Wedding cakes can range from $3–$15 per serving . Tiered cakes are more expensive than sheet cake styled cakes.

How should we cut our wedding cake?

Traditionally, you’d do a ceremonial cutting first, often holding hands on the knife. The caterer then takes the cake away and cuts it into slices to distribute to guests. If you’re slicing it up yourselves, take apart the tiers and cut them into small rectangles. Remember to wrap and freeze the top layer for your anniversary!

How should we transport our wedding cake?

Very carefully! Ideally, your cake will be delivered by your bakery, which should have plenty of experience transporting cakes. You can also purchase special boxes made to protect the tiers.

When should we order our wedding cake?

Set up tastings (the fun part!) around 7 months out. Once you’ve decided, place your order.

It is no doubt that her work is impeccable (what you see in pictures does not do justice to how even MORE beautiful it is in person), but her communication throughout the process and commitment to executing your vision is incomparable to other bakeries and bakers. I had a very intimate/small wedding (15 people), and other bakers made me feel like my event wasn't worth their time and effort to make, but Natasha was so sweet and kind - made me feel like she genuinely wanted to make our day special. I especially loved that she offered a cake tasting for us even though we were only ordering a small 2-Tier cake. Other bakers refused to do a tasting unless I was intending to spend over 700. All of the flavors she offered were SOOOOO good! It was tough to choose one but we are beyond satisfied with the berry shortcake flavor Everyone at my wedding was so impressed by the cake. So clean, chic and timeless. She truly executed my vision from just the one inspiration picture. Unfortunately I did not get any clear pictures of the cake due to the dim lighting in the restaurant . My guests were also amazed how moist and tasty it was too (make sure to follow her recommendation to serve cake at room temperature to enjoy at its full potential). You can really feel the love, time and effort she puts into her work!!! A TRUE TALENT. She was very honest and reasonable when it came to pricing as well! Our guests loved them and even took some to go! Valerie made the whole process easy and was friendly and responded quickly to my emails. She offers a sampling of the mini cupcakes for purchase in order to trial the flavors, which I thought was such a great idea (and they were delicious)! “DLicious Sweets designed and prepared a desert table for our daughters wedding April 2023. It was the most amazingly beautiful dessert table I’ve ever seen at a wedding venue to date!! The wedding cake brushed in gold and adorned with beautiful vintage themed flowers was absolutely gorgeous and amazingly delicious… I’ve gone to the best pastry shops in the country and they all failed in comparison!! We had over six hundred plus pastries, and every single solitary one of the pastries was GONE not one left!! The calls and texts we received the day after the wedding about the cake and magnificent dessert table blew my phone up!!!! The incredible variety not to mention the flavors and of course deliciousness of it ALL… the personalized dessert boxes for the guests to take home was beyond anything we ever could have imagined….truly unbelievable!!
