Liesel was communicative and professional in her response to my initial inquiry, and the survey/questionnaire that was sent to me helped me and my bridesmaids start thinking about what we wanted style-wise. Andrea and Karla did both my bridal trial and were our day of artists – and they were both truly wonderful. For the trial – I was offered a variety of options and I really felt like the look I ended up with was something that was truly me and that would last all day (I'm an easy crier). The team also provided great logistics info like start times and when to be ready so that we had a realistic timeline to get everything done for a first look at 2PM. They also worked really well with my florist – who was providing a floral hairpiece, and worked the floral arrival time into the timeline. Day of – Andrea and Karla were wonderful. They moved through 7 hair services and 5 makeup services, they even ran early, and everyone looked so beautiful! They were also super fun, and we had a great time chatting throughout the morning. The mood was great to say the least. My hair stayed in place until the end of the night when I took it out around midnight, and the same thing with my makeup. Everything stayed exactly as it was, no movement, no running, no smearing – which was just incredible because not only did I walk around in some light rain but it was also quite warm AND I cried several times. So – absolute kudos to this team, I can’t recommend them highly enough!”

“Writing reviews was the last things I had on my big ol wedding to-do list. I mostly put it off because I truly did not know how to put into words how perfect most of my vendors were. Jessica was no short of perfection. She was incredibly easy to schedule with, chat with about what I wanted, and offered up advice on all things beauty. Her package deal is incredible, her pre wedding face kit is amazing, her touch up kit is still use to this day, and her own facial products are some of my faves. I didn’t have “mini facial” on my wedding morning timeline but omfg I would tell every bride it’s absolutely necessary. During my trial (at her adorable home studio!) we went in a traditional direction and 5 months later I asked her to pivot entirely and go foundation-less. I’d seen it on her Instagram page and was so impressed and oh man did she pull it off. I felt so natural (I’m not someone who usually wears anything but moisturizer and mascara) and to not have to wear foundation on my wedding day was such a relief. I felt so incredibly beautiful on my wedding day - and so did my bridesmaids. Jessica is worth. Every. Penny. “Last month I got married at The Sanctuary on Roosevelt Island, and I had the pleasure of working with Jackie Fanara, an artist from Melissa’s makeup team. She was an absolute joy to work with from start to finish- it felt like hanging out with an old friend! She is so incredible at making her clients feel comfortable, listened to, and pampered. She went completely above and beyond- when the bridal party was finishing photos outside and it started pouring, she got SOAKED while shielding my bridesmaids and making sure everyone was able to get safely from the park to the vehicles to inside the venue. She literally used herself as a shield and then proceeded to to help everyone get touch ups while they dried off- by the time the ceremony had started, no one would have had an idea that everyone had been rained on. By the end of the day, she was everyone’s best friend. She was an angel that day and I am so thankful she was my artist. If you’re looking for an incredibly talented artist who will charm you with her positive attitude and incredible sense of humor- Jackie is your gal. Special shout out to Tressa, who did the makeup for my mother in law and few other people’s on my husband’s side of the family- they all loved her and said that she made them feel so special!
