Wedding Cinematography

We are painters when it comes to film. We enjoy creating love stories that poke at the heart of emotion. There’s an art to visually piecing a love story together. We have a strong eye for detail, and focus on really diving into a couples love and expressing their emotion for one another through our lens.

What sets us apart is detail. We are more than just a “pick up the camera and press record” kind of business. We love to know who we're capturing, the ins and outs and showcase love and art into a frame of viewing. We focus on the missing parts that most people won’t capture. Turning the sounds of nature, laughter and love into works of art.

    John and his team were wonderful to work with! They seamlessly integrated into our day, assisting with guiding the timeline that they also helped us put together. Their professionalism and communication was incredible. Our videos turned put beyond beautiful and we are so happy to have these memories immortalized on film. John made our wedding into a dreamy movie, with exceptional storytelling, capturing the day while also capturing intimate moments we will cherish forever.

    I truly cannot put into words how amazing our entire experience was from start to finish. We found John and Avec L'Amour through our photographer, Heather Soucy. She told me that her family even used John for her brother's wedding because of everyone she has worked with, she trusted him to document their special day in the best way. That spoke volumes to me. When I say these two are a 'dream team' I am not kidding. As someone who had never been professionally photographed or video'd before, I was really nervous about looking and feeling awkward. John made my husband, Mike, and me feel SO comfortable throughout the whole day. It was so cool seeing these two incredibly creative minds feeding off each other to get the best possible shot. It was a little rainy on our day and they actually took video/photos of us inside a puddle reflection--I mean who thinks of that?! We were running a little late to the reception when our portraits were supposed to be taken and John knew we didn't want to miss too much of cocktail hour. We were able to get the most beautiful shots in just 30 minutes, including drone, which was super important to us. The Avec L'Amour team got absolutely stunning video without us feeling like we had cameras in our faces all night. We booked John for the 8-hour package, but realized we were not going to be able to get the bouquet toss or cake cutting in that time frame. NO worries!! John offered to stay an extra hour to capture the remainder of the evening. Now for the deliverables: we got our first teaser video back within 3 weeks of our day and I was absolutely blown away. We received the full gallery which included a 1 minute teaser, 3 minute trailer, and the full 1.5 hour long event not even a MONTH after our wedding day. It was just like watching a move of all our favorite people and he captured the day so perfectly. I cannot say enough: RUN, don't walk to book John and Avec L'Amour for your special day!! Worth every penny. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

    Avec Lamour! I cannot say enough about the services that are executed. Avec Lamour captured our wedding day recently this past October, 2023. The videos were so beautiful it was all my wife and I could ever hope for. We had the pleasure of working closely with John Hill (owner of Avec Lamour) a talented cinematographer. When searching for a videographer I personally knew that I did want my wedding day to be captured and documented much differently than the usual wedding videos seen today. Although beautiful, my wife and I agreed to have more of a cinematic approach. We shortly came across John Hill, a wonderful cinematographer with the skills to capture the happiest day of our lives and turn it into cinematic art. A love story that captures all viewers attention and one my wife and I will cherish forever. Our overall experience working with John was exceptional! Heidi is a very cool down to earth guy that really gets your vision. John is timely in responses and the delivery of the finalized product took only just a short few weeks we were so thrilled! We highly recommend Avec Lamour to capture your special day especially if you are wanting a cinematic experience!!
