible to others. I understand that there’s disagreement around how some of those decisions around setup were handled, and while that’s disappointing to hear, I want to be clear that everything was done with care and professionalism. On the day of the wedding, I was repeatedly pulled into conversations and questions from several family members who were trying to oversee the setup—something I outline in my contract as a factor that can impact the day. While I always aim to be collaborative and respectful of those wanting to help, the level of involvement from guests outside of the agreed-upon helpers pulled focus from my responsibilities and led to repeated explanations of my process. In a few cases, items were taken directly from my assistant without notice, which made it challenging to ensure everything was set according to the agreed-upon plan. Despite multiple efforts to communicate, some of those boundaries weren’t respected. However, I do want to sincerely apologize for the missed champagne for signing and the items that were meant to be transitioned from cocktail hour to the reception. This was not due to neglect in the slightest—shortly after the ceremony processional, I was managing a medical emergency due to the heat and came dangerously close to passing out. I chose to handle it quietly to avoid disruption and resumed my duties once stable, though I recognize it affected small details. While my health and symptoms have never stopped me from doing my job, any perception of “moving slowly” or being less present may have stemmed from this ongoing scare—though it was never my intention to appear disengaged during such a significant day. Regarding vendor meals, it's important to clarify that structured breaks are standard practice in the wedding industry and are outlined clearly in my contract. I always enforce dedicated break time for every vendor working 6–12+ to protect their health and performance. It’s something I take seriously and advocate for with good reason, and I don’t believe stepping away for a necessary meal reflects a lack of care or effort. Lastly, I want to be clear: I did not, at any point, take advantage of your investment. I take pride in offering honest, transparent service, and I stand by the work performed, recommendations provided, and hours committed to providing an organized wedding day. It seems my style or priorities didn’t align with yours, I respect that—but it’s not a reflection of dishonesty, disregard, disinterest, and lack of value. I recognize that I probably wasn't the right planner or personality for you, and I accept that with sincerity. I truly wish you and Jared nothing but the best moving forward.

I hired Kayla to help me with month-of and day-of wedding coordination, and it was one of the best decisions I made while wedding planning. Kayla was so helpful in answering questions throughout the process (even responding to emails before her month-of commitment had begun) and she had so many ideas about how to make our wedding unique and incorporate personal touches into the day. She was a literal LIFE-SAVER, particularly in the weeks leading up to the wedding where I was completely overwhelmed. She took over vendor communications and immediately checked everything off the list that needed to be checked off. I was (and am) so grateful for the stress she relieved, especially in the crunch time! On the day of the wedding, she fixed every little problem that came up and handled it with absolute grace. She got everything done behind the scenes and allowed me and my husband (as well as our families) to just enjoy the day. I would completely and totally recommend hiring her for your wedding!

Aisle Daisy (formerly KJ Coordination) was a dream to work with for our wedding in 2024. From the very beginning, Kayla's communication was quick, easy, and highly informative unlike some coordinators we came across. She made wedding day logistics so easy with simple questionnaires that she turned info a beautiful, informational timeline and logistic packet that blew our vendors away. On the day of, her team went above and beyond to set everything up with absolute precision and efficiency and the end result was truly gorgeous. In addition to planning services, she also provided at-cost floral design that helped ensure our special day was customized to our style. We couldn't have asked for a better planner and florist, and we highly recommend Aisle Daisy to any couple planning their wedding!

You need a wedding coordinator, the return on your investment is 100 fold. Kayla and her team worked magic for us at our wedding. Not to mention, her pre-wedding process and checklists, those were incredibly helpful in making sure we considered all of the details that make up a wedding. I love planning parties for family and friends and the detail that goes into them but nothing can prepare you for the details of a wedding, but a wedding coordinator who really knows her stuff and always keeps her cool is 100% what you need for your special day. I would recommend Kayla to any bride at any stage of wedding planning.
