“Olio was the first (and only) wedding venue we toured. Immediately following our tour, my partner and I cancelled all tours/meetings with other venues - we knew that if we were going to have a wedding, it had to be at Olio. “My wife and I got married at the Willowdale Estate in April 2024. The wedding, the staff, and the entire experience was exceptional for the entire Wedding. The beautiful venue, the ethereal vibes, the delicious food, everything was wonderful. Our guest we're talking about wedding (again the food is incredible) for many months after, and still do. Veronica our event coordinator was awesome throughout the planning process and on the day of, and didn't hesitate when we needed to pivot minor things to make the experience seamless. I could go on and on about how amazing the day was, but simply said it's an 11/10 on the scale of being spectacular. I give it my full endorsement.”

“TL;DR - when they say full-service, they mean full-service! Easily the best food and drink we (and most of our guests) have ever had at a wedding. The staff and especially our coordinator, Erica, were highly communicative, accommodating, enthusiastic, and went above and beyond to make our wedding as great as it could have been! Well worth the price! It's worth noting that they were partnered with our venue, Olio Event Space in Peabody, MA, but I have little doubt that they'd do an excellent job just about anywhere else they're willing to go. We had first heard of Vinwood through our venue because they had specific requirements and a list of partnered vendors we more or less had to choose from without a ton of hassle. While this could have easily become a nightmare, nearly all doubt was washed away as soon as we attended a tasting they hosted. We got to experience firsthand how great their food and staff were before getting into the thick of things, and we were able to get a head start on picking entrees, hors d'oeuvres, linens, and chinaware while we were at the tasting. When we had to lock things in, Vinwood was willing and able to accommodate our handful of allergic/picky eaters and create a dessert spread (cookie, brownie, and ice cream sundae bar) for us because we didn't want a wedding cake. From there until the big day, they remained very communicative about what they needed from us and what we could expect from them throughout the process, even going so far as to help us map out the order of operations in the wedding! Finally, on the big day, Erica and her staff took care of us throughout and were all very kind and personable. They went above and beyond in helping us decorate and brighten up the space to make it perfect for us, and we were once again blown away by the service, food, and drinks. We had lots of comments during and after the wedding about how great the food and drinks were, too. They took care of everything in the table and chair setups/moves/breakdown with what Vinwood, the venue, and we provided, all in a timely manner. I'll never forget one of the staff stopping to let me know the bar was closing, and despite getting lost in conversation again and again, she personally brought over a drink for me with a wink and a smile when she saw me failing to get away. If you couldn't tell by now, I can't sing them enough praise - thank you, Vinwood!!”

“Choosing Erin for our wedding was probably the best decision we made in the 2 1/2 years we spent engaged. The difference with Erin is that she’s not just another wedding vendor; she became part of our friend group and family. We loved her so much for our engagement photos that we flew her down to North Carolina for the weekend because we couldn’t imagine anyone else capturing our day. Erin goes above and beyond in every way and that’s simply because she cares. She was originally planning to join our rehearsal dinner and welcome drinks to capture an hour or two, but she stayed the whole night. I’ve been in arguably too many weddings, and what sets Erin apart is that she doesn’t just take the classic posed shots and move on to the next. She focuses on the tiny little moments in-between each shot. One of the best pieces of advice she gave me was to stick by my husband, Tom, as much as possible. Because of that, the candid, emotional moments she captured are truly priceless and are my favorite photos! Perhaps too personal, but we both had major loses in our families right around the same time, and both before our own weddings. When it came time for our vows, having someone behind the camera (and even in front of it consoling us when we couldn’t stop crying - see photos attached) made a hard moment even more special. Long Hill is a property of The Trustees of Reservations, a Massachusetts non-profit corporation. From 1916 to 1979, Long Hill was the summer home of noted author and editor of The Atlantic Monthly, Ellery Sedgwick. He summered here with his first wife, Mabel Cabot Sedgwick, an accomplished horticulturist, gardener, and author of The Garden Month by Month, and his second wife, Marjorie Russell Sedgwick, a rare plants specialist—both of whom created a delightful, enchanting landscape, surrounded by more than 100 acres of woodland. Today, visitors delight in the beauty of Long Hill’s structured and naturalistic gardens as well as a network of woodland trails. A diverse collection of trees, shrubs, and distinctive perennial plants provide color during the growing season, peaking in May and June and providing structure and beauty throughout the year.

“Long Hill was a dream, it felt like a private fairy garden. Gorgeous location and the perfect size for us to take photos privately and guests to explore but not feel too far away (for wrangling from cocktail hour to dinner for example). The Long Hill staff were super communicative and responsive, sometimes a little stressful to work with as it felt like there were a number of restrictions but this really translated to a very stream-lined and well-organized wedding day as they brought up any potential issues early and then on the actual day they were super, super supportive and great to work with. They do have a list of 5 set caterers you need to work with, we were given an exception because of a dietary restriction my in-laws have (need to pay a 1000 fee), but this was tricky as Long Hill expects caterers to take on much more than just food. You'll also want to rent a dance floor (700 in the area) as the under tent area is brick. We had 115 of us total with buffet & dance floor, it was cozy & lovely but any more than 120 would feel tight to me. We were able to have a ceremony for an extra 1000 and then the reception was 5,200 for 5-10 on a Friday. In addition to the gorgeous gardens and beautiful cocktail area off the porch, we could take photos inside which was really lovely and a great break from the heat (our wedding day was 85 and VERY humid). Felt very professionally run and they worked well with my dear friend who was our day-of-coordinator and we just feel extremely grateful to have such a gorgeous location!”

“I had my eye on The Grove at Briar Barn Inn since it was simply a blueprint on an Instagram post. From the start, I knew it was going to be where I would get married someday. There is just something so quintessentially charming about the post and beam restaurant and the quaint New England Inn. The entire experience working with The Grove was great. We picked December 8th for not only the idea of a winter wedding but also for the holiday decor and availability for our preferred vendors. They were flexible in putting together the details and stuck to all the outlined dates and deadlines. We were assigned our wedding coordinator, Jeannine, about six weeks out as they said, and we were able to have our wedding details meeting soon after. The payment portal was easy to use, and the planning pod was intuitive and a great spot to keep important details in order. Jeannine answered all my questions promptly, and in the week leading up to the wedding, she was available for us to drop off all the decor ahead of time and spent time reviewing our vision one last time. On the day of, she was present, available, and helpful. She was detailed and organized and never pushy. She let us have our day and was there to help transition to the different elements seamlessly, paying attention to all the details so we wouldn't have to. Our guests have had only positive things to say about the entire day from the incredible food and the overall atmosphere. The only critique I have of the entire experience is the check-in process at the Inn. We had a 20 room block and ended up with 29 of the 30 rooms booked by our guests. The Inn has a very strict 2pm early check-in for 50 fee or 3pm otherwise check-in. We had a Sunday wedding in December where we had a first look and formal portraits at 2pm before a 4:00 ceremony because of the early sunset. We weren't able to stay Saturday night due to another wedding buy-out. The Grove accommodated me by making the hospitality suite available for us to get ready in; however, the Inn did not accommodate the groom getting ready. We rented out the Silo/Library for 250 to try to have a space for the men to get ready, but they didn't set up the privacy screen and there were too many people milling around for him to get changed in the non-private space. After a lot of inquiry from our wedding coordinator, our officiant, and our makeup artist, they finally let him into the room at 1:45 for the additional 50, but at that point it was only enough time for him to drop his phone and wallet. He ended up changing in the single stall bathroom in the basement of the Inn, which is a nice bathroom of course, but we would have liked a little more flexibility for us to have 1 room with early check-in to give him a bit more privacy. Flipping one room early for the bride and groom doesn't seem like a lot to ask in the grand scheme of the day or even offering some alternatives - we likely would have paid for a full extra night even if we couldn't get into the room the night before just to have the spot, but they didn't give us any options to work with until 1:45 p.m. ahead of 2pm call time. My recommendation for future couples is to negotiate into the wedding contract for something ahead of time if you could potentially run into the same issue, especially if you're out of towners who don't have other options nearby.”

“Getting married at the Stevens Estate was the best decision we made! The venue is absolutely beautiful, but the best part of the entire experience was working with Helen! Helen made the planning process so easy for us. She is so great to work with and so detail orientated. She brought all of our visions to life and made sure everything went according to plan. She created back up plans in case of unexpected events such as rain and really thought through everything. On the day of, we really had no stress because of the work Helen and her team put in. We had a unique wedding ceremony where we had a traditional ceremony followed immediately by a Persian ceremony, and Helen made sure everything followed our customized timeline. She even personally oversaw all of the Persian Ceremony decorations/set up to ensure our valuable items were set up perfectly and packed up safely. In addition to Helen, we also had a lot of other people with Stevens Estate who made sure our day was perfect. One was our day-of wedding attendant who was so attentive! She went out of her way to make sure my husband and I were getting everything we needed on the day of. If you want a beautiful wedding venue with an incredible team and amazing food we can’t recommend Stevens Estate enough.
