“Jesse was beyond exceptional. He worked our wedding in June 2023. It was important for us to find a photographer familiar with Chinese Tea Ceremonies and Catholic Weddings. And we did! From the beginning, Jesse helped with preparing the timeline and keeping us on schedule on our wedding day. He was so calm and encouraging during the day. A very reassuring person while we were running around. During the wedding, he was not intrusive; we barely noticed him and his colleague were there. Yet, they were personable, polite, friendly, and even our family commented on how lovely they were. When looking back at the photos, we feel we are reliving the emotions and love from the day. Even our wedding planning friend was impressed. We have a lot of candid poses mixed with formal portraits. He also has the patience of a saint, given the multiple photography demands from our family. “We just received our photos back from our wedding about a month ago, and we were blown away. We had a feeling the photos would be wonderful because of how professional and attentive our photographer (Athel) was, but of course there is always still that suspense. The team at Indigo and Ivory was wonderful throughout the entire process, always communicative, and it felt like they really cared. Athel even drove a good distance to attend an open house with us at our venue, to get some ideas ahead of time around what settings would be best. He was lovely throughout the whole event, super accommodating of our special requests, and captured all the most important moments. We cannot recommend them enough, the images came out amazing and we are getting tons of compliments! If there is anything I would do differently (and this is not any knock on Indigo and Ivory, this is just general advice for anyone looking to hire any photographer), I probably would have went ahead and added a second photographer for the day (which is something they offer). I wanted to cut costs a bit so we didn't go for it - but of course if you have two you will make sure to get all the different angles you are hoping for and then each person can spend a bit more time with both wedding parties to capture more of those candid moments. I also wish I had made sure to put together a better list of shots that I wanted - once again, these are items that I recommend in general and has nothing to do with Indigo and Ivory. If there are certain things you want your photographer to capture, make sure to write them down and communicate! With all that being said, even if you go with just one photographer and you happen to forget to write down all the specific moments or you just want things to be more free-flow - I 100% recommend Indigo and Ivory for you! They are wonderful and I'm so happy we have these gorgeous images to treasure for years to come.”

“Ben was amazing to work with on our engagement shoot. Leading up to the appointment, he was very flexible with changing the location, and responded in a timely manor. The day of, he arrived promptly and already had a good idea of the location, showing he put in the time to research the location prior. He made the whole process of getting romantic photos taken very easy breezy. Things never felt uncomfortable or forced and he was very enthusiastic as well. The turn around time that was estimated to us was something we considered to be pretty quick, but then far exceeded our expectations when we got them only 2 business days later.
