  • Not for you if you prefer a more modern aesthetic
We just had our wedding here this past weekend and wanted to write this review while everything was still fresh in our minds (albeit a bit blurry still!) because the team at South Farms was so amazing and we are so grateful to them. We live in NYC and planning a wedding while out of state seemed a little daunting, but the whole team here is so professional, responsive, friendly and welcoming that we felt comfortable we'd be able to plan from afar. We really wanted an outdoor element to our wedding while still having modern amenities and South Farms was the only place that checked all of our boxes with its beautiful fields, mix of indoor/outdoor spaces, interesting history and features, exposed beams, modern bathrooms, temperature control, and a charming indoor/rain option. The spaces all have great bones with a lot of room to make things personal and unique, and we felt the staff was really open to working with us to achieve our particular aesthetic. Jennifer was very accommodating in the beginning with scheduling our tour and answering our initial questions, and as we got closer to the wedding we met our venue coordinator Sam, who is amazing. She kept us on track, was super friendly (and patient with our thousand questions, details and project ideas) and we always felt confident that things were going to go smoothly on our day no matter the situation. We felt pretty organized and on top of everything as the day was getting closer, but so many small things come up that you can't predict and Sam was calm and on top of everything - we are so grateful to her and the rest of the team that worked on our wedding day. No matter how well you prepare, the day moves fast, and you need a vendor team you trust. Not only was all of South Farms dependable, but most of our vendors were from their preferred list, and everything was executed exactly how we imagined. Even working within their preferred list, we still had lots of choices to personalize everything from the caterer, to the lighting, to the decor. All of our guests complimented how beautiful and unique the space was, and how well executed all of our details were (which is thanks to the SF team). There is probably a lot more we can say about our experience here, but we highly recommend this venue, and are already wondering how we can host another party at South Farms someday.

We had a fantastic experience with Ravel. Everyone was exceptionally communicative and accommodating throughout the process and on the day of, especially our coordinator Eman. She stood out as a queen of logistics and made me feel like the planning process was always under control. The bridal assistant, Jade, was fantastic to have nearby on the day of, and Joe, who handled setup, was also a standout. Our guests raved about the food and the view. Overall, the aesthetic of the venue was an incredibly backdrop to our photos, and it really set the tone we were hoping for. Our reception was in the penthouse, and the glittering skyline really made the party feel sophisticated and chic, and unlike any other wedding I’ve been to. We ended up with 150 guests, and the room felt full in a lively way without ever being overcrowded. We had some concerns about the hotel after reading reviews, and those concerns were promptly alleviated. They even upgraded our room to the top suite, which was the perfect size for 9 women to get ready on the day of. Would definitely recommend this venue, especially a reception in the penthouse if it fits your guest count.

Where to begin...from the first time we met with Angie (the events director) all the way to our wedding day, she and the rest of the staff blew right past any expectations we could ever have and literally delivered our dream wedding. Our guests raved about how much fun they had and it cannot be overstated how much of that is due to the incredible atmosphere of the venue and the amazing people working there. They just made everything so easy. It goes without saying that Threes has top-notch beers, wine and cocktails that kept us and our guests very happy, but we have to give a special shoutout to THE FOOD. We opted for the Gotham Smash Burger (with an option for an Impossible patty for vegetarian/vegan guests) as our entree and I had multiple people tell me it was the best food they'd ever had at a wedding, the best kale caesar salad they'd ever had period, and one of the vegetarian guests told me it was the best veggie burger she'd ever had in her life. Threes at Franklin Kent could not have been a more perfect place for our wedding. Our guests had a blast and we were able to comfortably fit about 50 in the back room and there was room for a few more if needed. 10/10 would recommend Madeline's for any after parties, welcome parties or otherwise.

We had the most incredible experience hosting our wedding at Brooklyn Winery, and I can’t rave enough about how perfect everything was! From the moment we stepped into the venue, we knew it was the perfect place to celebrate our big day. The ambiance at Brooklyn Winery is absolutely stunning—charming, intimate, and full of character, with its rustic yet elegant vibe that made our wedding feel truly special. The space itself is beautiful, and we received countless compliments from our guests on how unique and unforgettable the venue was. It set the most perfect tone for the celebration. A huge shout-out to Miranda, our event manager, who was nothing short of amazing throughout the entire planning process. From our first meeting to the wedding day itself, Miranda was incredibly detail-oriented, organized, and genuinely invested in making sure everything went smoothly. She was there every step of the way, taking care of all the little things and answering all our questions with patience and professionalism. She made sure our vision came to life seamlessly, and we felt completely at ease knowing we were in such capable hands. The food was another highlight that our guests cannot stop talking about. Brooklyn Winery's culinary team knocked it out of the park, and so many of our guests said it was the best wedding food they've ever had! The dishes were delicious, beautifully presented, and truly elevated the overall experience. The pairing of food and wine was just perfect, and it felt so fitting for the venue itself. One of the things that truly sets Brooklyn Winery apart is how they take care of every detail—big and small. They made the entire planning process easy and stress-free, from the initial consultation to the final execution. Miranda and the team ensured that everything was coordinated perfectly, so we could focus on enjoying our day rather than worrying about logistics. We honestly can’t recommend Brooklyn Winery enough! Our wedding was a dream come true, and we’ve had so many guests tell us it was one of the best weddings they’ve ever attended. If you’re looking for a venue with amazing food, beautiful ambiance, and a team that goes above and beyond, look no further. Where to even begin! First off, my wife and I had a fairly large wedding for NYC, roughly 200 people, so when we started to look at venues, we were so nervous about what we would find. Rule of Thids was actually the first venue we saw, and we were blown away by the space. If you’re renting out the full venue, you get access to the entire restaurant, plus the event space, as well as the outdoor area. It makes the flow of the wedding so nice, so everyone wasn’t crammed into one space as they were trying to flip it for the ceremony, dinner, and dancing. We were also able to rent out the photo studio attached to the sake shop to get ready in, so we were on-site all day, which was AMAZING. We could easily discuss things with our day-of coordinator, florist, etc., and the space was so large and had impeccable light (our makeup artist and hair stylist were super happy with it!). We chose to use the venue coordinator, Julie, as our day of coordinator, and we cannot say enough good things about her. She was incredibly responsive, super organized, and comes from the wedding industry, so she brought up things that we didn’t even think to consider for the day of that were so helpful. Beyond that, she was so pleasant to work with and just had an amazing, chill vibe that everyone wants from their coordinator on the wedding day. It was also amazing that she works at the venue, so she knew all the ins and outs of the space and could easily coordinate with our other vendors. She helped ensure the bridal party was in the right places at the right time, moved people from room to room when needed, and helped us stay on track with the flow of the wedding, which was perfect and so seamless. She and the ROT team set up the entire space exactly as we envisioned, and everything looked beautiful! The venue is honestly perfect for a wedding. We were able to use private dining spaces in the venue for a photobooth and coat closet, plenty of bathrooms (not something you think about until you go to a wedding with too few!), an amazing outdoor space for guests to cool down/get away from the noise, a huge dance floor area, spacious dining room, and so many bars for our guests to go to. The staff were all amazing, endlessly refilling drinks and food, and everyone was incredibly nice. Even after all of the amazing things above, the best part about Rule of Thirds is the food. From the cocktail hour to the dessert, this food is amazing and well beyond typical wedding standards. We had so many guests tell us how good everything was, and we were told this was the first wedding at the venue where every single canape and raw bar item was eaten, so our guests were very happy! (if you can, splurge on the raw bar because it was so good!!) After the ceremony, they set up a spot for us to sample all the canapes and raw bar items, which we were super thankful for since we would never have eaten anything otherwise. We also had a very specific request for a mazeman noodle dish we had eaten when we toured the space a year prior, and the chef and team made it happen for us, which was AMAZING and so incredibly delicious. If you’re looking for a wedding venue and considering Rule of Thirds, DO IT! We wish we could relive the day all over again because it was so amazing, and we will forever be hoping someone else we know gets married here so we can experience something similar again.
