My mother and I had a joint celebration of our birthdays around late September last year. The venue was everything we could have dreamed of. Since it is situated in Roosevelt Island, it was the perfect venue to get away from all the hustle and bustle of the city and yet still get a beautiful view of the Manhattan Skyline. The team was also very friendly and supportive to all of our requests and questions. They made sure that our event will go accordingly to what we have envisioned. To top it all off, the food was amazing!!! It is so rare for the celebrants to eat during the event itself but I personally couldn't contain myself. Every dish that was offered during our event was impeccable and there wasn't any miss. There is not one bad thing that I could honestly say about this venue and the team behind. I highly recommend this to everyone!

Skylark was the best possible venue we could have booked for our wedding reception, full stop. Throughout the booking process, they were always highly responsive and professional. They invited us back for drink tastings, for catering option tastings, and even once got my now-wife and her two friends a table on a crowded Saturday night without a reservation. All in all, the venue itself is amazing. We lucked out and got the rooftop for our cocktail hour which we extended an extra 45m 'til sunset and our guests loved taking photos. The main dance area / bar of Skylark is fashionable, chic, and has a certain vibe that meshed perfectly with what my wife and I were looking for. They also have excellent side-rooms for the wedding party to take a moment to decompress in a cool leather-bound corner apartment with its own bar, bathroom, and changing area. The were a few things that really caught my attention as we were touring for the first time: the downstairs entrance is dark, moody, and intentionally a bit industrial which really helps set a New York vibe. Upstairs, I noticed our tour guide thought the music was a touch too loud in one of the side-rooms, so he immediately tweaked the volume down a notch on their iPad music controls. The drinks were excellent (we opted for the Cherry Blossom Old Fashioned and the French 75 for our wedding cocktails). We also came back to sample the food options (we went for a cocktail-style dinner with phased courses throughout the night), & they were all incredibly delicious thanks to Skylark's partnership with Abigail Kirsch. Lastly, our coordinator was Phil Montana and he is one of the best parts of our experience. He has exceptional attention to detail, coordination skills, and a warm & empathetic personality. I would also like to recognize the staff who were all wonderful in taking care of us & our guests throughout the night. If you are on the fence, I would highly suggest a tour. When we booked, Skylark did not have a ton of reviews either on Zola or on The Knot, so this review is my way of encouraging any readers to give it a shot -- if you are looking for a fashionable, chic New York wedding experience, The Skylark really cannot be beat. I'm looking forward to returning periodically as regular customers as well!

Our experience with the Douglaston Manor was an actual dream come true! From the moment we walked in to see the Manor, Kathy, our wedding coordinator, was wonderful. Relaxed, sweet, and so caring about us and what we wanted, she never made us feel pressured or nervous and gently made suggestions which ended up making our night even better than we could have hoped. Working with Carlos our Maitre D and Michelle my Bridal Attendant was a blessing. Michelle was so attentive and helpful. Within minutes of meeting her, I felt like I was spending time with a good friend. She was so funny, kept me calm and literally did anything and everything I needed- most of the time without me having to ask her. The same could be said for Carlos. Just to give a small example, my fake eyelash starting come off a tiny bit. Without any eyelash glue on us, I was nervous about how we would fix the issue but The Manor proved how above and beyond they'd go when Carlos, unpromoted and unknown to me at the time, went out and brought me eyelash glue! It was a small gesture but it went a long way and showed me how devoted the Manor is to their clients. Michelle made sure he knew exactly what to get and she helped me fix it when he came back (which was unbelievably quick as well) . Carlos was fantastic at keeping my group organized and making sure the ceremony was perfect. We are so grateful to both of them. Aside from their exceptional service, the staff at the manor was outstanding- every room was impeccably decorated and arranged exactly as we had hope, all of the items we had brought with us for various aspects of the night were set up perfectly without instruction and the attention to detail was second to none. The food. I am biased seeing as it was my own wedding, but the food was incredible from start to finish. The cocktail hour sampling that Michelle left from my husband and I including EVERYTHING being served downstairs and was presented beautifully- time was clearly taken to make sure we were able to try the food but also have it presented to us in a really special way. Kathy had suggested we try an "off-menu" item, braised beef in a red wine sauce, and no surprise, it was easily the best tasting wedding dinner item I've had at any wedding. There are so many things that go into making a wedding day perfect and that means there are so many things that are easy to stress over. Not once during the planning process or on the big day did I ever feel worried or concerned. Everybody communicated clearly, checked and double checked things and did everything possible to ensure everything was perfect- not just great, but genuinely perfect. Oh, and the cost was VERY reasonable. Kathy worked with us every step of the way to accommodate our budget while making sure the elements we wanted were included. We are looking forward to going back to the manor for future celebrations and feel so thankful to have been treated so well. They made our day everything we ever could have hoped for!

My husband and I just got married at Terrace on the Park on 2/17/24 in the Penthouse. The venue is absolutely stunning. We had looked at plenty of venues before selecting this one. From the start, Mildred was so helpful. Answering any questions we had and making sure all of our expectations were met and exceeded. The finalist manager, Nicole, was also amazing. Both her & Mildred were there on our wedding day to make sure everything went as planned. The chapel was set up beautifully for our ceremony, and the cocktail hour in the garden suite was amazing (from what we heard). The venue itself provides breathtaking views of the city and the surrounding landmarks, such as the world’s fair globe, citifield, Arthur Ashe stadium, and others. I wish I could go back to the beginning and plan it again with the same people!

We had the pleasure of hosting our intimate wedding for just over 50 guests at the Renaissance Event Hall in May 2024. The event space is beautiful— although the surrounding area is a bit rough, it’s a space that’s large enough to really bring your vision to life. Originally, our ceremony was supposed to be held on the outdoor patio but after a “rain plan” rehearsal we decided to have the ceremony indoors to make use of the beautiful grand staircase. Affordable space— for NYC? Absolutely. Food— great! Bar— great! Staff— amazing! Shout out to Larry for the amazing lighting. Both Larry and Lisa went above and beyond to make sure guests were served, comfortable, and having a great time. My only wish was that there was a separate groom suite that’s apart from the bridal suite. Here we had to use a foldable partition to separate the bride side from the groom side. Also, our rehearsal was double booked with another wedding party the day before our wedding which was a bit disappointing having to wait and navigate around their rehearsal to complete ours. However, this just seemed to be a simple miscommunication between Lisa and her assistant which I’m hoping won’t be the case with another bride/groom. Overall, it was the perfect space to host our wedding. Lisa was such a pleasure to work with and had such great insights on how to bring together the event in a manner that made the best use of the space. Thank you to the Renaissance Event Hall team!

Picking M. Wells as my wedding venue was the best decision I’ve ever made. You feel like you’re part of their family the moment you reach out. Sarah was so easy going and positive and flexible. Everything we asked, she said yes to. They are so supportive of whatever you want, whatever will make your day special and unique to you. The space is stunning and unique and can accommodate the ceremony and reception with different configurations to accommodate small to medium weddings. We had 75 guests and it was ideal. It’s intimate, cozy and just so special. The neighborhood is fun and trendy and makes for amazing pictures. And I promise you will not get better food for the price anywhere else. It’s the best deal in NYC. There is no set menu to choose from - you tell the chef what you like and they come up with amazing, inventive dishes, personalized to you and the season. The food was incredible and impressive and bountiful. We even had a poutine course after dessert! All my guests said my wedding was the most fun, unique wedding they had been to and everyone raved about the food. It was pure magic and love from start to finish. Pàn was hands down the most perfect venue we could have found for our wedding! We wanted a space where we could have both indoor and outdoor portions of the day, and were ideally looking for a restaurant space to avoid the hassle of separate catering. Pàn checked all of those boxes. From the very beginning, Yuki and her team were attentive, thoughtful, and thorough in their communication. The planning process was seamless, and Yuki in particular gave us so many great, creative suggestions about how to best optimize the space. On the day-of, their work was nothing short of fabulous; the restaurant and yard both have a charming, rustic beauty that created the exact ambiance we were looking. Yuki was also incredibly accommodating when helping us design the perfect menu, as a few of our friends are gluten free/vegan/have allergies. Our guests STILL talk about how abundant and delicious all the food/pizza was, and having an amazing meal was a top priority for us! We had the most incredible day thanks to Pàn, and we are so grateful for their hard work and dedication in making our wedding celebration the best it could have been. We cannot recommend Pàn highly enough!

We had a fantastic experience with Ravel. Everyone was exceptionally communicative and accommodating throughout the process and on the day of, especially our coordinator Eman. She stood out as a queen of logistics and made me feel like the planning process was always under control. The bridal assistant, Jade, was fantastic to have nearby on the day of, and Joe, who handled setup, was also a standout. Our guests raved about the food and the view. Overall, the aesthetic of the venue was an incredibly backdrop to our photos, and it really set the tone we were hoping for. Our reception was in the penthouse, and the glittering skyline really made the party feel sophisticated and chic, and unlike any other wedding I’ve been to. We ended up with 150 guests, and the room felt full in a lively way without ever being overcrowded. We had some concerns about the hotel after reading reviews, and those concerns were promptly alleviated. They even upgraded our room to the top suite, which was the perfect size for 9 women to get ready on the day of. Would definitely recommend this venue, especially a reception in the penthouse if it fits your guest count.

Our experience with Farm to People was nothing short of perfect. The very beginning of our NYC venue search was somewhat disappointing; we had a unique, sorta non-traditional vision for our wedding and had trouble finding a venue that could help us properly execute on that vision. Enter: Farm to People. From our very first conversation with Rachel, to visiting the space, to our tasting, to the day of the wedding, FTP not only helped bring that vision to life — they honestly made it better. Every single guest RAVED about the food, the drinks, the service, the staff, and the space. They nailed everything. The night was not only amazing, it was so thoroughly us and we genuinely couldn’t ask for more. People always say the wedding planning process is stressful, but Rachel made it an absolute breeze (and honestly, pretty fun!) Not to mention, it was invaluable to find a company, team, and space whose values of sustainable and ethical agriculture aligned with our own. Our guests were enchanted by the skyline views and the delicious bites and drinks. Everyone was very impressed by the turnover from ceremony space to reception. It was incredibly quick and smooth. The team was a well oiled machine, They handled every transition and any small hiccup with precision and grace. The personal attention given to the couple throughout the reception was greatly appreciated. Brooklyn Winery was the first venue that we looked at and we immediately knew that it was the perfect fit for us. The space is absolutely beautiful and has the perfect layout for a wedding. The greenery wall was the perfect backdrop for our wedding ceremony. We also loved the skylights and all of the fun lighting fixtures throughout the space, which made for such a cozy and intimate atmosphere. We also had wonderful interactions with every single person that we worked with at Brooklyn Winery. Our first conversation and venue tour with Tatiana was extremely informative and helped to answer all of the questions that we had. This made us feel comfortable in our decision to choose Brooklyn Winery for our wedding. We got to meet more of the venue staff during our tasting and all of them were so kind to us. Everyone came over to introduce themselves and get to know us. We had dinner at the restaurant after our final walkthrough and were able to see some of the venue staff from the tasting, who remembered us and happily accommodated our dietary restrictions. And most importantly, we absolutely LOVED working with our Event Manager, Marissa Allain! Marissa was incredibly helpful in the months leading up to the wedding, providing quick responses to all of our questions. She kept us organized and thought through every little detail so that everything would run smoothly on the day of the wedding. Marissa helped us feel at ease throughout the whole process of wedding planning. She was so warm, genuine, and thoughtful and we feel so lucky to have had her as our event manager. We don’t know how we could have done it without her. The food was also a highlight of having a wedding at Brooklyn Winery. We had several guests with food allergies / dietary restrictions including dairy free, gluten free, pescatarian, vegetarian, and more. Brooklyn Winery was able to help us modify the dishes that selected to accommodate all of these dietary restrictions and make sure that there would be something for everybody to enjoy. And the food was delicious! We were blown away at how good it was and received countless compliments from friends and family. Where to begin...from the first time we met with Angie (the events director) all the way to our wedding day, she and the rest of the staff blew right past any expectations we could ever have and literally delivered our dream wedding. Our guests raved about how much fun they had and it cannot be overstated how much of that is due to the incredible atmosphere of the venue and the amazing people working there. They just made everything so easy. It goes without saying that Threes has top-notch beers, wine and cocktails that kept us and our guests very happy, but we have to give a special shoutout to THE FOOD. We opted for the Gotham Smash Burger (with an option for an Impossible patty for vegetarian/vegan guests) as our entree and I had multiple people tell me it was the best food they'd ever had at a wedding, the best kale caesar salad they'd ever had period, and one of the vegetarian guests told me it was the best veggie burger she'd ever had in her life. Threes at Franklin Kent could not have been a more perfect place for our wedding. If you are looking for a laid-back yet elevated and romantic Brooklyn brewery vibe for your special day, look no further. They will take superb care of you!

We had the perfect dinner for about 20 people in the private greenhouse at Casa Ora. My wife is Venezuelan and her half of the table were Spanish-speakers, while my half were not. They served us in both languages effortlessly. They set up a beautiful space, best outdoor seating room I’ve experienced in NYC even in the winter. The service was outstanding, and the food and drinks were delicious. The Venezuelan side gave everything their stamp of approval, and the other side loved everything they tried. As a vegetarian, I can vouch for the vegan and vegetarian options too. The staff was warm, accommodating, and on top of it from the first email correspondence all the way through the end of the night and after. Highly recommend!

Paolo is the nicest, most professional gentleman in the food business and went above and beyond to help us make our dream wedding menu. We went for so many tastings, just because we could, and we were obsessed with the food! It is some of the best food in all of NYC and such an affordable price. Our food was the most important thing to us at our wedding, we wanted there to be a variety, we wanted it to be yummy and we wanted there to be a lot of it so our guests would never become hungry. They nailed it! From the service to the attention to detail, everything was perfect and extremely affordable. It was also amazing to be able to have one vendor for all the food, servers, dessert and bar!

My husband Dustin held our reception at Albert's Bar in April. My goodness I cannot begin to say enough about how picture perfect this venue is! Not only is the space itself beautiful and unbeatable, the team behind Albert's Bar are among the nicest and most helpful I've ever worked with. Their events lead Jenn was with us every step of the way, the manager Pete made us feel so seen & heard, and a massive thank you also to Abby for executing every detail for us on the day of the big event! The bar tenders and wait staff completed enamored my family & friends (and how kind were they to humor us in our excessive enthusiasm!) There are so many areas of our experience to rave about... Quite honestly, my family and friends are *still* waxing poetic about their big night out in midtown. This venue absolutely elevated the experience of everyone who attended. We had several high profile attendees from out of town who mentioned more than once that they were "completely blown away by Albert's". My guests who were local were equally impressed. This venue made us look as cool as we think we are ;) Run, don't walk, to secure your wedding space with Albert's.
