She listened to our concerns about getting some of our guests to dance and gave us a lot of great advice going into the wedding day, like adding dance floor props to get everyone engaged and adjusting our anniversary dance so everyone ends up on the dance floor. She worked with us and curated a great wedding playlist. Our guests complimented us on what a great DJ she was. Everyone loved seeing her behind the booth, dancing along with the guests. At one point, one of our guests dropped a glass and she played “Heart of Glass” right after, which was perfectly timed (lol). She really knew how to read the crowd and keep the energy up while still playing some of our silly requests. She curated a great mashup for the mother/son dance. My brother-in-law wanted to play a piece on a keyboard for part of his speech and Gemma worked with us in providing an amp so everyone could hear the piece. She even took videos during the ceremony and reception and shared them with me afterwards which is something I did not expect but was so grateful to have. I couldn’t recommend her enough!”

Ed has a great DJ website where you can add all the songs you like, as well as which songs you don’t want to hear (which is very important for me). He then creates amazing mixes with the songs and knows how to keep the party going. I was really happy he was able to find our first dance song, which is from the 1940s and not easy to stream from just anywhere (thank you!!!). The music selection process is easy - in addition to check-in calls and zooms, he uses an app, so you can build you can craft the perfect playlist ahead of time. We both really enjoyed adding songs to our app throughout the planning process. But the best was actually hearing the way he was able to combine so many of our favorite songs for our reception party. He had all our of guests (ages ranging from 10 to over 80 years old) dancing all night long. Our first comment from friends the day after our wedding was about how fun they had on the dance floor and how great the music was! I also think its important to add that Josh handled our wedding ceremony music, cocktail music, dinner music and sparkler exits as well- he provided mics, sounds systems, everything we needed, and all of those were executed perfectly. He was on time for set-up, very respectful of the rules/guidelines in places at our historic venue, and he collaborated really well with our other vendors to make sure everything looked and sounded perfect.
