“We originally booked with Robert for a wedding, and were so blown away with his work that we have continued to book him every year for our family photos – 7 years now! He is truly an artist and he captures not only the moment, but somehow portrays the personalities and spirits of his subjects. Photography for the wedding – just WOW. My husband I hired Modern Art Photograph as our wedding gift to my sister and the photographs were the favorite part of the bride and groom's day! The wedding was on the McKenzie River near Eugene at a rented house – Robert went a couple weeks ahead and scouted the area for good locations and had it mapped out for them on the day of the wedding. He took them on a tour through the area before the ceremony, guiding while letting them make the decisions. The pictures were absolutely STUNNING and the couple came back all grins from the 2 hours spent taking the pictures. Pictures during ceremony and reception were just as amazing and Robert also took photos for my pregnancy announcement and for a groomsmen and his fiancé. The next year we booked with Robert for autumn family photos and since then have done shoots all over Portland and even down to the coast twice. He captures my children in a way that I have never been able to on camera. Personally, I am not photogenic and have never loved any photos of myself - except when Robert is behind the camera. The pricing is incredibly reasonable, and for the cost of the shoot you get ALL the pictures in high def. It’s hundreds of photos each year and the hardest part is picking my favorite. He's always offered to re-shoot the entire thing if we don't like it, but we have always been more than happy with the results. He is very responsive with communication and coordination. And he’s amenable to whatever our needs are prior to and during the shoots (including crabby kids, anxious mom, or whatever!). I just cannot express how highly we recommend him!”
