We had originally planned to just do our engagement shoot with them, as we were getting married out of state but when we got the proofs back, there was no question about paying the travel cost to have them capture our wedding day. They were there for us every step of the way, and will make you feel like you can handle anything your crazy aunt or creepy family friend is going to throw your way on your day - they’ve seen it all and they play defense for you. Wedding day rolls around and they’re in full on production mode. When I say that I didn’t have to worry about a single thing on the wedding day, I mean it. They had our schedule, kept us on track, and most importantly, they kept us relaxed. I cannot stress enough how special it was to have them both there to get both angles of all of the moments - it’s not something you really think about until you see how special it is to have both sides of the first looks, walking down the aisle, and the first kiss. As my husband and I talked about the day on our way to our honeymoon a few days later, we agreed that choosing Mark and Beth was by far the greatest decision we made for our day. We loved them, and they gave us the most precious memories to cherish for ever. Their work speaks for itself, there’s no question about that, but I think the most important thing they bring is the passion they have for what they do, and I think that’s what made us trust them as much as we did. We really could not have asked for a better pair to work with, and every one in our family LOVED them. “We had Makena as our wedding photographer for our November wedding. She was absolutely amazing to work with! It has taken me a little bit to write a review because there's a million things I could write about and narrowing it down was a task. First, she was more than willing to meet with us well before the wedding to go over what to expect because we were in the dark about the whole wedding process so knowing what we needed to tell a photographer was new to us. She went above and beyond. As a bride I was a little stressed that day and she helped me in everyway. She gave advice, was so generous as to go and receive something I needed, even went to check on things and communicated things for me. I never would have expected that but it honestly helped me out tremendously and actually was a main point to helping the wedding go so smoothly. My husband and I aren't exactly comfortable taking pictures and I was nervous because I wouldn't know how we were suppose to pose or anything like that. Makena made us feel comfortable and directed us for the photos, which took away any nervousness. She was so warm and friendly. We even had a lot of comments from our guests about how nice she was. Our pictures came out amazing. She gave us a sneak peak the morning after which was so awesome to get to show off. “Lacie captured moments that took my breath away. Her style and skill is every bride’s dream. She delivers everything you adore from those Pinterest and Instagram wedding photos. So there is no question she can deliver what she is looking for. And we are beyond thrilled with all of our photos. The sneak peeks are also so much fun (she sends a batch of photos shortly after she shoots you). But where Lacie shines and what I have to tell you about is everything else. She truly went above and beyond. She’s not just a photographer, she’ll be one of your favorite people on your special day. Yes, Lacie is kind and friendly and comforting and just the kind of person you need on your wedding day (and who you wished you roomed with in college). But she is so much more. Here are just some of the few meaningful things Lacie did that I noticed that I’ll forever carry with me. Firstly, I had a very important rosary I wanted to photograph, and with the chaos, I had forgotten. It would have broken my heart if I left it behind. Lacie remembered. I got fixated on an insignificant hiccup on my wedding day that could have ruined my day. Lacie redirected my attention to the things that really mattered and brightened up my mood immediately. Leading up to the wedding, Lacie advocated for me and my husband ensuring us she was fully dedicated to only us on the day, literally saying “You and Sean are my priority.” Nobody and nothing would take her attention away from us. She was always quick to respond to texts, I could go to her for quick wedding advice, and she’s genuinely so passionate about her craft. Lacie could really be a wedding planner with how much she knows. Other vendors loved working with her, especially our videographers. She was so quick, efficient, and took initiative. She gave them space and skillfully took turns capturing moments with them. With a big wedding party and spacious venue, we kept losing track of people for pictures, Lacie corralled them masterfully. She’s not afraid to get people to focus and get the photos done, but also in the most polite and respectful way. I watched videos of brides saying I wish this or that moment was captured. Sometimes I’d forget whether I had those moments captured myself. Then I go to Lacie’s photos and every single thing that brides mentioned got missed by their photographer she captured for me. Her vibe! She’s so positive and cheery. I was so nervous and also worried about how dark my church was. She got me excited about it after turning it into a positive saying it would look like the theater and she could absolutely work with it. I texted her a shoot list the night before our wedding. She carried that around and took it so seriously making sure she captured everything I listed. I made a Pinterest board of photos I liked and she remembered ones I forgot I included in there. She was my favorite vendor (tied with my incredible florist @dazyflorals) and the vendor I had no worries about it. I didn’t have to check in with her. I could trust her with my eyes closed. She’d be where she needed to be on time, professional, and prepared. I’m going to miss her. Sign her and soak up her sunshine for me, will ya?”
