“We just received our photos back from our wedding about a month ago, and we were blown away. We had a feeling the photos would be wonderful because of how professional and attentive our photographer (Athel) was, but of course there is always still that suspense. The team at Indigo and Ivory was wonderful throughout the entire process, always communicative, and it felt like they really cared. Athel even drove a good distance to attend an open house with us at our venue, to get some ideas ahead of time around what settings would be best. He was lovely throughout the whole event, super accommodating of our special requests, and captured all the most important moments. We cannot recommend them enough, the images came out amazing and we are getting tons of compliments! If there is anything I would do differently (and this is not any knock on Indigo and Ivory, this is just general advice for anyone looking to hire any photographer), I probably would have went ahead and added a second photographer for the day (which is something they offer). I wanted to cut costs a bit so we didn't go for it - but of course if you have two you will make sure to get all the different angles you are hoping for and then each person can spend a bit more time with both wedding parties to capture more of those candid moments. I also wish I had made sure to put together a better list of shots that I wanted - once again, these are items that I recommend in general and has nothing to do with Indigo and Ivory. If there are certain things you want your photographer to capture, make sure to write them down and communicate! With all that being said, even if you go with just one photographer and you happen to forget to write down all the specific moments or you just want things to be more free-flow - I 100% recommend Indigo and Ivory for you! They are wonderful and I'm so happy we have these gorgeous images to treasure for years to come.”

“Jenni is an absolute gem of a human and a phenomenal photographer. She is so sweet and such a lovely personality. We first worked with Jenni to take our engagement photos, and my husband and I immediately felt comfortable and familiar with her. We are not comfortable in front of the camera at all, but Jenni somehow made us feel like we'd been taking photos together with her for years. After our engagement shoot, I knew Jenni needed to be our wedding photographer. We more or less picked our wedding date based on her availability! (And it should be noted, I am picky with pictures haha) While "wedding planning" some people recommended I hire a videographer, but with Melissa's photos I didn't even need one! She captures every moment, even ones you didn't realize were being captured. It's like reliving my day every time I look at these photos. There is a lot of beauty in her editing, lighting, and angles. She gives you pose ideas too for those who are a little camera-awkward. Plus I got sooooo much positive feedback from wedding guest about how much they loved her the night of the wedding due to her amazing, fun personality, but then when they saw the outcome of the photos afterwards, everyone including my husband and I were (even more) impressed. I absolutely recommend Photography By Melissa Kelly. He was easy to talk to. We ended up booking him for our engagement photos AND our wedding photos. Our engagement photo session was seamless. Jason was easy to work with and he made my (now) husband and I feel so comfortable. Photo sessions do NOT have to be awkward with Jason. He recommended the LA Arboretum and the Pasadena City Hall for our shoot and we couldn't have asked for any better location. Jason knew exactly where to go and what to do. When it came time for our wedding day, Jason and Mae (his second) were so nice. They did not rush us for any photoshoot. He had us take our time, take breathers, and helped us stress about one less thing during the day. We just got our photos back and they are downright GORGEOUS. I could not believe these were us.
