Elizabeth Birch worked with us to helped us achieve the perfect wedding of our dreams. From the beautifully landscaped ceremony, photo, and reception spaces, to the outstanding food and service, there was no detail overlooked. Elizabeth helped us coordinate the entire wedding long-distance. I was in Florida, and the bride was in Chicago. But with her guidance, we were able to coordinate the local vendors needed to pull off a dream wedding.

We got married at the Blue Dress Barn this summer and our entire wedding day was like a fairytale--we still can't get over how beautiful everything was. The greenery and grounds of the BDB are unmatched and our guests couldn't stop commenting on how beautiful everything was. Amelia is helpful and easy to work with and Georgia is lovely as well. The barn staff left the florals up on the arch and in the barn from the night before, which was such an incredible surprise because they were so gorgeous. The getting ready areas for the bridesmaids and groomsmen had so many beautiful & intentional details that made it so special for us. The venue is also well known by other vendors in the area as well since it's been around for so long (23 years!), and so working with our catering staff (Classic Catering), photography (Spencer Penfield) and DJ (DJ Jennefa) was a breeze. If we could do it all over again, we wouldn't change a single thing. We feel so grateful we were able to spend our favorite day with all of our friends and family at this beautiful venue! Thank you, Amelia!

In the last few months, the Pinstripes team was wonderful to work with and helped accommodate our changes in plans with COVID. Their staff is fun, energetic, and experts in event planning. We hosted our rehearsal dinner at Pinstripes this year in the cocktail room down by the beautiful river and we cannot wait to host our larger reception next year in the ballroom. The location (right next to Navy Pier) is optimal and the outside/inside flexibility was greatly appreciated. During and after our rehearsal dinner, our guests thanked us several times for the delicious food at Pinstripes. The event planning team has been great to work with --through tastings, room setup, and again, re-planning our entire event with COVID. If you're looking for a great location, delicious food, a rustic setup on the river, and a great planning team, look no further! Wedding planning is already quite time consuming and a few Pinstripes below alleviated so many of our stresses throughout: Jessica Randel has been very responsive and proactive throughout her time with us--we had to make significant changes to our plans due to COVID and she helped bring our new vision (keeping everyone as safe as possible while maximizing our rehearsal dinner experience). She's helped us change our 150 person wedding to an intimate rehearsal dinner gathering outside, expertly advised us on various dinner services and setup, helped us safely manage new Chicago COVID rules (that changed week to week), and during the week of she kept us abreast of the weather and proactively guided us into a stress-free scenario. We cannot wait to work with her next year as we reschedule our big wedding reception in the downstairs ballroom. My husband and I also cannot thank Sherry Kenny, Diana Grodecki, and Jeremy Hopkins enough for the excellent expertise and service-driven customer experience. Sherry, at Oakbrook Pinstripes, provided us invaluable advice as we were navigating our COVID change in plans and managing through the changing circumstances in Chicago. Diana worked with us during the early phases, making our wedding tasting and early planning experience with my family a blast. At our rehearsal dinner, Jeremy ensured that every one of our guests received the top food and drink service, that his staff took precautionary measures, and that everyone had a phenomenal time. These efforts on your wedding weekend make a huge difference and we couldn’t have been more happy with our rehearsal dinner evening. We cant wait to finalize our big wedding reception plans with them in 2021 and return for another great experience.

Osteria Via Stato is one of my favorite restaurants and it was a dream to have our wedding there! Natalie and her staff are easy to work with, they have great communication, knowledge, and experience. We loved the execution of our wedding by them, the ceremony was perfect for us, it was dreamy in their gorgeous dining room, but you would never guess it was a dining room with the way they set it up for the wedding. Our private room was perfect for our party of 55. We used farmhouse style tables and it was perfect for us as we didn’t want a dance floor. The servers there cannot be beat, they are all extremely experienced, friendly and happy to be there. They went above and beyond to ensure that me and my wife always had the first choice of everything and always had a drink in hand. I’ve been to many weddings where the food is fine or not desirable, but the food here was incredible! Going into this I knew it would be good but I didn’t know how delicious all the hors d’oeuvres would be. We couldn’t just pick a few we liked them all! And the entrees were delicious, every guest felt full and well fed!! We got comments from all of our guests about how great the food, venue and service were! Everyone was pleased and you don’t often find that from wedding venues. We loved having our wedding here and love that we can return whenever we please to celebrate special occasions!

I used AVEC for my daughter pre-wedding event for the family and close friends of the bride and husband. The staff at AVEC really made it a life time memorable experience to last for everyone. As for the reception, the appetizers/ hors-d’oeuvre was excellent. The open bar and the wine selection made a difference for those who attended. For the friends of my daughters, AVEC was one of the restaurant that they envied to dine at and the second floor atmosphere made it a unique experience. As for the sit down dinner for the family, it become a highlight for both family history. The wine selection for dinner was memorable and was an experience which cannot be replicated. The food was excellent and the how the family style serving provided an atmosphere for everyone closer and to become “one family”. In my mind , this was one of the top experience I have had including my time as working and living as a top executive in the Chicago area in the past 20 years. I have organized and attended dinner events for business but this experience at AVEC was the one I enjoyed the most and is ranked as my number one. I have to say that all dining experience, the staff at AVEC served us and others with a kind, friendly, and proactive way which led making the whole dining experience one that can not match by other restaurants in Chicago or anywhere around the world. As a Japanese we are used to high quality personalized services but AVEC in the West Loop is in our mind belongs in the top league worldwide. Lisa and her team are, hands down, the best group of people I have ever met and would hire them 100% again and again. Lisa ensured she understood what our vision was by asking thorough and detailed questions. She went above and beyond contacting our venue and all necessary vendors to make sure everything ran smoothly. If there was ever an issue, she solved it without worrying us. And the day of our wedding, several of our guests informed us how amazing her and her teams’ service, professionalism, and how invested she is… not to mention how delicious all the food was, requiring seconds and thirds!!! There aren’t enough words to explain how phenomenal Lisa and her team are and how if it weren’t for Lisa, we wouldn’t have had the wedding of our dreams come true.

The Hideout is a 100-year-old balloon-frame house, built in two days, still here a century later. Hammers pounding in nails faster than the city could tear it down. Built by workers at the end of the 19th Century, run by undocumented bootleggers and gin runners, running numbers, racing horses, making deals, and moving in the make.

Beatnik West Town is one of my favorite venues in Chicago -- and that says a lot as I am a Wedding Planner! The decor is jaw droppingly stunning, the food & drinks are of the best quality and taste unreal, and the Bonhomme Group team makes the planning/wedding day a breeze. It's the best spot to get married if you're looking to host a unique, beautifully designed wedding and/or if you're a foodie. I personally love the Bonhomme Group experience so much that I had my own micro wedding at Celeste, a sister venue to Beatnik West Town.

I worked with LNF for over a year to plan my dream wedding. We knew we wanted to go a little unconventional from the standard type of venue and let me say it PAID OFF. From the planning perspective: I want to give all my kudos to Brianna from the events team for everything she did! She was in constant communication with me about everything from food selections to reception layout and was so kind throughout the entire process. She helped me feel empowered with the decisions we were making and helped with monthly touch bases to go over details to weekly once we got close to the wedding. She made sure I had everything I needed and helped make our vision come to life! From the venue/event perspective: Our guests are still raving about this wedding two weeks out. The family style entrees gave everyone more than enough food that was delicious and the bar staff was getting into the party with us as much as we were! Everyone was attended to in a timely manner and the entire staff played a huge role in making the night so welcoming and engaging. The layout worked perfectly for our group, too. The garden transformed into our dance floor that easily fit all of our guests together and the rooftop served as such a unique and beautiful setting for our ceremony. I truthfully don’t have enough positive things to say about the staff and the venue. Not to mention that the pricing for our event was all inclusive (bar, food, venue, DJ, decor, etc.) which made it super easy to keep track of everything and was also WAY more affordable than other venues within the area. Thank you, LNF, for the best experience I could’ve asked for going into my big day!
