The Den has such amazing communication. Tara, the owner, gets back to you right away, which is a refreshing change from the week-long response times at most venues. She is extremely friendly, kind, and goes above and beyond when it comes to accommodating, communicating, and providing clear instructions. The space is gorgeous and breathtaking - I have hosted a few events here and this is definitely my go-to venue. The detailed decor and immaculate cleanliness of the space keep me coming back every time. Tara also includes a vendor list of trustworthy professionals she works with, truly wanting your day to go smoothly. She is extremely accommodating and allows you to have a venue tour prior to booking. The rentals and decorations she already has inside make it a breeze to easily curate the perfect event without having to bring in too much yourself. I have been hosting events at this venue since the beginning of 2025, and Tara consistently exceeds my expectations. I can't imagine hosting my industry events anywhere else - we love The Den!

She was extremely helpful and guided us throughout the entire process of booking. Kathy was our officiant, she took her time to talk to us and getting to know us before the wedding. She was a huge asset to our wedding day. Lastly Trynne was our coordinator, she was a lot of help on the day of the wedding, she made sure my husband and I had our food and guided us through the whole event. We hosted our wedding ceremony and reception here and couldn't be happier with our choice of venue. Zoey, the recreation coordinator, worked with us from booking until day-before rehearsal and last minute layout changes to accommodate an unexpected heat wave during our wedding. She was so helpful and professional and went above and beyond to make sure we had a plan A and plan B for the weather. We ended up moving the ceremony to the courtyard for shade and moving the reception inside to the grand hall, and it turned out beautifully. Not only was this an affordable option and we are happy with where our money went, but we received very professional, warm, and timely communication and assistance from Zoey from start to finish. Highly recommend hosting your wedding or event here!

The Japanese Garden is a beautiful, intimate, hidden gem on the campus of Cal State Long Beach. It was a lovely backdrop drop to our wedding day. Reminiscent of the great 19th century pleasure gardens, our Grounds provide welcome respite from the everyday cares of the world.

If what you are seeking is a truly magical venue, look no further than the Velaslavasay Panorama. My wife and I did not want to have the typical hotel conference hall wedding. We wanted to show our family from outside of LA a place that was meaningful to us and at the same time still impress our friends from LA. The Panorama is genuinely extraordinary, with several different areas that can be arranged to suit your celebration. Our guest list was about 70 people and it was the perfect size. We opted to have our main ceremony in the historic theatre, our cocktail reception with our bartender in the lush garden, our musician play in the gazebo, and our dinner in the large area outside the moon gate. This made it easy for pick ups and drop offs with our catering and table / chair / bar rental. Sara and Ruby from the Panorama were absolutely lovely to deal with and helped considerably with logistics before, during, and after the event. Our photographer loved all of the different backdrops possible and everyone kept mentioning how wonderful the venue was. Check it out, I'm sure you will be absolutely stunned by the Panorama.
