If you're looking for someone who really listens to what you want, instead of playing just the same 30 songs you hear at every wedding, Josh is your DJ. The music selection process is easy - in addition to check-in calls and zooms, he uses an app, so you can build you can craft the perfect playlist ahead of time. We both really enjoyed adding songs to our app throughout the planning process. But the best was actually hearing the way he was able to combine so many of our favorite songs for our reception party. He had all our of guests (ages ranging from 10 to over 80 years old) dancing all night long. Our first comment from friends the day after our wedding was about how fun they had on the dance floor and how great the music was! I also think its important to add that Josh handled our wedding ceremony music, cocktail music, dinner music and sparkler exits as well- he provided mics, sounds systems, everything we needed, and all of those were executed perfectly. He was on time for set-up, very respectful of the rules/guidelines in places at our historic venue, and he collaborated really well with our other vendors to make sure everything looked and sounded perfect. Also he is just the nicest guy- really responsive on email and genuine- which was so, so appreciated during tho last few chaotic months of wedding planning. 10/10 - highly recommend.”

Following immediately, he hosted a Bring Your Own Beer (BYOB) house party, where 50 people showed up. After a horrible experience talking with another vendor, we immediately clicked with Amy and felt that she understood what we were looking for (Gay dance pop!). Communication with her was straightforward and simple, and she took our basic playlists for different parts of the night and blended them to reflect our style and set the appropriate mood. She executed the music cues during our outdoor ceremony perfectly which we believe helped to elevate the whole experience. But the star of our experience with her was an amazingly packed and vibrant dance floor for the whole time. We got so many compliments on the music and everyone from our friends to coworkers and older relatives had a great time. One of our requests was to play a ton of Chappell Roan and Amy delivered, including a (potentially original?) dance mix of Pink Pony Club that was honestly transcendent. She even played a special song for a plushie toss (it’s a story) without our prompting. “I used Summit Events Co. for my December '24 wedding and could not recommend them more! DJ Ben was SO fun and really kept the party alive. He was such a pleasure to meet with ahead of time and asked us tons of questions to really understand our vision for the evening. He was truly a delight and even wore black, per my very annoying request :) He also had me get on the DJ board (just pretending) and it was a huge hit! Very fun, very adaptable! Summit Events Co. uses an app for all of your music and timeline needs and it was SUPER easy to use. It connects to Spotify, Youtube, and a few other platforms so I could just upload my playlists I had already worked on and it made everything really fast. We also got a photobooth which was AMAZING. It's hard to know when planning a wedding what is worth the extra cost but this hands down was worth it. Our attendant was such an angel and multiple people came up to me after to tell me how cool she was! Their pricing is super reasonable - very in line with other vendors I found and Ben was able to accommodate our specific budget while still making our vision come to life. Overall I would highly, HIGHLY recommend Summit Events Co!”

Especially when both me and my husband love all different types of music. He communicated clearly with what we needed to select throughout the day, and anything we hadn’t decided on he understood what vibe was and nailed it. Everyone was on the dance floor from the moment formalities ended to the last song of the night (Cinema by Skrillex of course). I asked for a party and Alex delivered exactly that (& better)! While their communication was a bit delayed leading up to the event, they were ultimately effective in executing on the day-of. The DJ kept the party going all night with a good song selection, though they did play 3 Taylor Swift songs in a row at the start, which we would have preferred more variety. The MC's ad-libs got a little overbearing at times, but overall they did a nice job sticking to the schedule and making important announcements. We'd recommend HiMotive to other couples looking for an energetic DJ.”
