“Our wedding would not have been as great had we not had Mia helping us with the timeline of the event. We got married in Cartagena Colombia and our Colombian wedding planner failed to properly plan our wedding. With a number of vendors asking us a week before the wedding for specifics, Mia came through. Mia met with us and helped us plan our wedding day minute by minute. The timeline she gave us was so detailed that everything went smoothly without having a planner present. The vendors in Colombia were impressed with the amount of detail they were given in the timeline. “Shanna is fantastic at what she does! Shanna helped me organize my wedding trip to Costa Rica and helped insure my guests had an enjoyable stay. From day one Shanna was communicative about the level of services she offered from helping secure a room block to assisting in planning the entire wedding! I had Shanna help me contact Planet Hollywood Resort in Costa Rica and asked to have 20 rooms reserved for my guests. Shanna got a contract from the hotel and walked me through all of the wording and what I was signing for. I felt safe knowing that Shanna was looking out for mine and my guests best interests. Shanna also allowed my guests to have flexible payment options, so they had plenty of time to pay off their trip before leaving. Shanna also set up a website where my guests could download all of their travel documents and important paperwork, and could easily contact her via the app if they had any questions or concerns. She was very prompt with her replies and my guests really appreciated that. When my husband and I originally booked our stay, we opted for a junior suite room as it was more affordable and we figured it wouldn’t be used too often. Shanna offered us an upgraded room to Star Class (which is a luxury suite) for no additional charge! The room was better than we could ever have imagined. So spacious and the bathroom was a dream! My husband used our room with his groomsmen for them to get ready before the wedding and they had plenty of space for pictures, snacking and hanging out! The night before our wedding we had organize a bbq on the beach for our guests. With the weather turning and becoming quite windy we were told we would need to move it indoors. Without hesitation, once Shanna received this note from the resort she contacted our guests through the app to make them aware of the change in location. This helped my husband and myself immensely, as we didn’t have to worry about reaching out to guests ourselves to let them know about the venue change. From start to finish I never had any doubt that I would enjoy my trip. I am eternally grateful for Shanna’s expertise and thoughtfulness. She truly cares about her brides and does a terrific job.”

“I found Alexa on the Knot and booked her for Monarch’s full wedding planning package as my husband & I were planning a wedding outside of Chicago in an unconventional venue, 9 months away, and lived in another state. It was a big challenge but from the initial consultation, we loved Alexa’s energy, organization, commitment and just knew we could trust her with our once in a lifetime event. The planning process was extremely organized, thorough and well-paced. She matched my attention to detail, tackled unplanned challenges with ferocity (which included a limited selection of vendors given the location of our venue) and was as dedicated to bringing my very specific vision to life as I was. She brought great vendor recommendations and connections and did countless hours of research on new vendors. Details were well-documented and thoroughly discussed to ensure all parties were aligned. Even though our venue was farther outside Chicago (Indiana), she ran several venue walkthroughs in-person, attended vendor visits with me, and always accommodated my husband and I’s busy schedule. As Alexa started to step away for her maternity leave (which started right before our wedding date), she did an amazing job ensuring her team was fully prepared to handle last minute preparations and day-of responsibilities. The day-of team of 3 were awesome with completely handling all details A-Z so I didn’t have to worry about anything, even despite some last minute changes due to weather! Due to the complexity of our venue, its location, short timeline, and being from out-of-state, we are SO GLAD we booked Monarch for their full planning package and had the privilege of working with Alexa! It was sincerely our pleasure to have her bring our special day to life, she was a joy to work with and get to know. If I were getting married again, I’d book her services again no question!
