    One of my favorite things about hosting groupmuse musicians is from the first moments of a concert when you realize the talent and professionalism of the musicians. It has taken my breath away. To see the joy these artists bring to neighbors and new friends continues to inspire me to host them again and again.

    My partner and I discovered the utter magic of GROUPMUSE small musical performances less than one year ago - and we fell seriously in love with this superb way of bringing music up close and personal to ourselves and to our neighborhoods in San Francisco. The music is very low cost in a donation only, like from 5 to 20 for a single musician. Amazing when Symphony tix start at 100 and up? We have now attended 8 performances of superbly talented local musicians in a corner coffee shop, in the balcony seating 12 fir a tiny, romantic piano atalier, in an 40-seat art gallery, in the LGBTQ Center foyer — and we have hosted a musician 3 times at our small hime for keenly appreciative guests. We’ve even made new friends in our neighborhood! We convinced our branch library to provide a room AND find City arts funds to pay a musician and the library manager wants another concert this winter! It’s so easy and fun to host - and at no cost other than opening up your home or apartment to music and providing water and maybe a few light snacks if you want. Or invite a GROUPMUSE musician of your choice to perform at your 80th birthday party as I did —or at your wedding or graduation or for your parents 50 tieth anniversary! It’s stunning to sit five feet away from a harpist or pianist and actually hear every note and see the musician break out in smiles and dance in their chairs when they resonate to what they play and love! And chat with them afterwards. It really enhances music for my partner and I.
