We could not be happier we went with City and Terrace! As a couple with very hectic schedules, we knew our full-service wedding planner would be one of the most important choices we’d make. We interviewed more than a dozen planners to find someone who could help us establish a unique vision for our big day and also execute on it – all while keeping us on track despite our busy work lives. Lauren delivered all that and more. We chose to work with her because of her warm demeanor and organized strategy. She was thoughtful, budget-conscious, and took great care to help us bring our dream wedding day to life. We thoroughly enjoyed working with her and appreciated her flexibility given our limited free time. When the big day came she was in perfect form! Our wedding was everything we hoped it would be. We never felt like we had to lift a finger, even despite all the moving pieces and drama that can be associated with a big wedding (including, in our case, a last-minute rain storm!). City and Terrace was there so that we could enjoy our big day. Planning a wedding can be stressful, but with Lauren it was a joy!

We had our wedding May 2025 and started planning with the City & Terrace team 9 months ahead of time. If you're looking for a planner that is extremely thorough, detail-oriented, flexible, and goes above & beyond to make sure your big day goes seamlessly, look no further than Lauren & her team. We had a wedding that was highly personalized, unconventional in many ways, and demanding in terms of timelines, details, and aesthetics. Here are some ways the City & Terrace team went above & beyond to make our vision come to life: - Provided us with multiple scenarios & projected costs to consider in how to run reception since we were unconventionally catering from an independent restaurant that doesn't have wedding catering expertise. - Sourced Chinese porcelain tea jars from an independent supplier in Brooklyn to accomplish our very niche aesthetic demands. - Pulled a lot of strings with other vendors to buy us extra time and opportunities to see and review our tablescape design. - Our wedding day schedule was very tight with multiple activities planned down to the minute. Lauren always gave honest feedback and made sure to accommodate our requests to the best of her abilities. The City & Terrace team also did a great job in managing all of the cultural elements (Chinese & Cambodian) of our wedding that were new to them. Highly recommend City & Terrace for your next big event!

Let me start by saying my wedding was a tall order! I wanted a wedding that was gothic, elegant, Victorian-inspired, dark, and moody. We were going for gothic without it being “scare grandma” gothic! And to make it a step harder, our wedding was in a very modern looking building in Manhattan. And to make it even one step harder, my husband and I are based in Ireland. Lauren completely understood my vision and designed the most beautiful wedding I have ever seen. We had so many friends and family approach us about how beautiful the decor was, and even multiple members of staff and various vendors saying they have never seen the venue look so amazing. Her attention to detail is beyond phenomenal and everything is done with such thoughtfulness and due diligence. Lauren was so organised throughout the entire wedding planning process. She helped us look for the best vendors, she went to view different tablecloth landscapes and furniture when we couldn’t (again, we live abroad!) and kept me up to date every step of the way without bombarding us so we could continue to regulate life outside of wedding planning. I have recommended Lauren multiple times to newly engaged friends, and will continue to recommend City and Terrace in the future! You truly cannot get a better wedding planner who listens to the couples’ wants and needs, understands, and most importantly keeps you calm and organised through the chaotic planning process! Her attention to detail is phenomenal. I highly recommend.

City and Terrace Events, run by the incredibly responsive and professional Lauren and Ryan, were simply fantastic. They went above and beyond to get to know us leading up to our wedding, making us feel like our special day was of utmost importance to them. Their services were absolutely worth every penny spent. My husband and I used their month of coordinating services, and if we had known how amazing they would be, we would have opted for their full wedding planning services. They were the perfect coordinator for our wedding, ensuring that everything ran smoothly and that the entire process was well-organized. On the day of the wedding, even if we were aware of any minor issues, Lauren and Ryan were already one step ahead, having already resolved them. They truly took the stress out of our wedding and made it a magical experience. We highly recommend City and Terrace Events to anyone planning a wedding.
