Wedding cakes can range from $3–$15 per serving . Tiered cakes are more expensive than sheet cake styled cakes.

How should we cut our wedding cake?

Traditionally, you’d do a ceremonial cutting first, often holding hands on the knife. The caterer then takes the cake away and cuts it into slices to distribute to guests. If you’re slicing it up yourselves, take apart the tiers and cut them into small rectangles. Remember to wrap and freeze the top layer for your anniversary!

How should we transport our wedding cake?

Very carefully! Ideally, your cake will be delivered by your bakery, which should have plenty of experience transporting cakes. You can also purchase special boxes made to protect the tiers.

When should we order our wedding cake?

Set up tastings (the fun part!) around 7 months out. Once you’ve decided, place your order.

I had a very intimate/small wedding (15 people), and other bakers made me feel like my event wasn't worth their time and effort to make, but Natasha was so sweet and kind - made me feel like she genuinely wanted to make our day special. I especially loved that she offered a cake tasting for us even though we were only ordering a small 2-Tier cake. Other bakers refused to do a tasting unless I was intending to spend over 700. All of the flavors she offered were SOOOOO good! It was tough to choose one but we are beyond satisfied with the berry shortcake flavor Everyone at my wedding was so impressed by the cake. So clean, chic and timeless. She truly executed my vision from just the one inspiration picture. Unfortunately I did not get any clear pictures of the cake due to the dim lighting in the restaurant . My guests were also amazed how moist and tasty it was too (make sure to follow her recommendation to serve cake at room temperature to enjoy at its full potential). You can really feel the love, time and effort she puts into her work!!! A TRUE TALENT. She was very honest and reasonable when it came to pricing as well! From afar, I thought she found real florals to decorate the desserts with or something. Only up close could you tell it was her carefully and gorgeously crafted work. Her broad menu and offer to take requests made it so easy to build a well rounded menu that my husband and I, and our guests will remember for a very long time. We wound up having cupcakes, mini donuts, various cheesecakes, crumb cake and a small cutting cake. “End your dessert hunt here! Daniela was SO wonderful to work with and so very talented! We initially reached out to her for a wedding cake and ended up going with one of her smaller cake designs supplemented by an assortment of her dessert minis. We ordered extra dessert minis and had to-go boxes for our guests to take home as favors. I would definitely recommend ordering more than you think you need-they were such a hit and went much faster than we anticipated! We were blown away with how delicious everything was, and received so many compliments from our guests! We loved that all of her cake flavor pairings felt special and elevated, I had cake set aside for us to take home and ate two slices for breakfast the next day-SO GOOD! Her designs are absolutely stunning. I gave her some rough guidelines/inspiration and she ran with it and created the most gorgeous cake-better than any inspiration photo! Just amazing!”
