We, Jame and Eva, started Nitty Gritty Gardens in 2019 with a dream of pursuing our love of farming and flowers. We started by selling our flowers at farmers markets and branched out to weddings and other special events to share our love with others and to be a part of their special day! Brin’s Posy is named after my beloved dog. She passed away unexpectedly a few years ago, leaving myself and her pup sister (Abby) to figure out life without her. We were months of grieving her loss when a close friend insisted I channel the grief energy into something positive. A bell went off in my head as my current job as a florist in a far away town was coming to an end. Brin’s Posy helped me come to terms with the loss. I still have Abby (the shop girl) in the shop daily and occasionally out to our farm venues! We love to source local and work with community members.

As I prepare for my own wedding in April of next year, I was taken aback by the exorbitant costs associated with floral arrangements.
