Housed in a newly renovated 1930's brick schoolhouse, the Chehalem Cultural Center offers an historic authenticity that is rare among today’s modern venues. Built in 1928 as a community center, The Old Schoolhouse was constructed with donations of both finances and labor. In the 1950s it became a school and later continued to serve the community as a venue for roller skating nights, parties, and polling stations. Undergoing a complete renovation in 2014, The Old Schoolhouse has now been restored to serve its original purpose as a gathering spot for family and friends. Large windows surround the building, letting in natural light and the rustic yet charming interior is adaptable to any aesthetic. The Sanctuary Hall is a stunning, historical landmark in the heart of Portland's Arts District. Step back into time as you bask in the warm glow of 30' hand-made Povey Brothers stained glass installations and run your fingertips along the hand-carved 130 year old Douglas-Fir pews. The Hall's rounded and layered design allows for every wedding to feel like an intimate affair, be it seven people or 700. Beneath the Sanctuary Hall are many more multi-use rooms, including a banquet hall, commercial kitchen, chapel library, multiple dressing rooms. The venue is equipped with modern sound, lighting, and video capturing and streaming equipment. We have a fully functional pipe organ, one of the largest in Oregon, and a 7' Steinway Grand piano at your disposal. As an all-inclusive venue, we include staffing, setup, use of rentals (tables, chairs, linens, etc), clean-up, and an event specialist team to assist you with every package!

The Lachini Family believes that the vineyard is the wine. Our family-owned Estate winery and vineyard is located on the backdrop of the Chehalem Mountains in the heart of the Oregon’s North Willamette Valley. The 45 acre Lachini Estate Vineyard is located approximately 30 miles southwest of Portland. The south-facing gently-sloped terrain sets in the outlying foothills of Newberg, and is a part of the Chehalem Mountains A.V.A. Ron and Marianne purchased the property in 1998 and planted the first five acres with Pinot Noir (Pommard clone) in June of 1999 after clearing and natural site preparation. In the following seven growing seasons, we planted additional blocks that now entail just over 30.5 acres of planted Pinot Noir plus an additional one and a half acres of Chardonnay.
