Hi, I am MirShanda the owner and chef of Kismet's Cakes located in Decatur, Ga. Growing up with a love of all things sweet and beautiful I found myself seeking a way to express myself both in the kitchen and artistically. Eventually, I found a way to combine my love of pastry and art. I decided to enroll at the Art Institute of Atlanta where I earned my degree in Culinary Arts with a concentration in baking and pastry. After graduating I worked for a short time in a bakery located in the Buckhead area and then chose to go into my business for myself.

CEG Bakery opened 7 years ago in (ATL) Buckhead. We support private, corporate and charitable events in addition to the local community. Bakery offerings include a wide range of baked goods and custom desserts influenced by our Southern heritage and French culinary training. We believe in producing natural products using seasonal local produce and small batch baking to control quality. Our clients and community become family, so it is important to us for them to be a part of the creative process no matter the occasion. At CEG we value quality in food and quality in service. We strive to create an emotional experience through our food.

After pursuing a degree in fine art with a concentration in graphic design and working in the industry I took an opportunity to open a restaurant and market with my mom. As fate would have it, that business lead me to grow my baking skills and I later combined that with my desire to create fine art and started Gingerspice Bakery. Just as weddings are a team collaborative effort so is my process with you. I want to know what you love — what inspires you — to create something memorable and one of a kind for your dream wedding.

Jake’s was founded by three plucky folks in 1999 in Atlanta, Georgia. Each believed that Atlanta, and the world, needed a better choice for ice cream. After a lot of work, a lot of trial and error, and even a blazing fire, Jake’s was born. We have been in business for 20 years and we love love! Over the years we have helped customers get engaged and served their guest delicious ice cream at their reception. My name is Melanie Wideman and I am the owner and designer at A Little Slice of Heaven Bakery. I grew up in a family that prided itself in making delicious meals from scratch. As a child, I enjoyed helping my mother in the kitchen as she made her delicious pies and delectable pound cakes. My favorite tasks, after helping my mom get the baked goods in the oven, were licking the bowl and playing with the scraps of leftover pie dough to create unique ‘works of art’. I developed a passion for baking and cake decorating as an adult. The highlight of my career was my television premiere on the show Winner Cake All on Food Network.
