What a beautiful venue, the view can't be beat, the reception/dinner room is beautiful, the food was wonderful. And the drinks were perfect! The owner was so accommodating with all of my quirky plans - never complained, listened to what we wanted and made it all happen. We are picky so this is really something. The sound system is great - really over the top from what you would normally expect. Dancing on the beautiful deck that sits out on the water was heaven. We could have danced until dawn. I heartily recommend this venue and Kim (the owner) as \"the\" place to have your wedding, anniversary party, birthday party, or just a party party! We knew we wanted to get married in the Finger Lakes and looked at a few venues, but nothing compared to Inns. We loved the intimate nature of the property, the wedding and reception spaces, the accommodations, the convenience of Fargo across the street for the after party, and the relaxed yet elevated vibe. Lindsey and Kim were incredible to work with - we felt both understood what we were looking for and wanted to do and were a joy to work with. During the wedding weekend, Kim was absolutely amazing - anticipating our every need, offering to take our dog out during our wedding if needed, and checking in on me throughout the welcome party and reception to see if I needed anything (often already prepared with my drink of choice in hand in case I needed a refill). The food was incredible - our guests all remarked about the food and service the entire weekend. Our guests loved spending the weekend in Aurora - walking to the Village Market to grab a coffee in the morning, enjoying the spa, wineries and breweries, just enjoying time with friends on the gorgeous properties, having lunch at Fargo, etc. Overall this is a phenomenal property and venue - they deliver an exceptional level of service and I can't recommend it enough. Two vendors to call out - Metropolitan Players was the wedding band of our dreams and Laura of Laura Rose Photography was truly the best (a pleasure to work with, incredible energy on the day of, and stunning photos). Any extra things we wanted for the wedding or reception just needed to be dropped off and the event coordinators took care of the rest. The coordinator we met with was great with communication through email. We really enjoyed our dinner tasting - the food was amazing! The coordinators made the day run so smoothly. The room for the cocktail hour was set up wonderfully. Table settings are included with the package and the candles looked perfect. We felt secure in knowing we could easily move the ceremony inside with any weather concerns. The landscaping/greenery is so well taken care of, it looked fantastic for our ceremony outside on the patio. The hotel staff set up, serve, and clean up - it made for a very relaxing weekend. Our hotel room was incredible also. The hotel was generous with leaving little surprises and gifts for us when we arrived to our room. Literally a beautiful classic venue with such potential to make any brides dream come true. We rented the entire hotel for our reception all 19 rooms and it was perfect for our guests. The bridal suite room is beautiful with a whirlpool tub and was perfect for my wedding party to get ready for the ceremony in. Our ceremony was elsewhere but I could see someone have everything right at the Sherwood and it being completely beautiful. Greg was absolutely wonderful to work with. There are 2 venues to choose from a formal venue room on the 1st floor and a basement bar venue which we rocked and danced our reception into the early morning hours. The photos are to die for trust me!!
