After moving to Beacon, NY around the same time, it made sense to start an official wedding music business to share their love of music with some of the many happy couples getting married in the Hudson Valley. One thing they love about playing music for weddings is the variety that is required of them. Every gig is different and they all happen on one of the happiest days of the clients' lives!

“We used Skylark music for our church ceremony and cocktail hour. We initially booked them pre-pandemic and they were luckily open for our new wedding date and were more than willing to accommodate. Their communication was stellar. I cannot say enough good things about their responsiveness and willing to help. My husband and I had a Catholic ceremony. Jesse was extremely helpful in providing us recommendations and telling us what would work well. On wedding day they showed up on time and played music as our guests were entering the church. They also were able to go to our venue afterwards to play for cocktail hour. As requested, Jesse and Justin played mainly jazz and added some Disney flare per our request. Our guests kept telling us how much they enjoyed listening to Jesse and Justin during cocktail hour and how they added a nice ambiance. Our only regret is that we did not have more time to listen to them on a busy wedding day. I would highly recommend Skylark music for any event. Thank you Jesse and Justin!”

Brick Park really brought the fun, so talented, it was more like a concert than a typical wedding. I would highly recommend getting the DJ to spin songs while the band takes a break. The dance floor was packed for the entire evening. Lauren and Marlon are a dynamite lead-singing duo, and the instrumentalists are each incredibly talented. Justin was very responsive and easy to connect with leading up to the day, and accommodated all of our requests and needs with ease. They were also very helpful with recommendations based on extensive experience, and even allowed the bride's sister to play their keyboard for the ceremony, which was an over-and-above request they did not have to agree to. “In today's world everything is extremely overpriced and service is terrible. My wedding was very stressful for me because of this. I did not have a DJ or a Photographer and honestly was considering just something small scale, until I talked to Ed from DJ Double E. I would give them 10 stars out 5. From the minute I talked to Ed it was a breath of fresh air from the million other outrageously priced DJ's. The price is unbeatable but that's not why I would recommend them. They are absolutely phenomenal and made my entire wedding. The music was perfect from ceremony to the last dance. They were so professional, so involved and so fun. We had a daytime (early) wedding. It is so challenging to get people up and have a good time at 12:30 in the afternoon, I was having meltdowns about it, they reassured me but had the entire place up and having fun. You didn't know if it was day or night. They helped us more than the attendants at the venue. Over 100 guests said how amazing they were. The pictures they took could not be any better. Any other DJ who had packages like this (photo booth etc...) were THOUSANDS, yes THOUSANDS, more!!! I really hate to admit but I'm not easily pleased however I would put my name on the line for DJ Double E after how they made my wedding. DJ Double E exceeded all my and my husband's expectations and -consider yourself lucky if you hire them for any event. I'll be calling them again!!!”

“Mike was a phenomenal DJ! He made our wedding reception even better. We had many zoom calls and emails and he asked us so many different types of questions. Little did we know he was creating our story and he shared it with everyone at our wedding. While he was telling our story, it was as if Tony or I were telling it. It made everyone at the wedding feel like they were a part of it. As we were listening to our story, I could hear myself in what Mike was saying. It just proves that he truly listened to what Tony and I said when we met with him. His music playlist was incredible! Everyone was up and dancing.
