“Brian is one of the best wedding DJs in the business. In the past two years I’ve been to eight different weddings. Brian was the DJ for three of the eight, and the party/reception component of the events was never more fun than when Brian was driving the bus. He is an east coast DJ, but he spun tracks at both of my sister-in-laws’ weddings and as we were searching for a DJ for our own wedding we reached out just to see what he would charge for a wedding in Chicago. Turns out the price was right. Brian traveled to Chicago, MC’d our entire wedding, brought all of the equipment necessary and made our day exceptional in every way. I think there are a few things that really set Brian apart from other wedding DJs. Anyone can stand there and run through a playlist, but Brian went off book a few times to match and capture the energy of the guests. As we were in the midst of the planning process he added zero stress, and just calmly walked us through the process of selecting songs. He had suggestions and recommendations along the way. He even brought an extra speaker so that we could plug our digital piano in and the pianist would be able to play loudly enough. Overall, we can’t recommend Brian highly enough. For the wedding, we created playlists for the different sections of the wedding, and Kevin knew just how to make our vision come to life --playing the right songs at just the right time and helping the wedding flow seamlessly. He also helped curate the perfect mood for dancing with his light design, and his new Photo Booth add on gave our guests an endless source of enjoyment when they needed to catch their breath off the dance floor. (And even more enjoyment for us when we got to see all the pictures and gifs people took after the wedding!). And if all that wasn't enough already, he even volunteered to take pictures during our sparkler exit and captured one of my favorite pictures of the whole day! “Joey G is like my cool uncle except he’s got sick DJ skills. He did our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. Not only was he professional and organized, but he also brought an incredible energy to our wedding. For the ceremony and cocktail hour, we provided him with a specific music selection, and even though we never rehearsed together, he nailed it perfectly. During the reception, we gave him a playlist, and he struck the perfect balance between sticking to our choices and reading the crowd to keep everyone dancing. One highlight was when Joey G handed the microphone to people in the crowd, turning our reception into an impromptu karaoke party. It was a blast! He was not only fun and engaging but also very attentive to our needs. He asked how to pronounce each name correctly for the toasts, ensuring everything went smoothly. We requested that he not take song requests, and he respected our wishes completely. The sound quality was stellar, and his equipment setup was flawless. Joey G understood our need for clean music as we had many families with young children attending, yet he still kept the atmosphere lively and fun. The dance floor was packed with all 150 guests! Joey G was also a great help with announcements, coordinating toasts, and working with friends and family to announce the newlyweds and photo groups. His flexibility and attention to detail were impressive. Overall, I highly recommend Joey G to any couple looking for an awesome wedding DJ. He provided a questionnaire that made the whole planning process so easy, and his execution was simply fantastic. Joey G truly made our wedding day unforgettable!”
