“Audey did a FANTASTIC job with both our engagement photos and our city hall wedding ceremony photos. When I got in contact with her, we chatted about any ideas I had in terms of locations and poses, but she was also incredibly helpful in prompting us to think about what we wanted out of our shoots. She's able to scout locations super quickly once at the destination and is a true pro at being able to get the shot. We took our engagement photos at Lands End and Golden Gate Park on an absolutely freezing day (another normal day in SF haha) and Audey helped us get through the shoot quickly and successfully! She directed us through all of the poses and made us feel super comfortable and relaxed with her. We were even able to squeeze in some last minute unplanned shots that actually turned out so beautiful. For SF city hall, she truly is a miracle worker because nobody had guessed that there were several other couples also milling around the rotunda based on the outstanding shots she was able to take. I had no idea it was her first time shooting SF city hall since she navigated it like a pro! “Paulina is an amazing photographer - we hired her for engagement and wedding photography! She is so pleasant to work with and is super friendly, which really helps to make us and our guests feel comfortable on the other side of the lens! This translates really well into the photos, as she is able to capture everyone naturally! On the day of our wedding, she was a great orchestrator as she gathered our guests and went through our group portraits efficiently and with the best light. “It was my lucky day the day I met the Animus Art team at a bridal expo and won their free engagement photo shoot. When my (now) husband and I met with them over coffee (the way to their hearts, I found later) to talk about the shoot, I hadn't intended on choosing our wedding photographer then. We ended up loving their work so much...but more importantly, we fell in love with them as people. They have such a passion for what they do and for the people they work with, and it shows through in every conversation, every laugh, and every photo. I can tell you how I started shooting photos since I was a young wee lad, but that's what everyone else says and also it's not true. I didn't even pick up a camera until I was in high school. I'm the type of person who ignores convention and does it differently, my own way. Seldom the "right" way, but always the "Wong" way. My passion for creativity and my adeptness of the tech and the technical is what allows me to weave my craft and to produce art for my couples.

“When my now husband and I were looking for a photographer, we made a tier list. After lots of weeding out of mediocre photographers, we narrowed our selections down to two. We resolved to contact the last two to see which one we wanted to go with. From the minute I first met Avery on zoom, I knew that I wanted to work with him. Not only are his photos phenomenal and extremely cinematic, they are somehow able to tell a story in the photo. I felt moved looking at some of his albums and I wondered how he was able to do that. When we actually got to working with him on our wedding day, I understood his process: He actually knows how to pose a model and gives clear instructions on where to put your hand, when to tilt head down, where to look, etc. This is what I was specifically looking for, as I've had some photographers who were just 'okay' that snapped away but gave no direction as to what to do. I think this is the mark of an excellent photographer and one who has clearly done many weddings. My butt looks great in all the photos. :) Also, I feel like I would qualify as a quirky bride, and he totally embraced that and took photos of my multiple plushies. That's a 100 in my book.”

Sarah went above and beyond to help my husband and I in what can only be described as a spiral of unfortunate events. We were set to be married in December in Ohio when 11 days from our big day our venue burnt down. Very long story short..we decided to take our family and some of our friends down to the smoky mountains to get eloped to keep our original date because that’s where we got engaged. Sarah was my guardian angel. In less then 10 days She found us a open venue that would give us a time slot for a small ceremony! She put out posts to locals to help me find a hair/makeup team and a videographer on a very limited timeline. She calmed me down when two hair/makeup teams canceled on me the day before and the day of. Not to mention she fought crazy weather (that day the south had the biggest line of tornadoes in history) and literally kept me laughing through every single let down. Her, my best friend and I rode out the craziness of the day together. Most of all through hell and high water..she was there to capture what was left of my original wedding day. So down the road I could have memories to show my kids. And she’s agreed to continue to capture the moments this year at our redo wedding in Ohio. She’s literally the best. She’s not just my photog.
