“My husband and I recently got married September 2023 at Hotel Providence in Rhode Island. Planning a wedding was one of the hardest things I ever had to do in my life. Finding the perfect vendor for each part of your wedding is hard. I spent many many days privately messaging people and trying to see who fits what I need for this day. I came down to the DJ. I found Josh of D and J entertainment. I read all his positive reviews and decided to give him a call. He without hesitation answered all my questions and drove from Massachusetts to Rhode Island to meet with us. Josh hands down is one of the coolest people you can talk to. He is very honest but in a good way. He lets you know was popular with weddings now and helps you out his spin on it. Josh’ company has amazing pricing. They are able to accommodate all weddings. With so much you have to pay for on this day it’s nice paying someone and feeling like your money is actually going to be used well with him. They arrived hours before the ceremony to set up. The hotel loved the company too and how polite they were. Josh came prepared with all the music we requested to hear that day. From the minute we walked down the isle to when everyone left. Josh kept playing amazing music. All night I wasn’t let down once by the song choice. In some areas the venue messed up on a few things. Example the cake cutting and first dance. The hotel really didn’t nail timing so josh Took complete control of the wedding and saved it truly. He made sure my cake cutting and first dance were memorable because the hotel slipped with this. Nothing like a DJ who saves the day too. The best part of it all while DJing Josh found time to take so many photos. He wasn’t asked or required to do so. He took it upon himself to take more professional photos for us. That’s what I call above and beyond. Couldn’t believe he went that far out of his way for us. He realizes the importance of weddings, despite how many he's done - and he took extra care in making ours special, memorable and personalized. There is no doubt he knows what he's doing, and he makes sure everyone is happy and having a great time. Not only does he take care of absolutely everything - he goes FAR above and beyond. We had my now sister-in-law and her husband sing our first dance song (they traveled from out of town) and Graeme was able to arrange a guitar to make it extra special and perfect - convenience for everyone! I also didn't know what my first dance song would be with my dad, because my dad was adamant about surprising me and ended up creating a "mash-up" of special songs from my childhood, and was only able to do this because of Graeme and his willingness to go above and beyond (and the "mash-up" was under 2 minutes, which I am SURE Graeme also helped direct ;) ) - Our wedding day simply would not have been the same without him. If you are looking for a DJ for your wedding, look NO further. From before the ceremony to "shutting the place down" he managed it flawlessly every step of the way and we are so thankful for him. “Brian is one of the best wedding DJs in the business. In the past two years I’ve been to eight different weddings. Brian was the DJ for three of the eight, and the party/reception component of the events was never more fun than when Brian was driving the bus. He is an east coast DJ, but he spun tracks at both of my sister-in-laws’ weddings and as we were searching for a DJ for our own wedding we reached out just to see what he would charge for a wedding in Chicago. Turns out the price was right. Brian traveled to Chicago, MC’d our entire wedding, brought all of the equipment necessary and made our day exceptional in every way. I think there are a few things that really set Brian apart from other wedding DJs. Anyone can stand there and run through a playlist, but Brian went off book a few times to match and capture the energy of the guests. As we were in the midst of the planning process he added zero stress, and just calmly walked us through the process of selecting songs. He had suggestions and recommendations along the way. He even brought an extra speaker so that we could plug our digital piano in and the pianist would be able to play loudly enough. Overall, we can’t recommend Brian highly enough. You will not regret choosing him to DJ at your wedding, party, event. Whatever it is, Brian is a huge value add and a pleasure to work with.”

Arthur did a great job with the ceremony and cocktail hour, and managed a tricky parent dance section (multiple sets of parents & timing!) We requested a Taylor Swift mashup and he exceeded expectations and made it the highlight of our night. The dance floor was always packed, and Arthur did a great job of taking into account our requests while playing music everyone would enjoy. We opted to use uplighting as well, which looked beautiful during dinner (we chose a warm lighting) and was so fun for the dance floor with flashing lights. By the end of the night, he even had guests asking him to travel to Texas to DJ their wedding! Booking DJ Thrilla was one of the best vendor decisions we made for our wedding and we could not recommend him more!”

“If we could give The Hook Club more stars, we would! Let me get my one gripe out of the way at the top here: I’m pretty sure the only reason my now husband agreed to a wedding celebration was to hire The Hook Club after seeing them at a friend’s wedding before we met. It was the only part of the wedding planning process he felt truly passionate about from the jump – we knew we wanted them before we even had a venue or date and went so far as to clear our potential dates with them before booking anything else. Fast forward, and Dan made the band planning process so supported and seamless that my husband’s one job went off without a hitch. The problem? Despite me planning every other single little detail of our three-day wedding weekend, the first thing that every single guest complimented (and still raves above, 1 month later) was THE BAND! But in truth, we wouldn’t have it any other way. We are absolutely ecstatic with our choice of hiring The Hook Club for our wedding. We did acoustic guitars for the ceremony, sax and tracks for cocktail and band and DJ for reception. THC was outstanding to work with from the jump. Dan is a wealth of knowledge and organization, and brings a calm, cool, collected vibe through every step of the planning process. Not to mention, he’s a great musician who can come discuss timeline with you while also playing the base day of :D. The process THC uses to help plan is smooth and clear. The communication was great throughout – we knew what to expect from the first planning call all the way up to some adhoc timeline changes day of. The band has an extensive repertoire and was able to take in our song, vibe, and timeline requests while also using their extensive experience to guide us along the way. The music carried the vibe throughout the day – from guitars at the ceremony to sax and tracks leading through cocktail hour and a mix of dance sets, slow dances, and expert MC’ing on the dance floor, we couldn’t get enough. So much so, that we extended the end time of the event just to have more fun on the dance floor with THC! Everyone was so nice, supportive, energetic and just brought their outstandingly talented A game and the absolute best vibe. The band got out on the dance floor with us, led us in call and response and a little choreographed proud Mary moment. Our first dance song is not a very common song, not only did THC learn it for us, but they provided us a track of their composition beforehand so we could practice the dance. You’ll see in the pictures my face when I first heard them play it – completely awestruck! That was pretty much my inner face the entire rest of the night in their presence. I have so many fond memories of engaging with THC throughout our wedding. If I could do it again, I’d hire THC without a second thought.”
