“Lacie captured moments that took my breath away. Her style and skill is every bride’s dream. She delivers everything you adore from those Pinterest and Instagram wedding photos. So there is no question she can deliver what she is looking for. And we are beyond thrilled with all of our photos. The sneak peeks are also so much fun (she sends a batch of photos shortly after she shoots you). But where Lacie shines and what I have to tell you about is everything else. She truly went above and beyond. She’s not just a photographer, she’ll be one of your favorite people on your special day. Yes, Lacie is kind and friendly and comforting and just the kind of person you need on your wedding day (and who you wished you roomed with in college). But she is so much more. Here are just some of the few meaningful things Lacie did that I noticed that I’ll forever carry with me. Firstly, I had a very important rosary I wanted to photograph, and with the chaos, I had forgotten. It would have broken my heart if I left it behind. Lacie remembered. I got fixated on an insignificant hiccup on my wedding day that could have ruined my day. Lacie redirected my attention to the things that really mattered and brightened up my mood immediately. Leading up to the wedding, Lacie advocated for me and my husband ensuring us she was fully dedicated to only us on the day, literally saying “You and Sean are my priority.” Nobody and nothing would take her attention away from us. She was always quick to respond to texts, I could go to her for quick wedding advice, and she’s genuinely so passionate about her craft. Lacie could really be a wedding planner with how much she knows. Other vendors loved working with her, especially our videographers. She was so quick, efficient, and took initiative. She gave them space and skillfully took turns capturing moments with them. With a big wedding party and spacious venue, we kept losing track of people for pictures, Lacie corralled them masterfully. She’s not afraid to get people to focus and get the photos done, but also in the most polite and respectful way. I watched videos of brides saying I wish this or that moment was captured. Sometimes I’d forget whether I had those moments captured myself. Then I go to Lacie’s photos and every single thing that brides mentioned got missed by their photographer she captured for me. Her vibe! She’s so positive and cheery. I was so nervous and also worried about how dark my church was. She got me excited about it after turning it into a positive saying it would look like the theater and she could absolutely work with it. I texted her a shoot list the night before our wedding. She carried that around and took it so seriously making sure she captured everything I listed. I made a Pinterest board of photos I liked and she remembered ones I forgot I included in there. She was my favorite vendor (tied with my incredible florist @dazyflorals) and the vendor I had no worries about it. I didn’t have to check in with her. I could trust her with my eyes closed. She’d be where she needed to be on time, professional, and prepared. I’m going to miss her. Sign her and soak up her sunshine for me, will ya?”

We are CityLux Studios - a husband + wife founded photography team. Boston is our home but we love to travel and can often be found in New York, Newport and Florida. We photograph a variety of portrait sessions from marriage proposals to weddings, elopements and boudoir. Sarah's passion for raw emotion + Peter's strong attention to detail blend to make an unmatched experience for each client. It's so important that we make each of our couples feel confident, comfortable and completely at ease.

She was so fun to work with and truly made this experience so wonderful. My fiancé hates getting pictures done and he even said he had such a great time. I am getting married back home in Iowa and was originally only going to use CityLux for engagement photos, however, it was such an incredible experience we are going to use them for our wedding next year. I can’t imagine having anyone else shoot our wedding. I felt so comfortable and she was able to truly capture the love in our relationship in photos. “Coco posed as a photographer who was taking photos in the gallery my art is in. When I showed up to the gallery she was taking photos of the gallery owner. In another life she must be an actor because I had no idea she was there for my engagement which made the surprise even better. Once the secret was out we walked from the gallery to the hotel and got photos on the street. She was open to any and all suggestions and easily let us pivot from outdoor photos to inside because of how cold we were. Also, the photos were amazing. She took photos during our surprise brunch as well and did a great job at capturing the candid moments and staying hidden so that we didn’t feel like our brunch was a photoshoot. She’s also just incredibly kind and was a great addition to the day. Plus, our photo turn around time was extremely fast. 10/10. Thank you Coco!”
