I cannot recommend enough! The entire Grands team was amazing to work with from start to finish! Joe (general manager) gave us an in-depth tour and made sure we knew all of our options. Mel (events director) made sure we stayed on track with timeline and choosing all the details. Larry (entertainment director) made sure our guests had the best time - I don't think the dance floor was ever empty! And we can't forget about Alyssa (day of coordinator) - she made sure the team had us covered in ways we would have never thought. She made the day stress-free, which was a dream! All of our guests had a great time and couldn't stop talking about how great the venue and team were. 100/10 recommend having your wedding at The Grands!

Reeds & Rushes is an amazing venue! When we first toured the place, it was still under construction, but we trusted Curtis and Maddy's vision. They truly impressed us with the final result. With the wood details and black and white accents, the venue provides the perfect backdrop for your special day. We were thrilled with the addition of the dock and the pergolas in the back patio. Our outdoor ceremony by the lake was beautiful. The Bridal & Groom suites were terrific, I loved that the Groom suite had a golf simulator – it kept the guys entertained while they waited! The Bridal suite was also gorgeous and spacious enough for 8 girls. Curtis and Maddy were excellent to work with, very responsive, and always helpful whenever we had any questions. I would definitely recommend them!

I can't say enough great things about Wicked Wort. When we got engaged, we didn't give our venue a second thought. The inside of the brewery is so cool and unique, it made for some amazing photos. The day of, I didn't have to think about anything, they were all so great at taking care of what needed to be done. The best thing about having our wedding here? It was working with family. There wasn't a bunch of people running around who we didn't know- it was the same faces we had met with and planned with. Steve and Tracy are about the best business owners/runners, and having their family involved makes it even cooler. I look back on our photos and think about they day with so much joy- the pictures are as unique as the day was- and that's how it should be :) We wouldn't have changed a thing of how our big day went- and I will keep recommending Wicked Wort forever. Quincy Hall was an incredible venue for our wedding! We had around 200 guests for our September wedding and it felt simultaneously spacious and cozy. The QH team was very responsive and helped with planning every step of the way. They were also super accommodating and helped fine ways for us to meet out budget while still getting the experience we were looking for. The venue and surrounding area had a number of spots for stunning, industrial vibe photos and we couldn't be happier with the look and feel for our day. Our food was also outstanding. We knew the food at Crave would be delicious, but we received so many compliments from guests about their meals. They have some of the most reasonable prices on the market and the catering staff were super professional and polished. Overall, we had a great experience and would highly recommend Quincy Hall!

  • Bridal suite on site

Venue considerations

We had an unforgettable wedding at the University of Minnesota Campus Club in February. We had about 6 months to plan our wedding and working with the staff at the Campus Club made the planning process more fun than anything! They had great taste and suggestions for the wedding, responded quickly to questions, and were so kind. We were also allowed to have our dog at the ceremony! It made the planning process streamlined because we could have the ceremony, dinner, food, and the dance floor all in one place. The venue already had so much character that one doesn't need a lot of extra decorations (and extra work). The space is so large that it does not feel crowded to have the entire wedding at this location. What drew us to this location were the stunning views of Minneapolis, the incredible food options (the guests could not stop talking about the steak!), and the multiple options you had for room choices. We rented out the West Wing and the bar area, which proved to be a great option for guests to mingle after the ceremony and before dinner. With amazing views, delectable food, and a beautiful venue it made our wedding a perfect day!

Glass House

5.0

Minneapolis, MN
  • Up to 250 guests
  • All-inclusive
  • Indoor & outdoor
  • Starts at $5,000

Glass House is a unique event space in the North Loop of Minneapolis located inside the facility of Hennepin Made, a local company founded in 2011 drawing on traditional glassblowing techniques to craft hand-blown accents that blur the line between everyday object and modern art. The space’s original concrete floors, cinderblock walls, and steel beam construction have been re ned and accentuated by modern elements to create a beautiful backdrop that blends past and present. Our building at 147 Holden Street was constructed in 1955 as a glass warehouse and mirror manufacturing plant for the Ford McNutt Company. Hennepin Made acquired the property in 2016 from Brinn Glass in order to expand their operations and grow their vision to connect people through craft. Thus, Parallel Cafe + Holden Room were created.

Why you'll love this venue

  • Private area for the wedding party
  • Multiple event spaces
  • Provides event staff

Venue considerations

  • No in-house lighting and sound packages available
  • Venue feels large for events with small guest lists
The team at Glass House was a pleasure to work with for our wedding. Their communication was timely and they were highly accountable, ensuring a smooth planning process. The venue itself is absolutely beautiful, with an aesthetic that perfectly fit our vision. They were also flexible in the required minimum charges, layout and flow of our smaller guest count. The transition between rooms went seamlessly, and the bar service was well-organized. While the staff may have been a bit too casual, and it was unclear who our dedicated day-of contact and security were, overall Glass House provided excellent value and contributed greatly to making our special day a huge success.

The Van Dusen Mansion was the perfect venue for our wedding. From the first time we reached out, the staff was fast, efficient, and incredibly kind throughout the entire planning process. The only downside was they have a preferred caterer that was very expensive and harder to work with since they only had specific options and plans. On the day of, their day-of coordinator was amazing - she ensured the flow of the event went smoothly and everything was executed flawlessly. The space itself is absolutely beautiful and regal, creating a truly special atmosphere for our special day. Overall, we felt the value of the Van Dusen Mansion was well worth it, and we're so grateful to have celebrated our wedding in such a stunning and well-run venue.

Minneapolis parks encompass the city’s defining lakes and the riverbanks at the core of the city’s development. Acquired by purchase and donation, the parks include features of astonishing beauty, historical significance, and ecological wonder, all within a thriving urban setting. More than this, the parks are imbued with personal meaning—the playgrounds that live in the memories of generations of people, are the soul of our communities. Today, the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board (MPRB) is an independently elected, semi-autonomous body responsible for governing, maintaining, and developing the Minneapolis Park System. The 6,817-acre system consists of local and regional parks, playgrounds, golf courses, gardens, biking and walking paths, nature sanctuaries, lakes, and a 55-mile parkway system. Take a step back in time to discover how our world-renowned park system got its start.
