Movies turned me into the ultimate romantic dreamer, leading me — an economics phd to quit academia and pursue my love for food, hospitality and events. Since then, I’ve made every kind of wedding magic happen for every kind of scenario you can imagine: from cinematic Bollywood-style extravaganzas at venues like The Bowery Hotel and St. Regis in Aspen, to more intimate celebrations at homes.

I love an unconventional wedding and truly believe that they should be a reflection of you. I thrive on getting to know you and what is important to you and ensuring those small details that hold meaning come to life on your wedding day.

Our wedding day was magical thanks to Seema!

My spouse and I found Seema on a website called Modern Rebel. We initially only hired Seema as a day of coordinator because we thought we could handle three separate events and a guest list of over 200 people. As one would expect, we quickly felt overwhelmed and asked Seema for her opinion on a few things. Seema took the initiative and offered to take certain things completely off our plate, which we were incredibly thankful for! Within the first couple of meetings, it was clear what a professional she is in the world of wedding prep, and so she took on the role of a planner for most of our entire wedding weekend. She helped us navigate with grace everything from the food, to flatware rentals, to itineraries, to a last minute snafu with our wedding decorator. My spouse and I also wanted to have a lot of personal touches for our wedding, including custom stage backdrops that we made ourselves, custom table name cards, a gift table, unique name cards for guests, a food truck, and much more. Anyone else may have told us to let go of a few ideas and simplify but not Seema! She was flexible, excited about our ideas, and best of all she pulled off all of our weird and creative silly ideas. If you are looking for a unique, personal wedding weekend that feels like YOU, Seema is the person who will cheer you on. Her team is also fantastic. Every person that Seema brought to work on our event was kind, attentive, and ensured that the events went well. At no point did our guests feel unattended to, and it really felt like the weekend could not have gone better. There were times it felt like she literally worked magic to make something happen, like when we needed a seating chart for the pre-wedding Sangeet because my spouse and I forgot to prep the file for her, and she got something drafted, printed, and on site looking beautiful and in the same color scheme as the rest of our materials on the day of the event (I still have no idea how she did that). I have so many lovely memories of the weekend and I feel so thankful to Seema and her team for that gift! In short, I can't say enough good things about Seema. It really felt like having a beloved family member helping us with our event, because you could tell that she cared just as much about the details as we did. (Warning, you may be susceptible to wanting to be her best friend by the end of your wedding too because she's just that cool). I would have complete faith in her to handle a wedding of any kind because she is just such an adaptable person and she will be your calm in the storm!

Seema did a truly outstanding job with our multicultural, double-ceremony wedding last month. Hiring her was one of the best decisions we made in the planning process and her support on the day-of and in the months leading up to the wedding was invaluable. She is incredibly kind, diligent and hard-working, and brings exactly the kind of calm, cheerful energy you want around on your wedding day. We had a fairly complicated wedding, with two ceremonies in one day at separate venues — an Indian/Hindu version in the morning followed by lunch, and a western version followed by a reception in the evening. There were a lot of moving parts and a pretty tight schedule, and I think Seema was really essential to how smoothly everything went, and how seamless the day felt for us and our guests. She was also hugely helpful with vendor communications before the wedding. After putting in so much time, effort and mental energy into wedding planning for the better part of a year, one big fear I had going into the day was that I would feel stressed and not actually enjoy myself that much. Looking back, it was such a fun day and I felt incredibly relaxed, and that was in huge part because I knew Seema was there, that she was on top of everything and that I trusted her to handle any hiccups. That is honestly the biggest gift you can give yourself on your wedding day — the ability to be in the moment and hand off all the details, timelines and logistics. I interviewed a few other coordinators before hiring Seema, and honestly felt like they all brought a sort of formulaic approach to the weddings they worked on. I never got that impression from Seema, and felt like she really personalized her work to us as a couple and made an effort to get to know us and understand what we wanted from the day. She is extremely responsive, was always prompt with things that needed to get done ahead of the wedding, and she and her two assistants were so helpful to have around on the day. Particularly with our morning/Hindu wedding venue (a major hotel chain whose events staff was very disorganized and difficult to get a hold of), I’m fairly confident that event would have been chaos if Seema and her team had not been there to wrangle people and guide them between locations. Lastly, she is just a fun person to talk to and I always felt better about wedding planning after a check-in with her! Would strongly recommend her to other couples!!

We cannot recommend Seema enough as a coordinator. We found her just a month before our wedding when we realized our venue wouldn’t be handling many of the responsibilities we’d originally been told they would (decor setup, breakdown, ceremony chairs, etc.) After interviewing a few candidates, we immediately felt most confident with Seema and hired her on the spot. From the start, she put us completely at ease with her incredible attention to detail, warmth, and kindness. We had been so stressed, and the day we met her, she took over emails to all our vendors, and I actually peacefully slept through the night for the first time in a week. Seema went above and beyond to ensure our day was exactly what we envisioned. Even when we were ready to throw money at problems, she took it upon herself to find cost-effective solutions for us. From the moment we met her, she took the reins, allowing us to relax. She facilitated meetings prior to our wedding, introduced herself to our vendors, and tied up every loose end to make sure the day went off without a hitch. When unexpected challenges arose on the wedding day (weather issues, vendor delays, and many more) Seema pivoted smoothly and kept everything on track with a cheerful, calm demeanor. Seema’s ability to keep us on schedule without being pushy was incredible. She gave gentle nudges when it was time to move guests to another room or make speeches, and by the end of the night, we had moved through our timeline stress-free. It was a dream to have someone take the reins so gracefully and discreetly. Seema truly was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding, and we are forever grateful for her hard work and dedication. We hope you have the same amazing experience!

Great question! A planner is usually with you from the start—helping you pick vendors, design your vibe, manage the budget, all of it. A coordinator comes in closer to the wedding (usually 45 days to 3 months out) to tie it all together. If you've already done most of the planning but want someone to take over the reins and run the show on the big day, that’s where I come in.

I mostly offer month-of-coordination or partial planning but am able to offer full service planning as well with enough notice. I offer flexible packages with an a la carte suite of services to tailor my services to your specific needs and vision.

The sooner the better! I typically book out several months (sometimes a year or more) in advance, especially for peak wedding season. If you're even thinking about hiring a coordinator, it's a good idea to reach out early so we can chat and lock in your date.

Yes, of course! I don't take on any weddings where I can't be there personally from start to finish.

Typically myself and one assistant. However, if there are a lot of moving parts or multiple venues involved, we can always add on additional assistants for a fee.

I am usually the first to arrive at whatever time the venue allows us to load-in. This is to ensure that all the vendors have access and whatever they need to get started. I am also usually the last to leave after ensuring that the venue is fully satisfied with the breakdown and that all items are returned to the right owners / locations. I am also often the person helping call ubers either for people to get to the after party or to get home :)!

You choose your own. Given my experience in this industry I am always happy to recommend and point you to vendors that I think will be a great fit and that have proven to be great collaborators. However, my coordination contract clearly states that I will never recommend a vendor for any personal or financial gain.

Yes and in fact, think of it as an important step so I know exactly what each vendor is responsible for on the day of. This ensures that the day runs smoothly without any confusion or missing pieces.

Absolutely. I’ll run your ceremony rehearsal (usually the day before) to make sure everyone knows where to stand, when to walk, and what to do. It's one of my favorite parts—seeing everyone get excited and feel confident for the big moment.

We have a long kickoff call soon after we sign a contract where we go over everything that you have planned so far and share links to everything that will help me understand your vision for the big day. We also use this time to have me ask you a bunch of questions that help me start putting together a draft timeline and flow for the day. Following that, I usually recommend at least a biweekly call in the beginning if we are still 3 months or more out and then move to weekly once we get closer. I am also very responsive via text and email for any quick questions that might pop up between scheduled meetings.

Absolutely. Unless, distance or other constraints make it impossible, I like to schedule a joint venue visit with you sooner rather than later so we are all on the same page and so the venue knows who to look for on the day of with any questions or concerns.

Absolutely. As a coordinator specializing in South Asian weddings with multiple ceremonies, I am very used to handling multiple locations as are the people that assist me. This also means that my strength is managing timelines that involve more variables such as travel time and traffic and I thrive on these complexities.

I totally get how important it is to have someone you trust running the show. In the rare event that I’m seriously ill or something unexpected comes up (which has never happened, by the way!), I have a trusted backup coordinator who’s fully briefed on your wedding and ready to step in. They’ll have all your timelines, vendor info, and notes, so everything will still run exactly how we planned. Your day is too important for anything to fall through the cracks—I’ve got a Plan B, just in case.

Yes—and not just any timeline. I’ll create a super detailed, easy-to-follow schedule for you, your wedding party, and your vendors. It keeps everyone on the same page and helps things flow smoothly, from hair & makeup to the final dance.
