Hi, I’m Jake Moreland—the photographer behind Two Birds Photography. I’m also a proud dad to three awesome boys (who I lovingly refer to as my unpaid interns) and a rescue cat who keeps me company—mostly by getting in the way in the best possible way. When I’m not behind the camera, you can usually find me out hiking, camping, painting, digging through vinyl records, or making something with my hands. I’ve always been drawn to the soulful, timeless feel of black and white photography, and that sense of honesty and simplicity is at the heart of everything I shoot.

With two main studios and over 3,000 square feet of divisible space, The Lytle Auditorium offers an intentionally designed, minimalist backdrop for numerous functions. Flooded with daylight and featuring high ceilings, natural materials, a 6' x 36' skylight, 50' catwalk, indoor ivy wall and green ambiance, the space is versatile and easily navigated for weddings and private ceremonies.

I found my passion for music at a young age and knew that I was going to make a living doing it someday! I LOVE pleasing people with my piano playing &/or vocal skills and making their day special with the music that I provide and I also perform with a string trio or quartet and a jazz trio or quartet. I collaborate with the couple to find just the right pieces/songs for their special day!

I'm Melissa (she/her) and I'm so glad you're here. I've been photographing couples in love since 2019 and it's truly an honor to capture your love during one of the most important times of your life. One of my favorite memories in childhood was sneaking away with my sister and looking through old photo albums, especially our parent's wedding album. Providing those happy and emotional memories for my clients is one of my favorite parts of wedding photography. I knew I wanted to be a photographer the day I picked up my first camera. I was only 9, but I took that camera everywhere from that day forward. For me, seeing people's expressions is a huge part of why I do what I do. It's what I love. So i infuse that love in every wedding I photograph. Because we are boutique style studio, I listen to my clients on what's important to them, and I am able to tailor my photography to that. I feel that every client has a different story to tell, so not every wedding is the same. Our style is a mix of classic with a modern twist, and a dash of photojournalism.
