We had a special request for a unique entrance into our reception, and Dan completely nailed it. He went above and beyond to make it exactly how we imagined, and it turned out even better than we hoped. On top of that, we asked if he could include last names during the wedding party introductions—something he doesn’t normally do—and he took the time to learn and pronounce every single name correctly. That level of care and attention meant so much to us. He also made a real effort to connect with all of our guests and made sure everyone was well taken care of throughout the night. While my husband and I were off taking sunset photos, Dan got us plates of food and even kept them warm—something we hadn’t thought about, but he did without hesitation. Dan wasn’t just our DJ—he was a huge part of what made our day so special. “There is no better DJ than DJ Martin. He had us fill out a questionnaire that helped guide us through planning our entire wedding day and ultimately the absolute BEST PARTY ever! I have never seen so many people on a dance floor as I did at our wedding reception. Instead of a head table, we put the DJ façade on the stage where the head tables would have been so that he was the center of attention. Ultimately, it was the best decision. He was able to be close to the dance floor, feel the crowd, and have a good time. He also listened to us on our music choices and guided us on things we were unsure of. “Our wedding at the Forest Park Golf Club was absolutely outstanding! Lexi was stellar helping us when we first visited, learning about the different package options, and finding out that we could make the dream of having our wedding reception in Forest Park come true! Maddie did more than we could ever have hoped for as our coordinator, helping us with decorating ideas, arranging all of the details, and getting everything set up perfectly on the day of the reception. We made some additions the week of the wedding that the club accommodated seamlessly. They made everything as easy as it could have been. Our photographer was in an accident on the wedding day (oh no!) which pushed back the timing of the wedding. We arrived later than planned at the reception. Maddie was waiting outside with golf carts so we could immediately dash away for pictures at the Grand Basin- after she made a quick dash into the club to bring out some emergency finger nail tools! And the pictures around the Grand Basin: sunset reflecting on the water behind us… so beautiful! And the food! The drinks! The service! Everything was absolutely outstanding. Me and my bride never got our own drinks- the servers were frequently asking us for anything we would like. It truly exceeded the dreams we had of what our Forest Park wedding reception could be!”

“We could not recommend a better DJ for our wedding! We got married April 5, 2024 (so sorry for the delayed review!) and Matt was so helpful from day one of talking with him. We live in FL and he’s in Missouri, where we had our wedding and he was always quick to answer my emails and I never felt like all of my questions were ever bothering him. Matt met with us a few times to go over the songs, lights, expectations, and organization of how the songs fit into the sequence of our special day. He made the process so easy and made himself available to meet in the timeframes that we able to fly home and at a place that was convenient. Since he helped reduce stress in the beginning planning stages and he’s so personable, I knew he would be a great fit for our wedding! And… he was a wonderful DJ! The music was perfect, he didn’t play anything that we didn’t want to hear and everything that everyone loved! We picked out most of the songs we wanted during the evening and he played them without question, plus some perfect fitting songs that the guests would love! We are pretty picky people and Matt did a great job fulfilling the DJ role with our requests and making the night just absolutely lovely!!! There were no instances of equipment/technology failure, which is always a plus, he showed up early to set up and his pricing was better than other quotes I received. His voice was clear and professional, appearance was wedding appropriate, and execution of his DJ skills to make our night magical filled with great music and dancing was fantastic!!! “I cannot say enough amazing things about Rachel! She was an absolute dream to work with! She was so warm and fun, a great listener, and a true professional. Rachel absolutely knocked it out of the park!! As a DOC: We didn't need much in terms of coordinating a lot of moving parts for our day and we already booked all our vendors and had our planning essentially done. We just wanted someone to take care of the set up/tear down at the venue and be the main point of contact for the vendors that wasn't me (the bride) as well as make sure everything was running on schedule on the wedding day. We had out first meeting with Rachel about two months before the wedding and she took us through a very thorough check list of all the things that she would need to take care of and what the day would look like. Once we passed on all the vendor info and planning details to Rachel, the stress of the big day eased up so much! We felt like we were in such great hands with Rachel the whole time leading up to the wedding day. On the actual big day, she took charge of all the set up with the venue, catering, photobooth, decor, cake, and florist. She made sure I didn't have to think about anything leading up to the ceremony and throughout the reception. Afterwards, she packed up all the flowers, decor, and anything else that we needed to take home while my husband and I talked to guests at the end of the reception so by the time we were done, everything was ready to go for us. So if you are maybe considering tacking on her DOC services, DO IT! As a DJ: Rachel really knows her stuff when it comes to music! She has so much experience and it definitely showed during our DJ planning meeting with her. She was so open and flexible in what we wanted to do and the certain songs we wanted to be played. She wanted to know the overall atmosphere for each section of the wedding so she could curate the perfect soundtrack for the day. She successfully delivered the main thing I wanted at my wedding - a fun dance floor! She had everyone up on their feet and played all the songs we wanted to hear as well as making sure to play other songs that kept people on the dance floor. We had a lot of guests tell us they really enjoyed our DJ! She will do anything you want, no matter what your music taste is! She was perfect! I will be referring Rachel like crazy to everyone! She was one of the BEST decisions we made during the wedding planning process. Hire her, you will not regret it!”

She even helped zip up my dress and pin in my veil. My favorite part was when we were on golf-carts to the next location and she shouted "STOP! The lighting is beautiful," and she was right - we got some of the best pics from that spot. We had 2 zoom calls with them beforehand and Rachel helped us with our timeline, which was so helpful. She's very responsive with emails and her estimation of 5 weeks to get photos after the wedding was exactly correct. “I cannot say enough good things about our DJ (Jon)! My now husband and I had some concerns regarding some of our family members and we discussed them with Jon prior to the event. Jon respected our wishes and was so professional about everything. He handled things extremely well. We had an issue with the pastor who married us. We had asked the pastor a week or two prior to the wedding if he would at least come by the reception hall to say the blessing at the wedding (He said yes at the time.), and he no-showed. Jon had announced that the pastor would come up and say the blessing, and of course there was radio silence because we quickly realized the pastor wasn’t there. Once we told Jon that he didn’t show up, Jon said a quick blessing and our meal began. We started the dances, and we could not keep people off of the dance floor. Jon kept pace with the crowd so well and everyone had such a blast! What my husband and I didn’t realize at the time was that my husband’s Uncle Joe had a surprise song picked out for us as well as green Irish polo shirts made for all of us (inside joke) and we essentially had a bit of a flash mob at our wedding. Kudos to Jon for going along with his idea! That was so funny and it made our wedding so special. Overall, it was a wonderful evening and I truly hope every couple is blessed with a DJ like Jon. I don’t think he could have done anything better honestly. You will not find a better DJ in the St. Louis / Metro East area! Thanks Jon!”

“New to St. Louis and planning a wedding was a stressful combination. We did not know what vendors to book for our wedding day, or have any family or friends in the area with recommendations, so we went with a company called George Street Photo and Video. Thank God we did, because they put us in touch with Brooke who went above and beyond my wildest dreams!!!! From day one, Brooke was a joy to work with. Neither my husband or I had been in front of a camera before for any type of photoshoot, and we felt awkward and uncomfortable ... for about 2 seconds. Brooke made us laugh, talked us through poses and how to make them look natural, and took a lot of time and care to get to know us. Needless to say, we were thrilled with her work and went into the wedding day feeling calm and confident that she would capture our day perfectly. Between the engagement shoot and the wedding, Brooke was easy to get a hold of via text and email. She is responsive and full of excellent ideas. Rice + Co. Events was founded in March 2022 as Charley Rice Weddings with the vision of bringing intimacy and personality back into weddings. Charley was ordained by the American Marriage Ministries that same month and began performing ceremonies shortly after. In January of 2023, she began accepting coordination clients as well.
