The MC's ad-libs got a little overbearing at times, but overall they did a nice job sticking to the schedule and making important announcements. We'd recommend HiMotive to other couples looking for an energetic DJ.”

“Follow the Sun is seriously the best band ever! Not only do they sound amazing, they were so easy to communicate and plan with and are just genuinely good people. Prior to booking, we came out to watch a live performance and even though they were crazy busy, they each made a point to come say hi and get to know us a little bit. Sophie (our contact person for emails while planning) was personable, responsive, and beyond accommodating. They offer complimentary song requests during the planning process and personalized their performances to include us and our people They also played our ceremony live, and it was better than I could have ever imagined it would be! All we wanted for our wedding day was to celebrate and have fun with our friends and family, and Follow the Sun was the exact vibe we were looking for! I don’t think we left the dance floor once all night, other than to take sunset photos. Richie got our daughter involved by giving her a pick and letting her play his guitar mid performance, a highlight she hasn’t stopped talking about and will never forget!! Annnd they shared a bag of Doritos with me at the end of the night during cleanup, that I will never forget! Lol (trust me, when the wedding is over and you realize you never really get a chance to eat the entire day, you will get it ) Just another example of how great these people are!! We received so many compliments from our guests and everyone wanted to know who the band was! Seriously, one of the best decisions we made was booking with them! From the planning, to the ceremony, to the reception and even after, the band was so great to work with. We are already planning a trip to the Cleveland area to catch one of their upcoming shows! Booking was a breeze and it was clear he knew what he was talking about in the initial phone call. A huge perk was that he was friendly and knowledgeable and got along well with the owners of the venue! I felt confident that he was getting the job done in the interim months when there isn’t a lot of contact needed. Exactly a month before the wedding, he had reached out ALREADY KNOWING WHAT I PLANNED WITH MY VENUE! I couldn’t be more happy with the service on that. While Chris and I never met in person, I felt so comfortable. The weeks leading to the wedding, he was readily available for questions/concerns/logistics. Meeting with my vendors, giving suggestions on wedding day flow and making the magic happen. He probably did more behind the scenes that I didn’t even have to put thought into. He was just that good. DJ Pauly Paul was the MC for our event and he was very knowledgeable and quick with a song that would get the guests on their feet. Somehow playing crowd pleasers and songs that hit my particular taste. Everyone 21-70 years old was on the floor. Paul reached out with great suggestions and guides for the specific music. Our wedding had 3 sound stages, which I know was difficult. The team handled it with grace and coordination- like they loved the challenge, not at all like a burden or chore. Keith and Pauly Paul were behind the scenes heroes making it all happen. Transporting equipment, lighting and the audio guest book just happened. No one even realized the transition happened until it happened. I would also suggest the audio guest book! I was initially unsure but Chris graciously put it at our venue. Guests were fun with it- especially after a few drinks. Uplighting is also a must! My venue was Farrington Hollow and was particularly large. The owner of Farrington glowed about his service during our initial meeting and I soon found out the two companies work together SEAMLESSLY. Guests at my wedding were regularly coming up complimenting the DJ, venue and overall energy. I really give them credit to make my day and my guests!”

When it comes to dj’s there’s a few things I look for : Good communication, approachable, and knows his audience to keep the party going on the dance floor. He checked all these for me. As a videographer there have been a few times where key events were happening that I was never informed about. Jim made sure nothing important happened until I was in the room and ready to roll. That right there is a huge win. He kept me up to speed on everything happening that night. His audio system sounded phenomenal! Before you even meet with Liza she sends a huge list of wedding day tips which was a life saver for me. Lastly which was so unexpected, Liza was there making sure I was okay, and drinking water! What DJ does that?!? And then after the ceremony she greated me with a tequila sunrise. I have so many amazing things to say about Liza.
