If you're thinking "is this worth it?" or "do I really need a planner?" or even, "I can do this all myself." ...you maaaybe can, but if you want your day to be utterly spectacular - hire Allie. I can't stress enough the importance of hiring someone like her. Our entire day was magic because of her and her CityLux team. We started out our journey with a clear goal, but it all felt a bit daunting. Allie was with us from start to finish (top to bottom planning and day-of!) and made every step along the way incredible. She was prompt, professional, honest, and kind. It's hard to find vendors that are as "on their game." There were times that we were completely at a loss for what was next and she always communicated with clarity so we felt comfortable and prepared to make decisions. There were sooooo many details only she could have thought of. Just when you think you have it figured out, there are 3 more things Allie was thinking of. I constantly said, "oh wow.. I didnt even think of that." Like coordinating bus routes and timing that out... no thank you! We felt like it was all under control because of her meticulous documentation, flawless communication with our other vendors, and emergency plans she put in motion behind the scenes. MOST importantly, she makes sure you can focus on your day and nothing else. From the napkins, to the placecards, to our grass wall, to our place settings, to the drink signs, and everything else in between, it was all so complete and I wouldn't have changed a thing. Not to mention, she professionally vetoed some of our ideas, and finding someone who knows what's realistic and what's not is hard to find. I've recommended her to ALL my friends and every time I get rave reviews. Don't go it alone throughout this process. Go with Allie and go with CityLux! Her knowledge was essential in discussing quotes with vendors, making major decisions, and keeping us calm as the big date approached. During the wedding weekend, I cannot stress enough the importance of having the Beckerman Planning team on-site. From setup until breakdown, the team was working non-stop to help us have the perfect wedding. Including staying late the night before to ensure a vendor fixed a major mistake with our seating chart. On the day of the event, it felt like magic how everything was just done before we could even think about it. We were able to relax and truly enjoy our day, not having to worry about ANYTHING. Garbriella even taught all the Groomsmen how to put on their boutonnieres!!! The schedule Garbriella put together was a lifesaver, and even better was her ability to ensure everyone was in the right place at the right time. From just that two hour meeting, we learned more about our budget, priorities, and expectations than we had from years of dreaming of our wedding. As soon we officially booked with Kay, we jumped into regular meetings, endless email advice, vendor recommendations- the works! “It is not unusual for wedding planning to begin more than a year in advance of your big day. Venue, flowers, decor, churches (bring your own priest which is a thing), engagement photos, DJ, wedding party, save the dates, invitations. The list DOES. NOT. STOP. With all of these moving parts it really makes you wonder how such a complex event can happen without the slightest issue and seemingly end before you know it. Well, Liv is our reason. After months of planning, and picking, and choosing, and changing, and scrapping ideas our bandwidth for creativity and follow-through was wearing thin. Liv saved the day. She seamlessly coordinated communications between all parties and vendors to ensure that everyone was on the same page. I will honestly say that without her our day would not have come together like it did. Everyone tells you that something will inevitably go wrong regardless of how thorough your planning. She made all the difference plus she continued to come and check in in me to see how I was doing throughout the getting ready process and has the calmest nature helping me to feel ready before I walked down the aisle. not only did she handle coordination and officiating the wedding she sprinkled in some extra magic by taking some gorgeous photos throughout the day and sent them to me the morning after the wedding so I would have a little something until my professional photos arrived! I am so utterly grateful to Brooklyn for making the best day of my life utterly perfect. She may be based in Ohio, however, my wedding was in Michigan-she has traveled all over the United States to work weddings and is so worth it, so feel free to inquire about out of state travel.
