Can’t overstate what an incredible experience we had with the Oviatt. Not only was the venue perfect for wedding, but the staff truly made the entire planning and day-of experience so smooth and welcoming. The space is gorgeous and one-of-a-kind - we didn’t have to decorate at all, there were so many little spaces and pockets guests to explore and mingle in, all the original art deco decor and furnishings were so cool. We didn’t have to add anything (but could have brought in outside rentals and vendors if we wanted) - the venue rental includes seating for the ceremony and reception, the rooftop lounge was fully furnished was lounge furniture, the terrace is already decorated with bistro lighting, twinkle lights and ivy walls, and there is lounge seating throughout the indoor space. Also included were cocktail tables, easels for signage, tables for our buffet set up. All of these things at other venues we looked at were either additional costs or we’d have to bring in additional vendors to supply. What really made the experience though was the Oviatt staff - Lindsey and Gabe are both so friendly, approachable, welcoming and supportive. Other venues we looked at were all business, had a “take it or leave it” vibe and kind of made us feel like we should be grateful for even to be given the chance to have an event there; Lindsey and Gabe were the exact opposite - they weren’t just trying to rent out a space, they were helping us host our wedding and doing everything they could to make sure our plans were realized. They provided us with so much information beyond what was required of them - they had a whole packet with a suggested timeline for planning, a Planning Pod tool that enabled us to track our vendors and plan out our floorplans and seating charts, lists of vendors we needed to consider and decisions we needed to make. Gabe had an actual meeting with us to discuss what we were looking for in a venue and our wedding, and have is all of this information we even booked the space. Lindsey followed up with us periodically in the months leading up to the wedding to remind us of what we needed to be taking care of and making sure we were on track. Both of them were always generous with their time answering our many questions and being flexible in accommodating our requests. We felt so supported and cared for throughout the entire process, and felt more like we had friends in our corner than like we were coordinating with a vendor. Truly cannot say enough about how wonderful this team is and how appreciative we are. We looked at practically every venue in the downtown/northeast LA area, and this one not only blew away the competition in what they offered, but it was also the most affordable option! It’s really like having the efficiency of an all-inclusive venue without the restrictions. And of course all of our guests loved it - we are still getting comments on how unique and beautiful the space was, and how much everyone enjoyed having so many different spaces to explore and congregate throughout the evening. Best decision we could have made.

When The Century advertisement popped up on my Facebook in December 2023, I knew I had to go and see it for my own eyes. A week later, I booked an appointment and first met with Crystal Brouwer. She gave me the tour, and I absolutely fell in love with the venue. Crystal was so patient, honest and understanding. I knew I had to book this venue, and lo and behold; May 25, 2024 was booked for me (and my fiance) of course. Then I met Tatiana Lopez. My coordinator, savior and all around superwoman. She coordinated our tasting, our floral appointments with decorations… I must have emailed her over 500 times. And she was so patient, understanding and she also alleviated any anxiety. All the small details, the big details, the details I didn’t even think of… she got it done! Chef Robert Root was in charge of our Buffett dinner. Our first tasting did not go as well, so we were able to do another one. Needless to say; the dinner was a success. (Guests would not stop complimenting the food.) The day of my wedding; Tatiana was there every step of the way. I would have forgotten to eat and drink if it weren’t for her! I blinked and I swear everything was going by so fast, and Tatiana was here to cue us and kept the timeline on track. Before I knew it, everything was packed and ready to go for us. It was all so flawless. And that is because of Tatiana! Thank you The Century team!l for making my wedding day dreams come true!

Grass Room

Los Angeles, CA
  • Up to 150 guests
  • Select services
  • Indoor & outdoor
  • Starts at $6,845
  • Offer

Grass Room is perhaps our most distinctive location and features a flowing 6,000-square-foot site plan designed for private events, courtyard weddings, receptions, exhibitions, productions and live performances. The venue is fully amenitized, and we provide experienced, professional site management plus a commercial kitchen for client-selected catering teams. Built in the 1920’s in an area that has long served as the city’s seafood market east of Downtown, the building has lived many lives in its century of use; it’s been a fish and oyster company, an ice cream factory, and a commercial site for everything from far east imports to marijuana cultivation. This quirky history subtly informed our re-invention of the space.

  • Private area for the wedding party
  • Provides lighting and sound
  • Lush gardens

Venue considerations

  • No in-house catering options
  • Does not provide event staff
  • Does not allow pets

The Grass Room is such an amazing space to host a wedding or any other special celebration. It's a literal concrete jungle—as it has an awesome tropical green house vibe, while being located in the heart of downtown LA. I had the pleasure of planning and coordinating a wedding here, and it was such a great experience from start to finish. Dana, Clare, and the rest of the Marvimon team made the whole planning process so seamless for me and my clients. The venue itself needs little to no decor, as it is gorgeous on its own—but we had a lot of fun personalizing it to create a fun and unique vibe for the bride and groom's special day. If you're looking for an original, out-of-the-box venue to host your next special event, look no further than the Grass Room DTLA! Uniquely stunning space, awesome staff, and nothing but good vibes!

I had the pleasure of planning and coordinating a recent wedding at SmogShoppe, and let me just say this venue is such a vibe! Working with Dana, Clare, and the rest of the Marvimon team again was such a joy, as they always make the whole planning process a breeze for myself, the bride and groom, and everyone involved in the big day. The venue itself is so unique, eclectic, and has a ton of character that little to no decor is needed. Dana, Clare, and Anika have been amazing from start to finish. When touring at venues to see which one we wanted to have our wedding at, Millwick hands down felt like home that even other Marvimon venues did not compare to this one which gave my husband and I the instant feeling. The price is solid for the amount of space and venue offering that you get. The fact that it comes with tables and chairs and a lot of furniture, a onsite kitchen, Site Managers, the best support you can get, some in house DJ offerings, and a bunch of other stuff. The Marvimon staff is top notch. They jump straight into helping you in any way they can and they do the most stellar job. We loved that they were so down to earth, understanding, and patient with us. They made us feel right at home. The great thing about Millwick is you do not need to dress up the venue much with all the greenery, its the perfect vibe you need for an intimate wedding celebration, it was definitely vibes for sure! There are so many amazing features about Millwick that I can go on and on but one thing that is a must is if you book Millwick you can hot iron brand press and mark your memory at the outdoor bar and it will be there forever! We did that during our design meeting with Clare and our wedding coordinator and it was so much fun, that on our wedding day our guests got to see it when they were waiting for their drinks, even our dog took a picture with it! Another unique thing is that they have a magnet wall for the seating chart and we used that to make polarid magnets of all our guests which was a huge hit! You can customize the image you want displayed on the projector or play videos, photos, etc. as well! Millwick allows your vision and creativity to come to life and the sky is the limit. Whatever you are envisioning, share it with Clare, Dana, and your wedding coordinator and they will be there to support you every step of the way and give you great tips! Their preferred vendors are seriously the best ever!! Majority of mine were from their list and they really made my wedding exceed all of my expectations, my husband and I both had one of the best night of our life because of Millwick, the Marvimon team, and all our amazing vendors who made our vision come to life to a whole another level of perfection!! Thank you Millwick!! We can't wait to visit you again!

The bridal suite was also spacious with lots of mirrors and outlets. We used the venue for both ceremony and reception. It was an easy transition going from one to the next. We worked with Shelly, the venue coordinator, and she was fabulous! Great communication from when we toured, booked, and up to our big day. The value for what we got was amazing as well! We did their all inclusive package and were happy with the price for all that we got: tables & chairs, bridal suite, catering, open bar, and DJ. Honestly, so great if you're on a budget or have a bigger budget and want to spend more on something like decor or florals. Highly recommend!!

Built in 1881, The Estate has been designated a historical site by the city of Orange. Seemingly untouched by time, this extraordinary property combines the natural landscape, rustic charm, and a dash of modern touch to become the picture-perfect backdrop for your dream wedding!

Why you'll love this venue

  • Full catering menu to choose from
  • Has a dance floor to dance the night away

Venue considerations

  • Best for events with big guest lists
My husband and I got married at the Estate 9.28.24 and I cannot begin to express how incredible of an experience it all was from beginning to end. The journey began last November when I started researching venues. The Estate popped up on my instagram and at a quick glance it looked like everything I was looking for. I really wanted a sort of “backyard” wedding but with a lot of personality. I requested to be sent more info and shortly after I got a call from Jovan who gave me a brief over view of what they offer. Now right off the bat it just seemed too good to be true. Ceremony and reception in one spot, ample parking, bride and groom getting ready suites, we could supply alcohol for the bar, DJ provided, catering included, super reasonably priced. We then booked a tour and I told myself to keep my mind open as this was going to be our very first tour of any potential venues. Well it took all about 20 minutes before I knew there was no way I’d be leaving without locking in a date. So then we locked in the date! Any question I had would be immediately responded to, Mimi and Jovan were totally on it. Then the big day finally came and everything was absolutely perfect. Decor is exactly where it needed to be, the flow of the ceremony was flawless, the DJ knew all the right ques, Yanel was SO attentive to my husband and I, always asking if we needed anything at all or bringing us a drink. I truly can say my day went perfectly without any issues. Like I went into it expecting a small hiccup, I mean something is always bound to happen that’s life. But nothing! It was all perfect!! I cannot recommend this venue enough. Mimi, Jovan, Yanel, Rigo were all just the most amazing human beings and I’m sad it’s all over. The venue is just stunning on its own and has TONS of picture opportunities. My photographer said it was his favorite he’s ever worked at because of that. Don’t wait, book a tour now. Their amazing team will make sure your day is perfect.

There are truly not enough words to describe how incredible Marvimon was as a wedding venue.
We had the wedding of our literal dreams — an all day affair that took place in both Valentine and Grass Room.

Dana (Event Director) deserves every award there is in the wedding/event category. We opted out of a wedding planner because we were pretty confident in putting it together ourselves but of course there was A LOT to figure out and hurdles faced along the way. But thanks to Dana and Marvimon’s phenomenal team, the end result was truly magical. Between the organization, attention to detail, genuine care, and the list of unbelievable, pre-approved vendors (including a BIPOC, women-owned, and queer specific list which is where we primarily sourced everything) we didn’t realize that we not only got the venue of our dreams but the support it came with was extremely valuable. Not to mention the beautiful furniture, foliage and overall interior aesthetic that was there which removed any need for renting additional pieces. Weddings are exciting but everyone who has planned or is in the middle of planning one knows they are massively stressful. That said, the Marvimon team (ESPECIALLY DANA) didn’t have us worried at all. They were one of the biggest reasons we were at ease and confident things were going to run smoothly which I’m happy to report they did with flying rainbow colors! 100/10 CANNOT recommend enough!
(We are already thinking about our vow renewal party at one of their other venue spaces - true story)

Our venue was absolutely gorgeous and exactly how we hoped and envisioned it would be for our special evening. The partitions were a game changer and definitely an extra special touch. Our guests had a plethora of compliments about all the different facets and how well every inch is utilized within the space. Also, all of the staff was amazing, from the start of our tour to the breakdown at the end of the wedding. The bartenders were especially awesome. We are also so happy we went with the wedding coordinator through the venue, Jillian. She was very friendly but still professional. She kept the night in a good flow and executed the transitions excellently considering ceremony, cocktail hour and reception were all in essentially the same space and she had 100 people to work around. She also made sure to check on us throughout the evening to make sure everything was good for us and if we needed anything. Overall, our experience was amazing, the venue was stunning and the evening was everything we dreamed of. So incredibly happy with our choice and highly recommend using Flora for any event, not just a wedding.

From start to finish, the experience was flawless — and so much of that is thanks to Simone, who was incredibly responsive and thoughtful and made the entire process feel effortless. The Cardinal's Quarters itself is absolutely stunning. The intimate setting, with its chic and romantic ambiance, created the perfect backdrop for our ceremony. The natural light, the beautifully teal walls/ceilings, and the overall atmosphere made the space feel both elegant and welcoming.

We loved having our wedding at the La Jolla Woman's Club. The venue was very prompt and easy to communicate with during the planning process, which helped make things stress-free. The space itself is clean, spacious, and beautifully maintained - perfect for both our ceremony and reception. A highlight was using their grand piano on stage during our mother daughter dance. It was a special moment. They also made the rental process smooth by offering most items directly through their preferred vendor. Overall, fantastic service and great value for a San Diego wedding venue. The stunning architecture and coastal views provided a perfect backdrop for our big day.

The Lane

5.0

San Diego, CA
  • Up to 300 guests
  • All-inclusive
  • Indoor & outdoor
  • Starts at $5,000

Situated on Lane Field, site of the original Padres stadium, The Lane offers 12,000 square feet of versatile indoor / outdoor event space. The layout creates an effortless flow between the gathering areas, culminating in a covered terrace with iconic views of the San Diego Bay. The elevated 3,500-square-foot terrace overlooks the waterfront and Lane Field Park. Enjoy music, lounges, bars, or appetizer stations in the San Diego sunshine before moving the party indoors. The terrace provides the ideal backdrop for cocktail hours, intimate ceremonies, sunset networking events, and more. The Lane also offers a furnished bridal suite, stylish restrooms, a large prep kitchen, and modern amenities. Book The Lane as a turn-key venue, or use the space as a creative palette to bring your vision to life.

After touring several venues, we ended up choosing the very first one we saw—The Lane—and it was absolutely the right call. The venue gave our wedding the exact look and feel we had hoped for: modern, clean, coastal, and elevated without ever feeling formal or stuffy. From the start, we were drawn to The Lane’s gorgeous indoor/outdoor layout, its location close to the airport (super convenient for guests!), extended rental hours (12p–12a), and the fact that tables and chairs were included in the price—all at a very reasonable rate. Another huge plus: its direct connection to multiple hotels, which made setting up room blocks a breeze and took transportation logistics off our plate entirely. That peace of mind was invaluable. Our ceremony took place on the balcony overlooking the water, which gave our guests such a quintessential San Diego experience. Cocktail hour followed at the opposite end of the balcony, keeping the ocean views going as the sun began to set. The reception had a beautiful indoor/outdoor experience—some guests danced the night away while others enjoyed chatting on the balcony. Watching the sunset light up the room during dinner was one of the most memorable moments of the night. With 150 guests, the space felt just right—roomy without feeling too big. The small bridal suite was also a great spot for our wedding party and family to gather before and after the ceremony, and we got some sweet photos in there too. Every step of the day ran smoothly. All of our vendors had no trouble working with The Lane’s team and layout—it was seamless from start to finish. We’re so grateful we found this gem of a venue. If you're looking for something that’s stylish yet relaxed, and offers a true San Diego experience, The Lane is it!

I was anticipating a seamless event thanks to all the online reviews plus word of mouth from friends, and the Chloe's / Golden Road team truly delivered! We planned our wedding reception to be in the Biergarden & Chloe's, then when LA rain started to trickle down, the staff pivoted so that vendors and guests could enjoy the indoor spaces more. Sarah and Andrew are amazing event managers, and the on-site staff went above and beyond to make it a great reception. Guests were clamoring at the to-go boxes to bring food home at the end of the night (we ordered tons of apps, ribs, mac & cheese, mashed potatoes, roasted veggies, churros, you name it). We had around 90 people and even though we were mostly limited indoors, I feel like it was plenty of space as folks spread out between the main room, Snug, Barrel Room, and upstairs area. Thank you for making it a wonderful, no-frills and no-stress reception!

I am not going to lie, there were a few times we were very nervous about booking with Trademark Venues at Green Gable. Our coordinator changed very early in the process, and we weren’t informed why. We did the food tasting and we were so disappointed with everything we tried. We then spoke to someone higher up who helped us customize our menu without getting extra costs. Day of the wedding, everything went absolutely perfect. Gina was a god send, paying attention to every detail. She handled everything and made sure the day was stress free for us. So many guests told us how delicious the food was, so we were thrilled as that was what we were most nervous about. And I can confirm that the cupcakes were sooooo good! Seriously could not be happier. Gina was amazing and the venue is absolutely breathtaking. We absolutely recommend booking Green Gables!!

California offers an incredible 840 miles of coastline, 3,000+ wineries and ancient redwoods for your wedding day. When you choose the Golden State, you're getting exceptional natural lighting for your ceremony across diverse settings from Mediterranean coastal zones to alpine mountain backdrops. Each region has its own distinctive character that can perfectly match your vision.
