He's incredibly responsive and thoughtful and helped us think through a vision for the evening. He had great recommendations for food and drink that felt personal to our taste as a couple. His ability to think big-picture AND attend to the smallest details made for an incredibly smooth planning process and sensational wedding day. Our guests loved the industrial vibe of the garage bay and the farmhouse/tavern feel of the interior rooms - the best of both worlds! When speeches went long during dinner, Al worked with us in the moment to adjust our timeline so we could maximize time on the dance floor. Al doesn't miss a beat. Sylvanside Farm was our first and only venue visit for our daughter’s wedding. The beautiful grounds and historical buildings on the farm made it an easy decision for us all. The owners, Terri and Jeff, have restored their property with utmost respect to its historical charm. Having on site lodging allowed both families to spend quality time together and hosting the rehearsal dinner on site made for an all around relaxing weekend. The curated list of preferred vendors, which Sylvanside provides, was very helpful and each vendor that we selected from their list was top notch. Terri and Jeff were very accommodating and responsive throughout the planning process and I highly recommend their venue for your special day.

As soon as we took a tour of the Atrium, we knew this was the perfect spot to get married. The gardens are beautiful, and the inside the building the glass walls, plants, and little river give an airy and natural feel. I didn't worry about rain because you feel like you're outside even when you're in. When guests got too hot on the dance floor, they could go out and socialize on the patio overlooking the gardens in the cool night air. Given the meal prices for comparable venues, this venue is GREAT VALUE!! The food was great and the guests were happy. There were a couple small things that might be helpful to share, though. Our point of contact changed several times in the span of our engagement and there was sometimes a delay in communication. Also, the venue was marketed as a capacity of 200 people but it is better suited to weddings of 160-180 guests. When you go over 180, you have to choose some guests to seat in a room that feels divided by the little stream which is awkward. Also, there is no space for getting ready so brides and bridesmaids have to get ready off-site. Overall, I was overjoyed with having my wedding day here and I think for the price we still had an incredible experience. I don't regret it at all!!

We have thrown multiple parties various times of the year for the last several years. My favorite venue is the Hyatt Regency Tysons Corner; hence, why we have planned several of our events there. The event sales managers and staff are so PROFESSIONAL and WONDERFUL. The venue is GORGEOUS. The event sales managers actually attend your event, which is a nice personal touch that other hotels/venues don't offer. I've personally worked with 2 of the event sales managers, and I have to say both went above and beyond my expectation to ensure our events were "perfect". They need a 10-star rating! So, I was on TikTok looking for bridal shower places when I stumbled upon this beauty. So, I asked my fiancé at the time, if you know me then what you know about this place? He said, you like it because it has all those crystals and chandeliers! I instantly hit the contact us button. I began communicating with Pura who was very personable. I said OK let me go look at these reviews. I went on every page I knew that had reviews and they were 5-star no complaints. I said well let me book to go see it in person because pictures can be deceiving. We scheduled a tour of the event and when I tell you this place can't be touched with a 10 foot pole. I have not found a Venue yet that can TOP this one. From the time you walk in, to the ballrooms, the best dressing area and even the bathrooms are so clean you can eat off the food (not that you would but that's how clean and neat the place is). Pura thanks for all the phone messages day or night one thing for sure she was never too busy to get back with me. She was very accommodating. Farah the decor was gorgeous. Andrea thanks for pulling things together as the coordinator alongside Pura. Every time I visited; they made you feel welcomed. My family talked about the level of hospitality that you all provided at the rehearsal and wedding. They made sure all my vendors were in place to take the stress off of me on my wedding day. The overall service gives you royal and rich vibes.

The American Legion Post 177 was the perfect venue for our wedding. From the initial in-person contract meeting to the rest of our communication via phone and email, the staff was responsive and helpful every step of the way. They provided us with the best value around for a wedding venue. They even gave us extra space to set up a fun photo booth for our guests, which was a huge hit. This was my third time renting the venue, and the food was consistently good - my guests loved the BYOB option. They also accommodated my request to have a live band perform. The pricing was very reasonable, making this an ideal choice for our special day.

The actual wedding day was executed perfectly, with Margaret at the helm, which made the entire experience very special. We LOVED having our wedding at Woodend! Beatriz was so helpful and answered all of our questions, as well as keeping us updated as the tent set up changed over this past year. The new tent is gorgeous and the whole venue is so gorgeous, including the grounds! We were happy to keep our decor minimal and let the mansion’s beauty shine, and we got so many compliments on the venue’s set up of having the dance space (Main Hall) separated from the dinner seating (tent). We also loved Woodend’s gorgeous property, which really shined for our late October wedding. Would fully recommend considering Woodend for your wedding - plenty of parking, beautiful space, great team, and your venue fee goes to a great charitable cause.

My wife Brittany and I have had a fantastic and transformative experience dancing at Forever Dancing Ballroom! We found them at one of their open house events and immediately booked a package of lessons with Fabio for our wedding. Our dance lessons were always a fun break from wedding planning, and we left every dance lesson feeling better than we did when we walked in. It was exciting to learn new moves and choreography at every lesson. At first, we thought the techniques were difficult, but with practice and good coaching, we were able to learn the steps and perform a romantic and fun first dance at our wedding. It was thrilling to do our dance in front of such a supportive and enthusiastic crowd - we absolutely loved the magic moment of our first dance! My wife and I had a casual interest in dancing before we worked on the first dance with Fabio, but since then, we've become hooked and now we take group classes and have continued with private lessons as well. Jennifer Bonini manages the studio classes, billing, private lessons, events, and more. She is friendly, funny, and supportive, and very excellent at keeping everything organized. A talented dancer herself, Jennifer has also shared some excellent dance coaching with us from time to time. Other coaches at the studio are similarly personable and welcoming to all. Josephine Butler Parks Center (JPBC) is such a beautiful venue, we had our wedding there in November of 2024 and couldn’t have picked a better place. The entire process of venue selection can be daunting, and JBPC made it easy for us. We signed up for an initial walkthrough and fell in love with the history of the building, the unique layout, and the beautiful art and color schemes in each room. Steve guided us on our tour and answered all our questions, and we knew right away that this was where we wanted to hold our wedding. Taking several months to plan our wedding, we coordinated with JPBC staff to do two additional tours where they answered even more questions and allowed us to see what different lighting configurations looked like and make measurements to finalize our configuration for the big day. For the reception, we decided to seat our guests in the main ballroom, have the dance floor on the second floor foyer, place the bar out on the balcony, and serve the buffet and cake in the south gallery. Seating was a little tight in the main ballroom, as we had our 140 guests sit at fifteen round tables that were 5 feet in diameter, with a sweetheart table by the larger fireplace. But we made it work and it was a fantastic day for us overall!

We picked Clyde’s because the location was close to my church, where we did the ceremony, and because it was one of the few venues in that radius that fit our budget. I picked Clyde’s for practical reasons and looking back I couldn’t have made a better choice. I always knew I wanted my wedding reception to be fun and relaxed and have plenty of good food and drinks for my guests. Clyde’s so fit the bill. First, the food is simple yet delicious. We already knew that from dining there, and the tasting confirmed it. We were able to make menu choices to please everyone. Second, our room was beautiful and uniquely decorated and that makes a fun atmosphere. It was large enough to fit all our guests and have room to dance (we had about 50 people, but could have fit more in the room.) finally, the service was exceptional - all our guests commented on how great the servers and bartenders were at their jobs. We felt so welcome. The event staff went above and beyond to work with me to decorate and set tables to my specifications. If you are considering Clyde’s, I highly recommend them. DC wedding venues are expensive and Clyde’s was one of the few places we could afford, but even if our budget was higher, I couldn’t imagine a better experience.
